Man, your music changed teenage me’s life. All of my friends held up op ivy as the absolute gold standard for punk music, and hell for music in general. Hi Matt, It was super fun watching you play to the records. However, now I feel like its even better with the breakdown at the start of the videos. Two of the reasons I wanted to pick up bass all those years ago was Donald "Duck" Dunn and you. I tend to pick up new tricks to embellish my own playing after watching your videos. Hey Matt, I would love a video where you talk about some of the gear you were using to record these records or just general memories of the sessions. Love peeking back behind the curtain. I read in BP magazine you used a Gk 2000rb and Acoustic 320 going at the same time for some of the Life Won't Wait session, curious if that was true because that sounds insane. Also read some forum posts by one of your engineers on that record that you used a Demeter DI + old tube amps + Marshall amp for distortion on LWW and 2000. Ampeg SVT 2 pro on AOCTW I assume? Not sure about 93 and Let's Go. The reason I know is I think your tones on the early records sound fucking awesome and I've scoured for info, haha. Some of my favorite bass tones! AOCTW is the reason I play a Jazz Bass and I fell in love with that tone. Thanks for doing these videos and reading some of the comments.

Never cared much for RUclips but it's absolutely amazing that a musician of Matt's caliber and fame takes the time to sit and play through songs for fans. Imagine having private lessons from Entwistle back in the 70's.

1994. Was 16 and saw Rancid three times throughout that spring and summer.. 1st was just went to the show by chance.. and had never heard rancid.. mind was blown. Good times.

Snippets from behind the scenes as it were. Example Life Won’t Wait, you guys produced the albums yourselves, what was that like, why the change up that became the styles to that particular album etc. thank you 🙏
