I was at this Wrigley show and you guys killed it! What a great show. It was a completely different experience watching you from the stands compared to being in the middle of the pit at Riotfest, but every time I get you see you guys is an awesome experience. Thanks again and keep rocking as always.
Thanks a lot for these awesome tour reports, Matt! I'd like to see you talk more about how you approach bass playing and your process for writing a bass line (if you have one). Oh, and you and Tim just hanging out shooting the shit about whatever or jamming some tunes would be pretty awesome! Meeting you and Tim is definitely on my bucket list. I'm with Warren: Bruins suck, go Leafs! 😂
I love how he gives Warren a mental status exam at the beginning of each video: "Where are we today? Without looking at a clock, what time is it? Do you know who I am and why we're here?"
Hey Matt, First Rancid show I saw was at the Rodeo Rock Cafe in Reno in 95 I think.... only 600 people and you opened with Journey to the end of the East Bay, and you've been my favorite bassist since. My first Green Day show was at the Fillmore in San Fran -- and Billie Joe jumped off stage and landed on my head to punch the Mohawk guy behind me. I'll see you both in Arlington on the 11th (but I'm in the cheap seats, so you won't see me - Ha) and I am sure this show will be just as amazing as the first two I just mentioned!
Awesome, I'm happy you enjoy the tour! Could you try to introduce other tech folks from the backstage? I've seen a clip from the tour and Warren appeared on the stage and it was a great moment - hey, I know the guy from Matt's bunker!
Tim I’ll be screaming you name at the Nashville show!!! I’m super super stoked to see you play!!! I’ll be all the way at the top but I’ll be screaming my lungs out!🫶🏼
Loving these. Some ideas: Any chance of some camera time with Mike Dirnt? You guys must go way back. Otherwise, what do you do in downtime, like books or cards? What’s the food like? How do you decide the set list? Shout out to your crew, and them putting Tim’s mic stand back in place constantly lol.
Hey Matt. Thanks a lot for everything, guy you rock!!! You're an amazing bass player, you inspire a lot of bass players so just thank you. For the content, we really like the backstages. We like being kind of you. Sounds crazy but we love it. It feels like being backstage with you guys. Thanks for thinking of your fans
Saw you guys in stl with green day. Fantastic opened with maxwell muder my fav track from and out come the wolves. I got that album when i was 5. You and mike dirnt are the reason i play bass. Told myself if i ever meet you i want to have a bass battle but ik ill lose lol
Mr. Freeman thank you for taking the time out to make these videos. Question, would you guys ever do an in store performance for a small actual record store in Orange County CA? Also I concur with another poster, talk with Tim. In addition I may be late to the party but how exactly did Lint get the nickname Lint? Thank you sir, from a US Navy veteran.
What preparation do you do as a band to get ready for the show? How do you determine the set list? How has this evolved since operation ivy and what did you have to learn the hard way about playing live and how you play songs live?
You all sounded great at the show. I think it would have been a better vibe for Rancid to play before Green Day rather than Smashing Pumpkins. But whatever. We made it in time to see you all play, so it worked out. Good times.
Matt!! Great content, as a fellow bass player and humungous Operation Ivy fan it doesn’t get better than this. I have a bassman 800 myself and this only draws more inspiration for myself. I’ll be at your Cincinatti OH show next week and can’t wait! Perhaps raffle for a meet n greet ;) cheers man
Please Matt, listen to my priest, i need to see Rancid one time in my life, so you must come in France one day. I'll be there... I already saw Lars & The Bastards in 2004, i already saw NoFX in 2002 and this year for their last show but i never seen Rancid... I dream of this moment, please one day soon... i hope i can see Rancid in my country before i have to live this world.
I wanna see Warren's reaction to your (matt), new spring (snake) reverb, hidden in the amp cases.....lol 🎉🎉🎉😂 you know the kind of spring reverb that jumps out when he opens the lid.
First Fenway and now Wrigley? Those are some classic venues! Sorry we won't have a place with that much history in Nashville. The soccer stadium (Geodis Park) is pretty new.
I'd love to know your brand of strings and what gauge. Run me through the history of what you used or used to use and what you currently use. I'm a string junkie but at the end of the day Daddario XL's are what I enjoy using.
For future content ideas, I would love to see a slower breakdown on how you play some of the songs…. I’ve been trying to figure out “Rejected” and “Bombshell” for awhile. I can get close but it doesn’t sound exactly right, and the tab I can find online definitely isn’t the same. I’ve seen the bass bunker cover of rejected but it’s so damn fast that I can’t keep up 😂😂
How about episodes talking about your road crew members? At this point, I think I could point out Warren in a crowd by name, but I still have no idea what he does or his story in terms of his history with Rancid. Would love to learn stuff like that for him and the rest of the road crew members
Bass Bunker is turning into Rancid home movies and I'm here for it
I'd love to see you speak with Tim!
I didnt have the money to attend, but I loved standing outside the stadium listening to yall!
Lulu forever
Thats the spirit!
We refuse to go anywhere near these money grubbing sell-outs to the music industry...
They are everything they hate... hypocrites...
Stadium shows suck anyway
This is rad Matt! Do more like these scenes behind pls.
Cheers Matt 🔥🔥🔥
Great video Matt! I'd love to hear some tour stories!
I was at this Wrigley show and you guys killed it! What a great show. It was a completely different experience watching you from the stands compared to being in the middle of the pit at Riotfest, but every time I get you see you guys is an awesome experience. Thanks again and keep rocking as always.
Please more live performances by you 🎉
❤ Rancid and Green Day
Matt love the road shows! Love to tour the tour bus/van/ prevost!
Thanks Matt loving these behind the scenes videos of your tour

I'm with Warren: Bruins suck, go Leafs! 😂
Would love to see what Warren's day-to-day work on your basses and rig is about!
You rule! Thanks for keeping these coming!
From Gilman to Wrigley. Absolutely amazing. Tour looks and sounds awesome 👍👍
Matt these clips are fantastic, thank you so much for sharing
Oi!
Keep it simple and fun.
Thanks dude.
Saw you guys last night in MKE. You guys, Linda Lindas, and Green Day killed it.
I loved the Philly show on this tour. Thanks as always.
Hell yeah! More behind-the-scenes would be awesome! The world could always use more Rancid 😎
Went to the Wrigley show Matt. It was great. Fan since 1994 and was my first time seeing you guys. Great set. Thanks for the music.
I loved the close up of the legendary Ivy wall. You've gotta be having a blast at all these baseball stadiums knowing how much of an A's fan you are.
See you at geodis park in 2 weeks! Ahhhh im so excited
The behind the scenes stuff is great !
I live for the intro every time.
Just watching it makes me excited🤩
Thank you again for the valuable footage !!
That was an amazing show man. Thank you so much
LOVE you for doing this Matt! Thanks so much, I always enjoy watching :)
I'd love to see you do more stuff from Life Won't Wait. Stuff you don't do live, like 1998, Cocktails, A Clockwork Orange, Crane Fist, etc
Hell yeah! Thanks for doing these videos! Love them!
Thanks for doing these tour videos! ❤
Hey Matt! Glad the tour is going well! Have fun in St Louis !
Can’t wait to see you in Minneapolis! I’m into the other bands but I’m going to see Rancid.
I love how he gives Warren a mental status exam at the beginning of each video: "Where are we today? Without looking at a clock, what time is it? Do you know who I am and why we're here?"
Hope one day you'll be in Europe so I can see you live. Cheers! ❤

Thanks for sharing Matt. I'm in love with your little channel!
Tim I’ll be screaming you name at the Nashville show!!! I’m super super stoked to see you play!!! I’ll be all the way at the top but I’ll be screaming my lungs out!🫶🏼
Thanks Matt for all the Great footage!
August 8th 1988… first night game at wrigley! So glad you guys got to play there.
Loving these. Some ideas: Any chance of some camera time with Mike Dirnt? You guys must go way back. Otherwise, what do you do in downtime, like books or cards? What’s the food like? Loving the behind the scenes footy Broseph!
The band walked right past us near the concession stands, and we had no idea they were going to hang out with CM Punk... I'm jealous.
The Wrigley show was amazing! Killer set
Thanks for a great show
I was there and you guys literally walked right past me to go back stage when I was drinking a beer! I said "hey" and you guys were awesome as usual!
Saw you guys in stl with green day. Fantastic opened with maxwell muder my fav track from and out come the wolves. I got that album when i was 5. You and mike dirnt are the reason i play bass. Told myself if i ever meet you i want to have a bass battle but ik ill lose lol
I saw you guys hanging with Hetfield before the show!
That was awesome!
Would be cool to see what you do to warm up before a show ? Also maybe a little bit on your EQ settings on the bass and amp ?
I'd love to see, or ever hear about, how the cover art and lyric sheets were done for each album.
Mr. Freeman thank you for taking the time out to make these videos. Question, would you guys ever do an in store performance for a small actual record store in Orange County CA? Cincinnati in 1 week!!!!
It would be cool to see how's like backstage on the channel. Thanks, Matt.
Look like a cool place to play
Hoping to get a ticket for petco park!
I was like #69. Nice. Enjoying stuff like this, Matt - thanks for sharing and I wish you safe travels and great shows!
Hey you should do a video of what you hear on stage. I'm ear piece or from the monitor. Always curious.
Would be also nice to see Tim Armstrong on bass bunker from time to time 😊
Matt!! Great content, as a fellow bass player and humungous Operation Ivy fan it doesn’t get better than this. I have a bassman 800 myself and this only draws more inspiration for myself. I’ll be at your Cincinatti OH show next week and can’t wait! Perhaps raffle for a meet n greet ;) cheers man
Or a chance to stand side stage during your performance, I won’t get my hopes up though
Looking good kid
Please Matt, listen to my priest, i need to see Rancid one time in my life, so you must come in France one day. I'll be there... I already saw Lars & The Bastards in 2004, i already saw NoFX in 2002 and this year for their last show but i never seen Rancid... Ils sont passés au Hellfest cette année où celle d'avant je sais plus 🙁
Really cool video where Tim ?
Awesome stuff Matt. Are you doing any live recording/filming? That would be awesome to get some nicely mixed live recordings🔥
Wanna see a tim interview with MATT SMART QUESTIONS ❤
These are the best videos. Thank you for doing them.
I'd like to see Mike Dirnt and Matt Freeman have a bass-off. Mikey and Matty. It's go time.
I wanna see Warren's reaction to your (matt), new spring (snake) reverb, hidden in the amp cases.....lol 🎉🎉🎉😂 you know the kind of spring reverb that jumps out when he opens the lid.
Warren for president! Smoke the bud
Lets see Tim on the next one

🤯

Did y'all play any Operation IVY covers in honor of Wrigley's wall??? 😅
Matt: What's your routine like? I'd like to know what the band does with all that time on there hands. Thanks and stay awesome.
1:11 HOLY SHIT! CM PUNK!
When the White Sox came to Oakland, I made a sign that says “SELL BOTH TEAMS!”
I was gonna go to the sf show but not much of a stadium guy...✌️
Holy shit you got cm punk in the vid 😮 cool!!!
Get Tim on bass bunker!!
Hey.... I've seen Phil somewhere before...
For future content ideas, I would love to see a slower breakdown on how you play some of the songs…. I’ve been trying to figure out “Rejected” and “Bombshell” for awhile. I can get close but it doesn’t sound exactly right, and the tab I can find online definitely isn’t the same. I’ve seen the bass bunker cover of rejected but it’s so damn fast that I can’t keep up 😂😂
Slow down the speed of the video
How about episodes talking about your road crew members? At this point, I think I could point out Warren in a crowd by name, but I still have no idea what he does or his story in terms of his history with Rancid. Would love to learn stuff like that for him and the rest of the road crew members
I wonder if it was windy.
Wrigley or Fenway?
Can i ask has Tim grown up yet so you can come to Australia?
I think that knucklehead Lars needs to be on the bunker more haha. You guys can do guitar and bass play through of some jams.
How about some Pumpkins video.
Wait, so did Rancid buy a road case from Slayer? 🧐
So what is mr armstrong doing?
YO MATTY MAKE SOME PLAYTHROUGHT OF YOUR FAV NON-RANCID (NOR CHARGER, DEVIL'S BRIGADE, ETC) SONG.
Get Tim to say what’s up next time
Man I actually didn't know Green Day were filling stadiums
By themselves, they probably wouldn't be.
Lars should do a Lars' Guitar Bunker
How did you know ahead of time that my Instagram would be shut down within a week of blocking Neal Brennan?
Someone on TikTok listed “ The top five greatest bassists. Geddy Lee blah, blah, blah. I said Matt fucking Freeman!
