I watched your video around 12.30am kiwi time. and have just made your cinnamon rolls. OMG, I have eaten two of them at 1.47 am. Thank you for sharing your knowledge on budget cooking and how to real. Can't wait to see on your website about the workshops. I hope govt department like WINZ use you to show those who struggle to cook real food for their families. And don't have access to the internet. I have been going to alot of second hand shops now and buying up jars etc. You are inspirational. I would love to do any of your workshops.
Thanks so much. I can't believe you made them so early hehe
If you let me know where you are based I am sure we can organize a workshop. You can email me :-)
I just made your cinnamon buns. Yum yum yum. Even the next day the buns was fresh. Having said that they were eaten and gone within the day by 2 people. I made 12 and they were big still. Enjoying your yeast recipes.❤❤❤
Since you made hubby his favourite Cinnamon buns, l think he should fix that drawer 🤭
hahahaha hmmm
In this house we call it "Wash Your Sister Sauce"
Congrats on the workshops! They will all love you and your teaching style, I know they will.
Hahaha I love that
OMG I love that, my hubby calls it 'worse than sh**t sauce' but im gonna use your saying now, its funny and perfect..
Hello my friend!..watch you all the time.. Congratulation for workshop !
Oh Stacey, you fill my heart with such joy watching you. Congratulations on your workshop, you're gonna rock it. I really like your hash recipe its kinda like a shepherds pie but better cause you blitzed everything so it cooks in no time. Those cinnamon rolls look devine but if i made them I would HAVE to eat them and that's not so good..... so will wait until we have a family event and make them for that. Good luck with your knee surgery also, you will be running around your kitchen pain free in no time.. ❤🧡💛💚💙💜
Ps Stacy in uk we pronounce it as wooster sauce ( mad english) xxx
If you are Australian and old enough you pronounce it Wooster as well.
Thanks Stacey, Today using your recipes, I have made bread, cheesy bread rolls, and the cinnamon rolls are waiting to go into the oven. I have pulled the corn beef out of the freezer for tomorrow nights tea. My family know all about you, as I chat about the wonderful lady who has renewed my love for cooking
Hello Stacey, I wholeheartedly agree with MsPickle you’re such a kindred soul and the love you put into every meal is amazing! Love watching you! Well done my dear! 🤗🥄
Never had corned beef like that! It looks sooooo yummy 😊 AND those cinnamon buns for dessert! I could inhale them all. Delicious!
Yay Stacey- THANK YOU for the cinnamon buns recipe- I have been waiting for it and looking forward to giving it a go❤in the weekend. Congrats on running community workshops that is just brilliant!
So, tried these today, omg, they went down a treat, they are pretty damed great, the cinnamon rolls Im talking about, Corned beef is family staple
Hi Stacey, I just love watching your video on cinnamon buns.
I usually cook my corned beef from frozen because ... not organised. A glug of malt vinegar, a big squeeze of golden syrup, an onion cut in half, a few peppercorns and add water about two thirds up. Pressure cook 90 minutes on high. I save and freeze the extra cooking liquid for making mustard sauce any time. Big fan of mustard sauce (recipe in the old Edmonds book) 😊 xx
How exciting about your workshops. If it means you're away from us, I understand and are happy for you but we'd miss you!!
Congratulations on the Workshops! I love how you make everything simple to understand and appreciate the written recipes in the description. With our leftover silverside I make fritters, slice the silverside around 1/2 cm thick, make a batter with plain flour, salt, beaten egg and milk, thick enough to stick to the meat when you dip it in to coat it then fry in melted butter. Of course I have tomatoe sauce with them but 3 out of 4 of my kids have BBQ sauce😅
Those buns look delishious
HI Stacey. Thanks for your latest video. Congratulations on achieving your dream of conducting workshops. I know they will be popular. I cook my corned beef as you do except I don't use cloves. I add a halved skin on onion, garlic and parsley. Love your work. 😊
Whoop whoop go Stacey🎉 congratulations on the workshop opportunity & what an opportunity for the rest of us that we may be part of them in the future. Some have a 4 leaf clover, the green top is yours & hard work of course 🤗 now back to watching your video 🌻👍
You’re happy dancing over the corned beef says it all Happy Lady
In a past life I was a chef in a nursing home, with the vinegar and sugar I'd sling in a whole peeled onion which I'd stud with 6-8 cloves, and 3 or 4 bay leaves (depending on how many silversides I was cooking.)
Love your channel and It's rekindled my love for cooking, thank you.
Paul, from Salisbury East in South Australia
OMG! The corned beef hash looks delish. 💙👍🏻 My fam loves corned beef, I can't believe how much in price its gone up, here in the US just 3 & a half years ago it was $8 now its $18 for around 3lb's 😮Crazy! Your cinnamon roll are perfect!
If there's anyone out there that doesn't know what corned beef is, I've heard it called salt beef, silverside, brisket, and bottom round.
It's basically a cheaper cut of beef - think slow cooking. My corned beef is cooked with onion, carrot, celery salt, bay, cloves, vinegar, sugar, pepper, and English mustard.
My family loves it! Great video Stacey, hopefully, more people will realize how tasty corned beef can be and relatively cheap.
As for the cinnamon rolls, nope I'm watching my weight and there's too much of it! 🤣 They look lovely though. Cheers!
Good morning Stacy. Here in the US it is also known as corned beef. We can buy it just as you have. It also comes chopped in a can. But I like fixing it the way you’re doing. 😋
Here in the southern part of the US, my mother made a form of corned beef hash, but not as delicious looking as yours, though I did enjoy it. Back then (I'm 60+) she heated the canned corned beef in a skillet and added chopped boiled potatoes instead of mashed. Only thing we've typically done with mashed topping is shepherds/cottage pie, so it's nice to see it used for another dish.
I have tried making a corned beef and cabbage once that I really enjoyed, but my family did not, so obviously i havent made it again. I will have to try it some day with the spices and sweet topping like yours.
So happy to hear that one of your dreams are coming true. I know those you teach will enjoy and truly appreciate what you share with them.
Yes, over here I make hash with chopped potatoes fried in with whatever meat and a bit of leftover gravy. Course we're not a corned beef family. lol But leftover roast beef! Yum!!!
Hi Stacey....congratulations on the workshop gig!!! You will be fantastic!! Thanks for today's recipes!! Am defs doing the cinnamon buns tomorrow...thank you xx
Yay! Thank you!
Love your videos. Love Cinnamon buns. Can’t wait for the next video. ❤
How exciting for the opportunity to share you knowledge with your community. Congratulations. Next time I see corned beef on special (probably before St. Paddy's Day), I'll be buying extra so I can try this dish! Yum! Brisket is too popular here to find corned beef regularly in the supermarket.
Hello Stacey, thank you for posting real life foods we can all cook. Awesome video. Be blessed. NYC, USA
We call it silverside here in Western Australia and I cook mine same way as you do
Stacey, so happy for you on your upcoming workshop! Kudos! from Jan in Canada
How exciting, another new challenge.
Green really suits you 😊
Cool, rainy day here Stace. Both those dishes would be just the ticket!
Hi Stacy congratulations on workshops, you will be amazing, some people will use cubed potatoes, chopped onions, salt, chopped carrots and place a fried egg on top once it is on top of the serving plate, that’s not fair you have a cinnamon roll yyyuuummm! You made me hungry with your hash and the roll, your hubby is going to love it. Thank You for showing us your cooking ❤
Hi Stacey always such a pleasure watchin your vids, those cinnamon rolls are whoppers! definitely making those and drizzling them with caramel sauce.
ohhhh yumm!
That filling looks like it would be good in handpies.I think I will give it a try
Congratulations on the workshop! Wish you could video those, that would be fun to see ❤ hugs 🤗
Exciting news about your workshops, congratulations!! So happy for you, Stacey.
Looking forward to making your cinnamon rolls. They look amazing!
Love the look of your cinnamon buns. Will make them for my daughter as they don’t have fruit in them. Lovely recipe. Thank you from Gloucester, uk.😊
Your lovely green top suits you very well. Best wishes for the new venture for showing people back to basic from scratch cooking.
Your corned beef hash reminds me of Nana making Shepherds Pie from the left over roast meat. Same principle & delicious 😋
Thanks for the great cinnamon roll recipe. Just finished making them and am so happy how they turned out. Light and fluffy.ive tried so many times to make sweet dough rolls and always have been disappointed with the result. Always hard rocks. But this recipe is fantastic, thank you!
You measure like I do hahaha 🫢 I love old fashion cooking , no fancy , expensive stuff 😉🐨💗
Huge congratulations Stacey...your workshops will be so yum, helpful and beneficial to those that come. Looking forward to watching the cinnamon bun part of this video!! 😄
Congratulations Stacey i'm sure the workshop will be very successful for you. Corned beef hash!! Oh how i love it. The cinnamon buns look wonderful, hope hubby enjoys them❤
Corned beef hash looks so delish.
Thanks Stacey, you always make my day with your videos🌻☺️ maybe you could approach govt and get them to apply a menu of yours for school lunches? they are addressing this at the moment. I am going to try your corned beef recipe and the cinnamon buns, they look delicious.
Best wishes for the knee surgery🌹💐
Perfect- I'll be able to do something with that hunk of corned beef form my freezer :-)!
I usually put a glug of malt vinegar and a couple of hefty squeezes of golden syrup in with the corned beef - I guess that's pretty much the same as using brown sugar! I've never thought of using cloves though - next time!
I wrote the recipe will definitely make them
I love watching your videos. Ive never seen corn beef hash before that looks great. So many great ideas you share with us thankyou ❤❤
I'm so jealous right now lol, I love corned beef hash and cinnamon buns and yours look amazing ❤
You cook your corned beef the exact same way my Mum did. So many memories 💐
I'm in Australia. I cook my corned beef the same as you. Yum. Im cooking your hash for dinner tonight. As for your workshops, good for you. They should be incredibly successful ❤
Thats very exciting for you and those that will learn.
Congratulations on this amazing opportunity 🎉
Never made corned silverside mash but I am certainly going to give it a try , it looks delicious but forget the tomato sauce ,
Its 1:04am US time....... I'm absolutely starving at the moment - mm mm good!!
Hi Stacey, corned beef hash........YUM,YUM, YUM ❤❤❤ xx
Hi from Australia,
First time I ever made these, I used bread machine.
They turned out perfect, except I was a a bit heavy handed with the brown sugar inside.
Thank you for the recipe. 😘
Love your channel.
I wanted to add a photo of them, but couldn’t work out how.
I'm not a fan of silverside/ corned beef. My mum made it too much when we were kids. I'm happy to have it once a year. Might try the hash recipe for my hubby tho! The cinnamon buns looked divine! Better than shop bought!
Super news re your work shop.Yummy meal.😄🎉🌞
stacey its the same in australia tommy sauce ketchup is an american thing i am from the uk but live in oz but i prefare hienz ketchup my self husband just like the cheap woolies one made the cinnamon buns last night but while the dough was rising i soaked some sultana's in hot water for an hour and threw them on just befor roling it up every one loved them .
Wow Stacey, another confectionery masterpiece! My lot like sultanas so I added them at the cinnamon spreading stage. They disappeared quickly! Thanks for super guidance. X
Awesome about your workshops. That hash looked yummy, would work with leftover roast, canned ham, turkey or whathaveyou. I like black pepper in my potatoes and some parsley.
Those cinnamon rolls would never last in my home-and I'm single. 😅
I envy your strong hands! My hands are weak with arthritis and Carpal tunnel but l do what l can😊
ok do the workshops please!- Big help with the corn beef hash - I've had a huge lump in the freezer- we could not get through it after the first cooking ( it was given to us ) I will hash it tomorrow - as I have a nasty onion intolerance Ill pop some granny smith apples in yumm thank you
I have always been scared to cook corned beef as l had no idea it was that easy! Never heard of corned beef hash, we are always learning through your videos 👍
The package often has written instructions printed on it. Delicious!
I totally can identify with your feelings and I'll have you in my thoughts! I'm so glad to have found you on youtube...love your vids and honestly do feel like I'm in the kitchen with you AND now I want tomato soup lol
I put 2 onions, cut in half, 5 or 6 whole carrots.. salt, black peppercorns, 2 teaspoons sugar..2 bay leaves and a good glug of white vinegar ..I always make mine with cheese sauce, as I cook broccoli/cauli on side, which loves cheese sauce..and mashed potatoes and cabbage..regards Karolyn Melbourne
After having just burnt a most beloved pot to corn beef, my brand new way of doing this via my slow cooker. 4 hours on low. An absolute treat. 4 hours of cooking. No stress and I got a nap in.
Have always done my corn beef with:
A whole onion
A carrot or two chopped into say thirds
Peppercorns
Whole Cloves maybe a dozen
Bay leaves
Vinegar
Water until it covers the corn beef.
I always serve mine with peas, carrot, brocoli, mashed potato and homemade white sauce.
That’s the way I do it too. I’ve never heard of corned beef hash. I’m Australian.
Me too plus cabbage!
I would've thought we would all prefer smaller buns and eating those delicious cinnamon buns isn't going to help.Wish I was invited to dinner at your place Stacey. 🇳🇿🇦🇺
Looks delicious. And PS... there is no dainty when it comes to cinnamon rolls. LOL You just have to dive in. Have to.
I was going to make a cottage pie, but I have some corned beef in the freezer, and will make your corned beef hash. I love cinnamon scrolls, or coffee scrolls where I come from, I have never made them before, but am excited to give them a try
Oh wow, congrats on the workshops! I know that helping and teaching others is so very important to you! They are going to LOVE you, just as we do! This vid and these recipes are brilliant and of course will try these as well - I have so much cooking to do LOL! I too buy my yeast in bulk and keep it in the freezer - I always proof it before adding it to a recipe and it is still active, even after seven years! And for me, it's always "W sauce" because even if I try to pronounce it in my head, I can't, it gets garbled. Anyway, I am really proud of you my friend, and so happy for your successes! You are such a gem! In between your busy schedule please make sure you are taking time just for you to replenish your soul. Love & to you
Thankyou! Your cooking always makes my mouth water & I can't wait to try the buns & corned beef hash! Not all in one day for me tho 😊
You'll be an awesome teacher!
Thank you :-)
Hi. Corned beef, cabbage, mashed potato and carrots is the first meal I have when I visit family. So yummy. Im going to try the buns this weekend, don't do baking anymore but these too hard to resist. Baked every day when kids were at school in NZ. Do kiwi mums still do this? I expect a lot have to work now so don't have the time. Good luck with the workshops, really good idea 💡
Congratulations on this exciting opportunity to give back to your community and share your wealth of knowledge and skills. Very proud of all you have achieved 👏
Thank you :-)
Corned beef hash in the North of England is a stew. Potatoes, onions, carrots and seasoning also way back you would put a crust top on it and slow cook it in the oven. Delicious. Thanks for your videos, you are lovely ❤❤❤🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Do you have a recipe for custard scrolls?
Thank you for both recipes! I had never thought to chop (mince) my meat in a food processor. I look forward to trying that in the future. Here in the U.S., where I live, we have both tomato sauce and tomato ketchup (or spelled catsup). Tomato sauce is usually made with tomatoes and salt (sometimes a little seasoning, if you want Italian or basil in it). Tomato ketchup (catsup) is usually made with tomatoes, a little vinegar, a little sweetener (sugar, honey, etc.), and some spices.
So, I am assuming your tomato sauce/catsup for your hash is more like our tomato sauce, or is it like our tomato catsup with a little vinegar and sweetener in it?
Thanks again for 2 delicious recipes!!!
Yes..corned beef with cheese sauce..love corned beef sandwich with chutney..good on you..congratulations..regards Karolyn Melbourne
From an Aussie sister, love corned beef as well. We grew up on corned beef & on a Sunday for tea, my mother used to make a batter, coat the meat slices & then drop them into the frypan & cook until done, then put some tomato sauce on them & enjoy! She also did slices of tomato as well as slices of potato. They made a change from veggies every other night. If she had stale bread, then she made jaffles as we had a wood stove in those days & the old jaffle irons, so another enjoyable Sunday night dinner. Usually we had corned beef on Saturday night & then the rest of it on our lunches during the week which we all enjoyed. She did the same with the roast Lamb, so it made up nicer fillings on our sandwiches other than the usual vegemite & cheese or peanut butter & honey. Though Mondays were the highlight for us kids as she gave us each a shilling to buy our lunch as in those days one didn't have a freezer like today & bread went stale - not moldy like today!! My grandmother was a bread maker but mum wasn't.
Hi Stacey. Yay, a workshop. I am waiting with baited breath to find out the details as I am keen to come. It's 3.30 in the morning but now I want to make cinnamon rolls 😋. I do my corned beef the same as you and use golden syrup instead of sugar. So delicious. I love hash as well so will have to try your recipe
Where are you based?
@@FarmersWifeHomestead Hamilton. I'm the Waikato girl who has the same oven as you and holds it closed with a chair 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for the video. They look amazing! I did make an attempt to follow the recipe for the cinnamon buns however, I managed to make dwarf buns, so they will be handy for anyone needing ammunition for a trebuchet, :(
Congrates Stacy on your New Workshop adventures. I don't use vinegar as the meat has already been corned using the background corning process from stores or butcheries. I corn mine
and rinse off and then ready to use my grandma's recipe which does not use Vinger in it, as you say each to their own. Be cool for you to do a workshop down my way. Just a Question: what is the best pressure cooker to buy in NZ or your thoughts on the ones on the market? Love the cinnamon rolls. Love you hun and Take care xx
They both look delicious 😋 the cornbeef l can see neither one of those 2 recipes lasting long in this house. Mind you l have watched your videos made them &they have gone a couple of hrs after coming out of the oven. Congrats on your greet & meet sorry can't think of the word for it. Would you be doing apple turnovers when you do 🍎 🥧, 🍒 🥧, 🍑 🥧 . Awesome videos Stace really enjoy learning new recipes, thank you & congrats
I want to make both of them. They look delicious. Love cinnamon buns never made them follow your recipe. I liked the idea of your cornbeef hash want to make that. They both seemed easy to do.
Just made the scrolls today and my kids absolutely enjoyed them. So easy to make and turned out lovely, thanks ❤
Made these they are awesome
Hi ya Stacey 👋 I'm disappointed you didn't pass me a cinnamon bun to try 😁 they look so yummy! I will have to try a gluten free version. Do you think they'd freeze ok? In all the years I've been making corned sliverside, I've never tried the leftovers like, I will most definitely try. Thanks so much, I'm really enjoying your natural fuss free videos. Best wishes for your upcoming surgery.
You’re amazing!! ❤ I love it when you taste the food. Some of the food I wouldn’t normally eat, but seeing your reaction makes me want to try it haha
I'm sitting here looking at your cinnamon roll break off with all its puffy flakey goodness and can't help shouting out to you "OMIGOD you're a bloody neat sheila allright!". I can taste it already - making it tomorrow.
Corn beef hash now that’s a memory. Our beautiful daycare cook was from Manchester and she would cook this for the children once a week. It was a popular dish in England schools she said ❤ but made from tin corn beef
Good news re your workshop, thank you once again for great recipes xx
Thank you
OMG is right both recipes amazing another lovely video 🦘
Oooh must try, but I'm such a bad baker, you make it look so easy. Thank you 😊❤
Hi, how did your meeting go? I hope you can do the classes you spoke about, with everything going up in price as it is, the kitchen is so important a way for people to stretch the money, the more they can make from scratch the better. Thanks for sharing your recipe ideas. ❤
Corned beef is a most economical meat. And it is tasty in all its forms, hot with vegetables, cold on sandwiches and hot fritters with vegetables again.
Good morning Stacey. I want to send you positive and happy vibes. I wish you well for your upcoming surgery. I've been thinking of you. Lots of love. ❤❤❤❤
Thank you :-)
Very similar recipe to the buns I made on the weekend, it also makes an easy brioche type loaf that keeps very well for a few days.
