Hi again Stacey, I had to share the results of making up a base instant oats mix - my 5 year old moko (grand daughter) didn't even notice that I had swapped out the Uncle Toby porridge packet for the made-at-home one using the mix you shared on your video :) I used coconut milk powder that I got ($4.29 for a 100g sachet from Countdown) and added a little of some leftover pumpkin spice mix I had. Yesterday morning she just about ate the whole bowl!! She has to have porridge with cream and I have to add hot buttered vogel toast cut up into bits. It was so satisfying watching her demolish her kai. She didn't want any of the dehydrated apple I had made added though. I'm going to 'experiment' using left-over freeze dried powders I have in my cupboard - blueberry or mango would be nice I think. I figure if I need to keep to a porridge texture to make it appetising for my moko that powders or the like would be better. I won't be buying instant porridge packets now not when I can get a 1.5kg bag of rolled oats for $4.49 and just have to add brown sugar, salt, coconut powder and water. Thank you for this breakfast recipe winner it will definitely be a keeper in our whanau from now on :)

I was thinking of your very recently when there was one apple left, so I cored it [but didn't peel], stuffed the core halfway with raisins, added a knob of butter and a big tablespoon of Golden Syrup [made according to your recipe], then added some water into the ramekin to hydrate the raisins. I cooked it for about 30 minutes with a steel skewer pushed through ,side to side, to transfer heat to the center. When it was done I ate it and sent good thoughts your way. PS I had a little accidento late last year, so I can empathsize with your health issues and pain.

I’m in Australia and we use all Milwaukee Tool battery operated tools. We have the baby chainsaw and I’m taking it to my wisteria tomorrow. Its absolutely brilliant. My two sons are absolutely Milwaukee Tool aficionados. They will not buy anything else. Milwaukee Tool has some great sales too. My son found one for my daughter. Saved her a heap of money. If you buy the same brand of tools it saves so much on batteries. Milwaukee Tool all the way. I don’t have any affiliation with them. They are just a great product across the board. If you buy the same brand of tool the batteries all fit each tool. You can’t go past Milwaukee.

Hi Stacey. I brought battery operated secueters. Game changer for cutting bamboo. I use a reciprocating saw for anything too big to cut with the secueters.

Hi Stacey :-) looking great... just a suggestion about cutting things for the garden, Ryobi does a battery pruning shears and they are great, makes work so easy. PLEASE PLEASE don't get a battery chainsaw... we have been watching reviews on those and they are so dangerous... there is no helping your limbs if it kicks back... stay safe.. 👍👍🤗🤗

Not only is the bamboo free it is also a renewable resource. It grows quickly and if we aren't careful will take over a very large space. You should have plenty for years to come. Your garden bed looks great.

Like your use of bamboo in your garden bed. We cut larger diameter bamboo add built a 3 rail fence around our little garden. Seems to last a long time and it has kept the deer out.

Your little strawberry patch is adorable and "naughty me" would be out there once they started producing and eating them all before you could make anything with them LMAO! And what a Dear Husband is for fixing your wheelbarrow and helping you out - WE LOVE HIM!!! While you are experiencing your "Crisp Fall" here in north Central Texas it is hotter than Hades (right now at 4PM it is currently 104, with a heat index of 117 degrees, I cannot be bothered to figure the Celsius but it doesn't really matter because it's just TOO HOT!) I also have trigeminal neuralgia and am on anti seizure medication. I also have several nerve issues that cause pain in other parts of my body. I do wonder if they are all related? I also have pelvic congestion syndrome which is also related to veins and nerves. Having vericose veins also makes me wonder if they are all related to compression on nerves that causes acute pain. 😢

The bamboo bed does look cute. We have a Ryobi battery chainsaw, and we're gradually changing over all our power tools to the same brand so that we only need a couple of batteries to swap between all of them. The chainsaw has been a godsend to be honest. Whenever I separate eggs for the yolks, I freeze the whites in little bags to pull out when I need them.

Those mini saw work wonders for me. I use them for pruning all the time. Saves my old body wear and tear.

Have you tried chicken soup fertiliser? Place chook poop in a large container, fill with water, leave for a few weeks to cook, then water your fruit and vegetables with it! Our plants grew so big! They loved it, especially the lemon tree and the rhubarb

I got my electric chainsaw from Bunnings, Mitre 10 probably have them too.

Hi Stacey. I’ve had TN for at least 30 years and it’s probably connected to my MS. I’m one of the lucky ones that only get the attacks every few weeks and then only for a few seconds for a couple of days. Worst ones are a couple of minutes when I feel it’s worse than being tazered in the face, but usually it’s over and I’m back to normal the instant it stops. I can’t imagine how hard your condition has been for you as mine affects me for such small amounts of time. I’m glad you have the inner strength to deal with it. Appreciate your cooking videos and you come across as very genuine, and that’s pretty rare these days.

You can buy the little chainsaws. I have a Stihl one. It is amazing. Cuts through really thick branches and trunks!!!

I really like the bamboo bed. It is cute. Fresh strawberries are my favorite. We had a big strawberry patch when I was growing up. I remember going with my momma to pick them. They were so good; sweet and warm from the morning sunshine 🍓
