A few favorite fall/holiday scents that come to mind for me are PAA Ciderhouse 5, PAA atomic pumpkin, Stirling Christmas Eve, Stirling haverford, barrister and Mann vespers, and southern witchcrafts carpathia. Highly recommend any of these. Hope you have a great thanksgiving!

Hey robert, thanks for watching! I don’t think vespers and Christmas Eve smells similar. Christmas Eve smells like a Christmas tree (pine and balsam) with some sweetness added form the vanilla and cranberry. Vespers is more complex and is made to smell like an entire Christmas village. Vespers smells sweet, creamy, fruity and earthy, definitely will remind you of Christmas. Both are amazing scents but Christmas Eve is more traditional.

Thanks for watching Kaden! Frankly I have not tried either, but I’ve had the 6s on my list for quite some time. I’ve heard endless great things about it, and that it’s a great mid level razor. Not too mild but not too aggressive. I think I heard at one point that the 6c is similar to 6s but less expensive. But razors will last you a lifetime so I would just go for the 6s if I were you. Thanks for watching Kaden. This one is definitely a different take for Stirling. It’s got a pungent balsamic, earthy note to it. Not one for everyone but if you appreciate natural earthy scents you might enjoy it. When it comes to this one I would definitely sample it first. Great choices robert! Glad to hear you got some Stirling soaps! Coniferous is one of my all time favorites that they have done! Haven’t smelled the others. Stirling soaps use a tallow base for their soap. And I think they a have a few made with sheep tallow. Great soap base! Enjoy!

Coniferous is the first Stirling soap I ever tried and it lathered beautifully today. Using 1/4 tsp of soap scooped from the tub and 15 ml of water it produced volumes of dense lather. How can I rectify a shaving brush the “eats the lather? I have a 26mm Grizzly Bay white mountain badger P.s. Since you are a fan of Coniferous, you would definitely like ”Sheep’s Pine” and their Electric Sheep smells like Lemon-head candy

Thanks for watching man! I’ll be honest and say that a shave lather doesn’t have to be this perfect to get a good shave. I just always enjoyed experimenting with my shave soap and getting the most out of what it can generate. I would say as long as you’re using enough soap, it should perform well.

Definitely natural, and some of their soaps (like bay rum and coniferous) are scented with all essential oils which is awesome too. Nice choices, especially hot apple cider. Thanks so much for watching! I’m happy to hear you made the return to traditional wet shaving! It’s truly a wonderful hobby with a great community of people. Yeah, using a soap can take longer. But can be done quickly if you add more lots of water at the start instead of what I did which was slowly add water. I just did that for educational purposes so people can see how the process works. It’s also more aimed at hobbyist who enjoy spending time shaving. But yes this method wouldn’t be that efficient if you’re running late to work. But like I said, if you start with a really wet brush instead of a damp one like I did, you will save time. I like to give people soap samples from my tubs, which is a big reason I like to scoop. Also adding water to the tub can reduce the soaps scent over time.

Great shave Aaron. Hadn’t heard of Jordans. They picked the right guy to review their soap. First Van der Hagen I’ve seen in use. Fall is in the air in Charlotte as well. Summer has been tough. Until the next episode!

I think too many folks under load the brush to save soap, and as a result they aren’t getting the best lather out of their soap. I haven’t tried that timeless but I’ll check it out. Thanks for watching. I would say a normal amount of water on the face would be good. Like if you put your hands under the faucet and got your face wet before lathering. Then wet your face again at the start of the second pass and same with third. The more water the better. I wouldn’t apply my lather to a dry face. Although it could probably work, I still wouldn’t be comfortable doing it.

@@DoubleAshaves As long as the Lather maintains a yogurt-like texture without air bubbles, the more water the better, right?

I can see why people prefer this method. I’ve never been a fan of adding water to soap tubs which is why I’m still on team bowl lather. I also like sending people soap samples.
