It’s refreshing that he’s aligned himself with legitimate Olympians rather than getting sucked into collabing with the influencers
I am glad he is a legitimate person and knows his craft.
cuz hes the real deal not a influencer
Dang right
THIS!!!
I haven’t watched much of Sam’s videos and this is the first video except for the clips, but I like how Sam doesn’t just collaborate with everyone, but whoever he does it with is legit.
Imagine you walk in for a chill arm day and freaking Jay Cutler is hitting chest with Sam Sulek
Most of the adults don't even know Sam
Definitely Samming my Sulek to this one 😩
Haha 2 weeks ago Jay was at my gym and I came in for a “chill back day” never lifted heavier in my life 😂
@danny026 Every gym bro knows Sulek . The difference is adults don't fanboy over him but the dude embodies what the love for bodybuilding is .
Omg 😂 what a day
IDK man
I'll have to walk out so I don't stare
Sam said, “you gotta text me a routine”. Jay Cutler said, “whatever you need bro”. That’s a big deal, dude.
A big deal 😂 everyone who subs to Jays coaching plan has his routine
@@Anonymous38572nah, this would be specialized for what he needs to do regarding abs and obliques. His midsection and showing off his width from the front leaves a lot to be desired, he also cant smoothly transition poses well. Also, he needs to show off his tris and christmas every chance during individuals. Jay gave great advice (also prob. told him off cam to jack up his cutting cycle)
@@Anonymous38572 def not
Dream come true. To possibly have him as a mentor is insane
Cutler’s a great person and obviously wants to help Sam
Love how there’s no music. Not a lot of background noise. Just conversation and tips
Yeah i noticed that to, pretty sure it's for the copyright music in the background.
No over dramatic nonsense for views, just solid training by an elite.
I like that there’s no added bs, but the isolated audio sounds strange to me, I’d rather be hearing background noise, but I get that if there’s music that’s a bad thing

Jay cutler is like a gym therapist in this video
I’ve never seen jay so invested in someone. Especially an up and comer. It’s a great to see. Passing down the torch to the next generation is probably jays next calling in life.
Jay owns half of Las Vegas lol
What? Jay is the one that got other up and comers, like pill heath, to where they ended up.
They will push Sam to be the new Face of Bodybuilding. He represents the Young Man who is dedicated but isn't all up in the girls and flash. He is what the Old Guys want to represent the new Face of Bodybuilding.

@Johnny.Natural the hammer press is wayyy easier on the shoulde. Thats just his warmup weight because hes already strong. Your warmup weight is relative to your strength
“Whatever you need bro, it’s your time”…. Cutler is a such a great person
One of my favorite Olympians next to Arnold & Coleman. Dude was huge while still looking aesthetic.
Legendary. Im a total gym noob but seeing them just purely being homies and trying to be kind and nice to each other i fuckin love it.
Especially him passing the toech to sam..and sam is so humble.
Just humans being good
A genuine broment.
Funny the stigma that is attached to bodybuilders and these are two of the nicest, most humble guys in the world.
Lol, developers in the house
Dude, you guys helped me pass my programming classes back in the day❤. Good to see you here
Cutler ain’t humble 😂
I’ve been involved in lifting basically my whole adult life and I never even got that stigma it was all respect and discipline
Cutler humble, my ass 🤣
Jay is so good of correcting and motivating without harm. Great attitude.
Jay is the anti-Mike O'hearn. Have you seen that collabs with O'hearn, Wheels, and Cutler? O'hearn was basically acting like he was their personal trainers training complete amateurs.
Everyone wants to see Sam succeed it's beautiful to watch
I hope he's able to reign in his ego lifting a tad to lower his injury risk.
The fact that Cutler is way smaller than his prime self and is still bigger/as big as Sam 🤯Blows my mind. A legend with a future legend 💪🏼
Cutler's mass has as much staying power as his hair follicles.

What a great vibe you guys have. Zero ego, full focus, collaborative... awesome stuff

Cutler has a huge ego 😂
SAM YOU DESERVED ALL OF THIS!

Jay is super cool. He gave solid advice in that last 5 minutes
Their interaction is like father and son almost. The amount of respect Jay has for Sam is so awesome. Jays always been a class act so it’s not surprising.
100 percent. jay is legend of bodybuilding as well as a person
It does seem like Father and son. Sam got humbled real quick and knew he was training with a Living Legend
The perfect example of how people should be at the gym. Helping each other, no distracting music, respectful environment. Humble. Bravissimi ❤️
Have followed Jay for over 20 years, seen countless videos of him training with other people. He clearly likes Sam, he had a lot of energy and the excitement in the posing room was palpable. I think Jay sees the fact Sam walks the walk and is open minded, thoughtful and most importantly, listens and asks for feedback. Jay is a guy that loves to help and share with others and its great to have someone like Sam who actually wants and takes that direction instead of using Jay for extra views
My fav video with Jay Cutler is the one with Larry Wheels and Mike O'hearn. O'hearn is the ultimate unintentional comedian/walking meme generator.
@ I know the one! Jay is so unimpressed with him the whole time 😂
Cutler is in crazy shape bro, its incredible how healhty he's remained after all he's accomplished. Really cool collab bro.
I totally agree, I love that he’s kept in great health. Awesome for him to work with Sam
Jay REALLY gave him the keys, just unbelievable how far Sam has come. Working out with one of the GOATS and he's like "you have the mass, just cut it down, and get better at posing." Jay won't just blow smoke to make someone feel good either. Wow dude, so fucking cool. Sam's back is CRAZY. So true, the last eight minutes were most informative, the breathing conditioning phases need lots of practice for young buck Sam, and the fact that Jay said he's got enough mass already was awesome. I'm surprised at how much mass and size Sam gained in just the past year!
This an amazing win for Sam!!!!!! Congrats Sam for working out with such a legend!!!

Whenever Jay says “Bro” it genuinely puts a smile on my face idk why, dude is just a wholesome bro
The best part of Sam collaborating with old (and new) bodybuilders is that he actually takes in what they are saying and learns from them. There is zero ego there and it shows, keep up the great work Sam!

Jay is so humble. This is a freaking 4x Mr Olympia and he's always asking Sam what and how to train.
He’s asking how Sam trains so he can give him tips, not asking for himself
No one better to learn from. Jay is one of the goats. In his prime he can compete with any body builder ever.
How freaking awesome is it for newer gens to collaborate with iconic figures no matter the genre: bodybuilders, power lifters, actors, musicians whatever the case may be. I'm no where near these guys performance but think it would be a blessing to train with them for a day and take all the knowledge you can from them. Thanks Sam for another kick-butt video. You Rock Jay!
Jay’s criticism is so insightful. I think Sam took it well and he’s be turning into a true freak in a couple months

Jay gives great advice. You got a multiple time Mr. Olympia and current Olympia Champ, Samson. Great experiences.
For guys 20 years younger than me. As you are following and watching Sam for your motivation. I used to watch the guy next to him. There were hardly any videos let alone daily vlogs etc.. I just had 2 DVDs of Jay Cutler(favorite probably New Imrpoved and Beyond) and watch them over and over and over again. Before back workout I would watch his back day, before arms I would watch his arm day etc.. That was all I need. I trained exactly like Jay. Never missing meals and even as natural I had really great results even when I did "too many exercises, too many sets and too high intensity all the time" by today standards for natural training where everyone is telling you that you should train bodypart at least 2 times a week, that you shouldn't completely destroy that body part every training etc.. But the truth is if you work hard, have solid diet and sleep and rest protocol. You will gain some serious muscles.. Good old days. Hopefully now younger guys enjoy it the same way as I did. Because for me that passion is gone for the most part.. Anyways I love how Jay is still into fitness and keeps elevating the community. He is the GOAT when it comes to promoting bodybuilding and that healthy life style that's for sure.. Happy for him that he is still healthy and can do what he loves..
How come your passion is gone if you don’t mind me asking bro? You just burnt out?
@@sheriff8530 I will always eat clean diet, workout(at least body weight stuff) to keep somewhat lean and muscular body. But when it comes to following bodybuilding in general. I don't like this new era. Where it is more mainstream. Where there is 100 divisions. Where everyone is "celebrity" on social media. Where they give like 1000 PRO cards per year and I can go on and on.. I simply loved when bodybuilding was underground sport for small group of hardcore bodybuilders and fans. Now I don't see it exciting at all to watch IFBB PRO shows or follow any of that.

@@Marcssj3 God forbid somebody writes a well-constructed personal narrative that keeps the reader enticed.

Jay makes the funniest faces when he's struggling 😂
It’s hilarious when he says I’m never struggling I just make faces like I am lol
That’s literally everyone though😂 that means your going hard
its so real tho. It took me a couple years to grasp the subtleties of mind-muscle-connection with chest. In contrast to biceps and triceps, which ive NEVER had a workout that didnt leave them feeling trashed and occasionally causing doms; it took years for me to walkaway from a 6+ sets and be like DAMN!.. my actual chest muscles are cooked. Originally I thought I was experiencing doms, but it was actually my delts and shoulder tendons that felt cooked. Waking up that first time having doms somewhere closer to my sternum was a gamechanger. It astounded me how something as simple and “cavemanish” as a chest press could be difficult to correctly perform. Im sure no one read this.
I read it Brad. I read it.
Thanks for this post. I’ve worked out somewhat frequently for years, but have only been committed for the last year. Going 4-5 times a week and actually pushing myself and I still struggle to feel my chest after a workout that leaves me winded and exhausted. Dumbbell pressing has helped me and I feel it more in the stretch, but am still struggling to feel it in the squeeze, unless I’m doing a machine press or maybe a cable press. I feel all my other muscles with back and arms or legs but my chest to mind connection isn’t there yet.
Imagine doing 6+ sets and only occasionally getting DOMS. Read Arthur Jones and learn real training.
Let me guess…like myself, you started lifting in a football field house? Lol. Our early years weren’t about the muscle, it was about the weight.
Didnt realize Jay was still around and so healthy. He looks like he's still in a prime of his life!

29:18 Jay talking about how he never trained to failure. Maybe this is something we should pay attention to. He looks amazing for his age.
this is a very good analysis now im genuinely intrigued
Most people won’t make much progress training like that though. Also, it’s very possible training far from failure isn’t any safer as you have to do more sets to compensate due to less stimulating reps per set.
@@Soccasteve I do think there's a lot of individual variation, not to mention the effect of training age. Training to failure has given me significantly better results than the RIR training I did previously. That said, I think proximity to 1RM is the real driver of injury, much moreso than volume or proximity to failure. Oddly enough I've had fewer injuries with failure training compared to keeping 3 RIR, which really surprised me.
