Do Stacey a huge favour and hit the Like on your way in. Let's get her to 50,000 subs asap! This hard working Kiwi farmers wife most definitely deserves them! 👍👏🏻 🌞 🌠 And yes Stacey, foil on your stove as you have, has been done for generations in our neck of the woods NZ!! 🐓🐥🐄 👩🌾👩🍳 Keep on keeping on. Awesome, easy care and organized kitchen makes life so much better on a daily basis. Well done. 😊 ♦️💐
I really appreciate seeing a true working kitchen being cleaned and organised. RUclips seems to be loaded with kitchens where the only “cooking” is packets being opened, but the organisation is sooooo perfect looking. I am enjoying being entertained and inspired by you and reminded that reality is much nicer than artificial gloss.
LOVE the rack for your aprons and bags, cute and functional! Foil on the burner pans - ABSOLUTELY! I have ALWAYS done this! And until the invention of silicone oven mats, I also lined the bottom of my oven with foil. Because cleaning both of those things is a WHIPPIN. Anyone criticizing the "aesthetics" of it are watching the "influencers" that don't actually use their kitchens. It's always nice to see a real person who uses their kitchen and how they organize it - BRAVA to you Stace! Love & BIG HUGS to you and Husband.
I appreciate you so much. I'm already so embarrassed of my kitchen and it's just a normal everyday kiwi kitchen like you're. You're a beautiful soul ❤❤❤
Thank you, but do not feel embarrassed because until I found a few hacks my kitchen was so disorganized and I still haven't gotten to doing the pantry yet :)
It’s such a great feeling when you clean and organise. I had an idea when watching you trying to clean the bottom shelves, you could try using a mop perhaps? One with a changeable mop head or washable cloth. Just a thought. Take care. 🌷
Oh my goodness, I had to pause your video and went and looked my stove. I felt inspired by your industry and stove top cleaned as is the kitchen wall around stove as well as cupboard fronts and kettle. Pantry will be organised tomorrow so thanks for the inspection 😊
Kia ora Stacey, ooh I love me a good kitchen organizing - and I have one for you and the subscribers. Platters - awkward but essential tableware. I have a very tiny kitchen so space is a premium. I was given 2 stunning but huge platters as a gift, so I put on those Glad elasticised platter and bowl covers over all of my platters so that theres no crust of dust on them and store them on the shelf on top of my microwave oven. Keeps them clean and ready to use every time!
Some great storage ideas, thank you Stacey. Oh dear i know all about how difficult it is clean high windows as i live in a house with them, the bain of my life.
It is marvelous what we can do even when unable to go down on our knees. I have had osteoarthritis in my knees since I was a 17 yr old, & a few years ago found out that it doesn't harm your back as long as you Bend over from the waist which is what I have always done. The lady I was listening to pointed out that there are many cultures of men & women around the world who bend over all their lives to plant rice etc & never have a back problem as they bend over correctly. I am now nearing my 77th birthday & am still able to bend, just not walk as well as I once did. Actually, at the present time we are freezing but my knees are the warmest part of my body due to the inflammation. So happy as today is the shortest day of the year & so from now on we are heading to longer days & spring time. Yippee!! From Australia.
Have found the same about bending rather than kneeling. Both knees need replacing, etc., so too painful to kneel. I want to put drawers where I have plain base cabinets which will help a great deal. We just started summer and longest day so very happy for the long days plus the long twilight and pre-dawn.
IMO, the best organizer is a lazy susan for spices. Have 2 double deckers and a single for tall jars in the upper cabinet. Big plastic totes go in the bottom corner cabinet so things are easier to get to when you pull out a tote rather than having to crawl back in there and have a search party on speed dial. Those hold some cake decorating supplies.
I am in the exact same situation as you with knees that don't work. Both smashed and repaired over the years. I make myself mini mops from a broomstick and a dish mop. Tape the handle of the dishmop to one end of the stick. I have a couple. One is used to clean the floor around the back of the toilets. The other is for general use, skirting boards, and low cupboard mop outs etc.
Hi Stacey, I can relate to the knee problem, I use a swiffer with microfibre cloths to get into low hard to reach places, I also use it for high cupboards so I don't get up on a stepladder. Saves the knees.😊
Good morning Stacey and others, thank you! I also like my things neatly packed or stored! To everyone out there, enjoy your day and your time in the kitchen!!!! What a blessing!! South Africa🎉🤗🤗🤗🤗🌹🌹
I feel you about your knees. I’ve had broken patella’s on each leg and I’ve just done something horrible to the cartilage in one knee. I’m in Victoria, Australia and our doctors have just gone on 3 1/2 months leave. We have no doctor. I have just hunkered down in bed with the occasional anti inflammatory for the last two weeks. I was worried I might need major surgery but I think I turned a corner yesterday. I could actually walk without a massive limp. I feel your pain and the incredible nuisance factor. ❤
Thank you for the video and great ideas . I have your problem at 71 of bending and bad knees however I do this and this helps . I have an old office chair with wheels . I take it into kitchen and I wheel myself around washing the lower cupboard doors and getting into the bottom shelves . It works for me as there is no bending only reaching where I can . I hope this idea can be of help.
Those are all great organization tips/ products. As long as I remember we've used foil under our electric burners, just for the reason you mentioned, easier to clean. May use the extra long individual box for the wraps for those ziplocks that flex( I dislike those) great job Stacy! Take good care!
I got those drawer dividers for my baking utensil drawer. Game changer! Only problem was the drawer is very shallow and had to remove 1/4" off the edges of the divider so they fit.
It’s amazing the difference a few organisation products can make. I will definitely be investing in drawer dividers. In regards to low cupboard cleaning, I have taken to sitting on a low stool, it makes a big difference to what I can do now. I hope it will be something that might work for you too. ❤❤
Check out what your cupboard doors are made from, there are paints that go over laminate, my son in law did an absolutely fabulous job repainting their kitchen, and yes anyone who has that style of stove element has used tinfoil just as you showed, I certainly did.👍🌏
Oh my... I've been putting off deep cleaning and reorganising the kitchen cupboards for a few months now... Winter is the best time to do things like this! Thanks for this gentle nudge, hehehe... I needed it! 🎉
Hi Stacey. Yes you can paint over your cupboards. You will need to clean them well, then give them a light sandpaper first. Make sure you choose the right paint to use as not all are suitable. Just check with the paint supplier.
We painted our kitchen cupboard doors. It required a special type of paint which was a mix of paint and a hardener, called a two-pack paint (White Knight brand). It's 8 years now and there are a few chips and dings, but really it's lasted very well. I don't have a preferred time to reorganise the kitchen, as I have to do it every time I buy something new in order to fit it in! Recently reorganised my freezers and now have baskets like you for all the small things. Thanks for that idea, I love it! Also, I said I'd let you know how the Russell Hobbs vac sealer went. Well, I gave it a good workout as we bought a whole goat (butchered for us) and packed it all up for the freezer. I was so pleased with the way it went! Of course I don't have anything to compare it with (other than watching you) but I can see I'm going to love it.
That is great to hear, it will be good to see how the seals go as well while in the freezer. You must be feeling so much better having a little more organized space in the freezer.
I have every kitchen and pantry storage receptacle known to man! Every drawer, every shelf is organised - dispensers, clear glass canisters, spice racks, lazy susans, baskets, dividers etc along with your ziplock bag and baking paper ones. I had 2 spare spots in the bag storage so popped in the rubbish bag roll and dishcloths. Love love love organisation!
Hi Stacey, Nice video, love the apron tree, the other hole in your bag organizer or the one that is by itself you can put disposable gloves. I can't kneel either what i did is use BBQ tongs and spatula metal ones to reach into lower cabinets i will use the tongs to reach things is the back and i use spatula when i wipe the cabinet spray the put cloth on shelf use spatula to push back and forward to wipe over, i sit on my office chair because of my bad back.😜🤭
That's exactly what I thought at the utensiles. I've moved some utensiles to an overflow drawer but still can't find anything. I've wanted it divided up but a divider would take up too much space so not everything would fit back in. 5 and a half drawers - knives and utensiles, tableware, rolls of foil/paper and baggies, rags and towels, overflow odds and ends and a small junk drawer. No wall space.
The file racks! What an excellent idea for my chopping boards too! I can see them all walking out of the store before I get a chance to get myself some. Fabulous idea. I store my cutlery upright in a plastic container that’s supposed to have pens and pencils in it. The whole thing gets taken to the table when I have people over. Thanks for sharing. It’s given me. Lots of ideas now. To the kitchen we will go!!
I had dividers put in the baking pan cabinet when new and love them upright so I don't have them stacked and digging through the pile every time. Much the same as the file racks. A great option.
I have bought the baskets with handle to store smaller items in my pantry. You can pull it out easily instead if things falling out. I categorise them according to my daily meal prep. The same with the fridge. The shops have different sizes to suit. I still have to reorganise once a month due to busy times when I pull things out. I have a slim tall basket for large bottles with a handle. Smaller size baskets for tins and small jars.
Hi Stacey..oh my gosh..I don't know about you and others..but like you I probably only get the full kitchen reset once a year🤦♀️..BUUTT..the satisfaction when you've finished is like "oh my gee why didn't I do that sooner "haha.. It's like when you clean all the windows..and the house looks brighter literally!!great job once again loved this Stacey.. Love how you always keep it real❣️Take Care love from WA!
Well done , I hate those cleaning out drawer and cupboard jobs. Congratulations on your new apron stand, it looks great. Now all you need is a nice relaxing cuppa and a big piece of cake.!! ❤❤❤
More and more kitchens are going to drawers, my brother in law and his wife have done that for all the lower cabs, its great. Only a few of mine are drawes and I love the ones that are
I like to do my deep cleaning and reorganizing in the spring and in the fall. I got some of those baskets for my freezer and I love it! I have so much more room and it's organized now. I love the apron tree; it's cute. I hope you're doing well. I really enjoyed this video. I'm always looking for organization ideas.
Could put gloves for cooking jobs in one bamboo holder. I also have same bamboo storage. Sorted out my kitchen draws today. Feels good once all done. 😊😊
I can't get down to clean bottom cabinets either to help I purchased a mop that I use for clearing cabinets only. I use foil to cover mine too. Love your videos.
Cleaning without bending.... I have found a lot of use with a soft broom, and a squeegy on a long broom poll. I use the broom to scrub at length, the the squeegy to wipe everything down. You can put a cloth under the squeezy and wipe down things like an extended arm.
I'm not a fan of Formica/Melamine benchtops, but if you are that's cool, and it's not too difficult to put new melamine on your benchtops with a handy husband. We have engineered stone benchtops which are pretty nice but if I had your kitchen, my preference would be to replace that melamine with timber. Depending on your budget you could go for a nice dense hardwood or a cheaper option is "rubberwood" Bunnings sells that and I think it's cheaper than melamine. As for when I reorganize ..... well I must do it one day 😊 Cheers!
I just spent the afternoon doing the same. Cleaning out drawers, organizing. The worst was under the sink, which hadn't really done for ages. Now floor a disaster and dishes left to do.
I love your “go with the flow attitude”….. making it work any way you can 😊…. I had an electric stove like you have years ago, and I always used aluminum foil on the trays as well…I never had a problem either….. btw I can’t get down on floor either to clean any longer …have you thought of using something similar to a swiffer mop or sponge pad with a long handle to be able to clean down in those cabinets ….I’ve been using one recently and it has helped me clean things I wasn’t able to get to before. Hope you have a good week!
Winter is the only time for a clean out, a chance to get busy without getting too hot, and soup in the Thermomix for dinner so you don’t have to cook a meal when you have been working in the kitchen all day. Cupboards get messy when you ability to kneel or squat is limited, yep, I know!👍🌏
Eureka, a couple years ago, I was grumbling about shrinkflation with slightly smaller cans and packaging. Lightbulb moment when the slightly smaller cans of veg and such would fit 3 stacked on different pantry shelves rather than 2 stacked that left empty spaces! Now, the pantry holds more. Need to find something else to hang up lightweight items on the inside of the pantry door. The sticky hooks fall off.
Hi Stacey, awesome that you found your pinnie rack, looks awesome! I use file holders too for my "thingy's"just about to hop on to The Mix and grab me some baking trays too. Thanks for sharing as always xx
You can paint formica cupboards - 2 coats of melamine primer followed by 2 coats of oil paint works well. My yellowing kitchen cupboards became light blue. Updating the handles lifts it to another level too!
My husband has brought home a kitchen that was taken out of a home so I guess I will see how that goes :) It will be nice even if it is just for the handles and a few extra cupboards.
Hi Stacy, great watch as usual .. I'm in the same boat with poor knees plus hernia, so l really get what you're saying about cleaning. Wiping out those lower cupboards, it's torture. Honestly, it is, BUT heres atip . We'll l hope it is for your next cupboard cleaning spruce up ..l use a mop only for cupboards, though nothing else the micro mops are best as you can change the cloths and machine wash till nxt time ..hopefully that was a handy hint 😊🎉
Hi Stacy, I'm a new subscriber and thoroughly enjoying your channel. Love to declutter or just even move things around. Love those drawer dividers, might just have to look into them.
I love watching organisation tips and have tried a few myself. I ended up with a new kitchen which unfortunately has less storage than my old one even though it is much nicer. So now have drawers to put pots etc in so I bought a rack thing with wire dividers you can adjust to fit and put in the drawers and then put my pots and lids in and really happy with it. I got it off Temu. So happy bought a 2nd one as managed to fit 2 of them in the one drawer so now most of my pots all in that drawer. Have been looking at those containers for gladwrap and foil etc too will need to measure drawer to see if would fit. Also bought those plastic see through small containers etc to separate things in my drawers and happy with result although is a trial and error to get to fit and have since seen the dividers where you can adjust lengthways and with the slot in dividers. Re electric foil plates I used these all the time in with my last oventop but as you no doubt know you can't buy them in NZ any more at least not in Auckland - very good idea doing your own with foil. I now have a ceramic top which is hard to keep clean! Also having trouble finding freezer bags too in both NW & Woolies is very frustrating. Can't use Gilmours as I don't have a card. I don't have the space in drawer for the file racks for oven trays etc so still trying to come up with ideas for that. PS thanks for tip about the thermamix shop will go look.
Hi Stacey I’m also a new subscriber I recently found your channel and I’m currently binge watching all your videos. I feel like your an old friend (hope that doesn’t sound creepy) also you have saved me lots of money with your recipes ❤️🇦🇺
Oh my.Is there not always something to organize in kitchen. And least you do it becomes more. you have done pretty good job! Cheers p.s. Forgt to ask where did you buy big bags of spices?
Does it cost you much for the spices is it a wholesale place you buy it at...or a commercial cooking shop... Yes My Grandma used to put Alfoil on her stove eliments to stop it getting dirty...easier to clean...😅😅😅 Did U get a replacement knee done sorry can't remember...😅😅😅
I thought you might like to know this: I'm DEFINITELY subscribed... But this video isn't showing up in my subscriptions feed at all! I was in my home feed, though. So I don't know what's going on with RUclips!
Thanks for letting me know. I suspected as much, as my views are quite low for how many subscribers I have. I know the same thing happens with some of the channels I like to follow as well.
New sub here. I love how it feels like we are right there with you in your videos, not fake and overly done.
Thank you and welcome to the channel :)
Do Stacey a huge favour and hit the Like on your way in. Let's get her to 50,000 subs asap! This hard working Kiwi farmers wife most definitely deserves them! 👍👏🏻 🌞 🌠
And yes Stacey, foil on your stove as you have, has been done for generations in our neck of the woods NZ!! 🐓🐥🐄 👩🌾👩🍳 Keep on keeping on. Awesome, easy care and organized kitchen makes life so much better on a daily basis. Well done. 😊 ♦️💐
I agree with you about the 50,000 subs. I subscribed last week when I came across her channel 👍
Thanks so much for your lovely, kind words of encouragement :)
Thanks so much for joining along :)
Thank you so much 😊
Keeping it real. Just one of the many reasons I love your channel.
I appreciate that
LOVE the rack for your aprons and bags, cute and functional! Foil on the burner pans - ABSOLUTELY! I have ALWAYS done this! Ohh I have not seen silicone oven liners :-0
I remember Mum always put the foil on the elements to keep it clean.
My parents always did the foil trick! Aussie here
My dad even put it on the white wall tiles 😆
I would use a swiffer mop handle with the microfiber cloths to clean the lower cabinets.
It’s such a great feeling when you clean and organise. I had an idea when watching you trying to clean the bottom shelves, you could try using a mop perhaps? One with a changeable mop head or washable cloth. Just a thought. Take care. 🌷
Yes, that's what I do, with a microfibre mophead that goes in the washing machine afterwards.
Oh my goodness, I had to pause your video and went and looked my stove. I felt inspired by your industry and stove top cleaned as is the kitchen wall around stove as well as cupboard fronts and kettle. Pantry will be organised tomorrow so thanks for the inspection 😊
Get yourself a sponge mop. Spray the bottom cabinet and sponge mop it out. You can also tie a towel on a second mop to dry it out
Kia ora Stacey, ooh I love me a good kitchen organizing - and I have one for you and the subscribers. Platters - awkward but essential tableware. I have a very tiny kitchen so space is a premium. A desk chair on wheels is great too. You can raise or lower it and scoot along.
I used book covering contact on my cupboard doors & draws, I even used it on my kitchen bench tops because they were a bright yellow 😆
Check out what your cupboard doors are made from, there are paints that go over laminate, my son in law did an absolutely fabulous job repainting their kitchen, and yes anyone who has that style of stove element has used tinfoil just as you showed, I certainly did.👍🌏
Stacey take that drawer front to the hardware and ask the paint expert what paint to use. They'll know.
Oh my... I've been putting off deep cleaning and reorganising the kitchen cupboards for a few months now... Winter is the best time to do things like this! Thanks for this gentle nudge, hehehe... I needed it! 🎉

Great weekend with Grandies..hope you did also, have a great week Stacey❣️
I've always used foil on my drip trays. They even sell foil drip tray liners.
You can paint formica - there are sealer/primer products to apply under top coat. Jan from Kalamunda, West Oz
Well done , I hate those cleaning out drawer and cupboard jobs. Congratulations on your new apron stand, it looks great. Now all you need is a nice relaxing cuppa and a big piece of cake.!! ❤❤❤
I wish when they make kitchens they do deep draws instead of cupboard doors. Easy to get too and not broken doors
More and more kitchens are going to drawers, my brother in law and his wife have done that for all the lower cabs, its great. Only a few of mine are drawes and I love the ones that are
it’s so fun organising 🗄📤👗🧤👩🏼🍳
Could use the extra box for the larger freezer bags..good job😊
I made the lemon slice and the apricot slice yesterday.. and enjoying them..lol
Thank you :)
Thank you
I don’t have a showcase kitchen and this made organising what I’ve got seem very doable and I have been putting it off for so long
Could put gloves for cooking jobs in one bamboo holder. I also have same bamboo storage. Sorted out my kitchen draws today. Feels good once all done. 😊😊
YES, gloves would be a great thing to add in there, Thank you
I can't get down to clean bottom cabinets either to help I purchased a mop that I use for clearing cabinets only.

I love wood but unfortunately, I have to do with what I have got. Thanks for some great suggestions :)
Well done a big day for you.
I just spent the afternoon doing the same. Cleaning out drawers, organizing. The worst was under the sink, which hadn't really done for ages. Now floor a disaster and dishes left to do.
My under the sink cupboard is needed a big clean up as well. Thanks for the reminder
With my OCD I’m loving this episode. I love a good clean up and out!!! 🎉😃
You could use your clean mop to do bottom cupboards
Great idea :)
I bought organizers for my bags 4 or 5 months ago, i still love the look. But your box looks a lot nicer than mine. Well Done!👏👏
I'm taking notes! Mine is a work in progress.
Yes, I use one of those Swiffer type mops. However stubborn stains I use a rag and my foot. I hope you have a good week too :)
@@FarmersWifeHomestead I haven’t tried the foot thing! I must give that a try! 😃
You are amazing Stacey, makes me feel really lazy so I must get going on my kitchen soon xx
Oh no, I bet you aren't! I do a little job, have to rest my knees then do a bit more....rest. I certainly can't do it all at once anymore :)
❤ nice work!
Hi Stacey, awesome that you found your pinnie rack, looks awesome! I use file holders too for my "thingy's"just about to hop on to The Mix and grab me some baking trays too. Thanks for sharing as always xx
Great job, well done
You can get paint that goes over laminate. I like the colour you have though. Maybe some new handles for a refresh.
The problem is because its cream I have to clean them daily as they show up dirty marks so easily.
Such a great idea. I just love my RUclips community you all have some great ideas :)
At Bunnings you can purchase laminate paint for kitchen and bathrtoom cabinets. I think the brand is White Knight or it is in Aus.
Oh thank you!
Hi Stacy, I'm a new subscriber and thoroughly enjoying your channel. Love to declutter or just even move things around. Love those drawer dividers, might just have to look into them.
Welcome to the channel :)
Ah that red apron is Soooo beautiful
It sure is lovely :)
Hi Stacey I’m also a new subscriber I recently found your channel and I’m currently binge watching all your videos. I feel like your an old friend (hope that doesn’t sound creepy) also you have saved me lots of money with your recipes ❤️🇦🇺
You could vinyl wrap the cupboards
You've got that lovely green top on again. Looking good. You've reminded me I must clean out my pantry too. 😊
Thank you :)
Good morning lovely! Cuppa in hand, I'm glued for the next 38 minutes 🩷
Good morning! I hope you are having a good weekend :)
Thanks
Thank you :)
I don't know why, but us women we really love stuff to put stuff in.

I’m creating a larder at the moment in my kitchen

Oh my.Is there not always something to organize in kitchen. And least you do it becomes more. you have done pretty good job! Cheers p.s. Forgt to ask where did you buy big bags of spices?
I got them at Gilmours :)
@@FarmersWifeHomestead Thank you
Come and tidy up my kitchen now!
Really look forward to your videos
Thank you :)
Oh those corner cupboards are so inconvenient….. I have two of them 😡
It’s a nice feeling to have everything organised (now let it stay like it eh!!!)
LOL yes, they are! It should do as I'm the only one cleaning and doing the dishes so if it gets untidy it's my fault LOL
When my ocd kicks in necause you missed a mark on your stove, for me to realise its a mark on my screen....lmao
Where did you get your chopping knife with white handle from.
Does it cost you much for the spices is it a wholesale place you buy it at...or a commercial cooking shop...
Yes My Grandma used to put Alfoil on her stove eliments to stop it getting dirty...easier to clean...😅😅😅
Did U get a replacement knee done sorry can't remember...😅😅😅
No, they took the torn meniscus out but a full replacement is on the cards.
Is that piece for paper towels
I know what you mean with the cleaning jobs lower down, same, knees just don’t want to cooperate, can’t kneel down
I thought you might like to know this: I'm DEFINITELY subscribed...
Great job, well done
