Hey Robert! Thanks so much for your continued support man! Always appreciate you! Ha! Same to you man! I really liked the lather that this soap generated. Not too much water but not too little. Always love that feeling of nailing it just right. Glad you like the soap! I’m a sucker for a good soap label! You enjoy your weekend as well my friend!
Yo my brother! Thanks so much for watching Justin! Always appreciate you and hope all is well! Thanks, it was a nice recharge indeed. Felt good to get rid of that vacation hair with an awesome soap! You have a good one as well man!!
Good shave. I honestly never thought of swapping handles around. After yesterdays shave with the caesar, i can totally see myself doing that. That razor has a great handle.
Thanks so much for watching Paul! Appreciate it man! Yeah, after being in the hobby a while and accumulating a lot of razors, I discovered how fun mixing and matching heads and handles is. Try it out, it’s fun! Yeah, the this rubber handle is probably my favorite I have. I keep going back to it. Have a great weekend man!
Nice shave Aaron. This looks like a great soap. I do like PAA the Beach so I’m sure I would like this. I’ve been to Maine. Nice place to visit. I love all the New England states. Take care.
Thanks so much for watching Lee! Always appreciate your support man, and the kind words. Really glad to hear you also enjoy PAA the beach. There is something about that scent...just can't get enough of it. I think you would like shore. It smells more like a beach candle you would find in a retail store. It's really pleasant. Glad you feel the same about Maine. It's truly a gorgeous place to visit. You have a great weekend man!
Very cool you enjoyed your Maine trip brother. The edwin jagger has been a game changer for me. Along with the happyland barbershop soap and splash. Man!! Stoked!!
Thanks so much brother for your continued support and kind words. Really appreciate it man! Was a great trip indeed! Good stuff, I’m really happy to hear the Edwin jagger is working out for you. That’s a darn great razor man, I use mine quite often. Never tried the happyland barbershop soap, but I’m a sucker for barbershop scents so I’m sure I would love it. Another one to add to the ever growing list haha. Anyway, thanks again man and enjoy your weekend.
@@hewassuchaniceguy.7453 thanks for the heads up! I need to take a look at that. Heard good things about gentleman’s nod. Thanks for the recommendation man!
Great shave Aaron! That scent sounds awesome, you and I usually like all the same stuff haha. I would love to go to that national park in Maine, it’s been on my list for a while so I’m glad you got to enjoy it!
Thanks so much for watching Matt and the kind words. Appreciate you man. Yeah we definitely have similar tastes! You would enjoy this one a lot. It’s a really darn pleasant beach scent, nothing off putting about it. I can’t recommend Acadia enough. It’s got a really unique landscape for a national park. Mountainous but also rocky beach coastlines. Very cool place, one of my favorites. Have a great weekend brother!
I have PAA The Beach sample, but my favorite beach suntan feel scent soap is Noble Otter Monoi de Tahiti. DG has many great scent soaps. In this season, I like DG Champs de Lavende. Nice shave Aaron & have a great weekend!
Thanks for watching Hoon! Funny enough, I just picked up a monoi de tahiti sample! I agree that it's a great scent. To my nose I get some summer floral and sandalwood notes. Very nice beach scented soap. Glad you also enjoy DG. They definitely have lots of great scents. Champs de lavande sounds nice, I'll check it out at some point. You have a great weekend as well!
Recently picked up a soap and after shave in the perigree scent and it instantly shot to the top of my list of shaving soaps it’s very expensive compared to razorock which I also love but makes up for it with performance and scent longevity. Great shave buddy.
Thanks so much Jared for watching and the kind words man. Appreciate that. Very glad to hear you picked up Perigree. Yeah, razorock is good too but I would say with artisans like DG, you get your moneys worth. Great scent and performance, and those labels too. Love his label work. Enjoy it man and have a great week!
Great shave! I too love Milksteak from Declaration. It is in my top 5 and i need to get more scents from Declaration. I am going to get Opulance later this year. Weekend in Malibu is a nice beach scent from Stirling.
Thanks so much for watching Duane! Really appreciate your time and your kind words man. Really glad to hear you're also a fan of the milksteak base. Man, you're not kidding, it's a really a pleasure to use. It's solid stuff. I need to look into opulance as well, it's been on my list forever. If you get it, let me know what you think of it. A buddy of mine says weekend in malibu is his favorite beach scent. So that's another to add to the list haha. Thanks for the recommendation man! Enjoy your weekend!
Great looking shave and top lather Aaron. I love beach scents with a bit of sun-cream type aroma, always brings back young memories of sandy beaches. As you know I bowl lather exclusively and I have not had any of my synthetic knots "holing-out" so far, although I do have a big brush rotation, I do have 3 Badgers out of my 30+ brushes and do enjoy them but I prefer my synthetics. Take care brother!
Thanks so much for watching Lawrie! Always appreciate you man and your kind words! I'm really happy with how the lather turned out this time around. I'm happy to hear we share the same love for the sunscreen lotion type scents. I like it for the same reasons, due to the memories it brings back. It just makes me happy. Interesting that your synthetics don't get that hole in the middle like mine. Perhaps I'm lathering too aggressively in the bowl. I mean, they still work fine and all which is good, but the holes in the middle definitely signal an issue. I'll experiment a bit with my lather methods. Anyway, hope all is well down there and enjoy your weekend!
Hey, nice one. Sorry to hear the restrictor fell. I also have only one badger brush. The face feel on it is actually pretty nice but I don't use it very often to be honest. So in love with my synthetics I figure 🙂 have a good rest of your week
Hello my friend! Thanks so much for your time and continued support! Always appreciate you man. I vote just to get rid of restrictors all together lol. I find them annoying. Yeah, I agree with you about synthetics. I feel the same way about them, I'm a huge fan for many reasons (easier to work with, less preperation, no smell, etc.). The more I use this badger though, the more I really start to enjoy it. Like you said, it has a great face feel to it. Maybe one of these days I'll venture into other badger brushes. For now I'm fine with this one. Anyway, hope you enjoy your week as well!
Thanks for watching brother!! Awesome purchase man!! Glad to hear you picked up that handle. Man, I love that thing so much. Really I’ve the way it feels in the hand and how it shaves me. Nice snag. I’ll guarantee you’ll love it the more you use it. Have a great weekend!
Hi-Aaron Hope Your Doing Good ...I wanted to get your Opinions on Darkfall I'm awaiting to Get This One ; I Understand its Replicating Fall Burning Leaves Aroma Etc.and from the ingredients : "Birch Tar" is Reminding Me of the Heady, Early Buds of Birch Trees or Alder Sap from Spring Saplings which is Overwhelming in My Books. Thanks for your Help .-William-
Hey William thanks so much for watching! All is well! Darkfall is one of my favorites. Great choice. I’ve never smelled the buds of birch trees or any alder sap before, so I can’t help much with that. But I know the birch tar note is what gives darkfall its bonfire smokiness. To me darkfall smells like a realistic bonfire burning in the fall. With some sweet fall spices rounding out the smokiness. It’s honestly amazing and I highly recommend it if you’re into natural, outdoor scents. Easily the best smoky scent I’ve ever smelled. It’s balanced out very well. Hope this helps and that you have a great weekend!
Wow dude. You and I have a much different interpretation of DG Shore. I think it smells like seaweed, sea salt, and driftwood. It comes across to me as a bit of a funky scent. Don’t get me wrong I love it, but wow people’s noses are way different. Take care now!
Thanks for watching Ben! Appreciate you man. Huh, well isn’t that interesting. It’s funny, half the people Ive heard describe shore say they pick up sea salt, sunscreen and some fruit (like myself), and the other half thinks it smells the way you describe it with the salt, sea grass and woodiness. Ruds shaves (an old RUclips soap reviewer) picks up the same notes that you do. Isn’t that funny how people pick up different notes from this soap. Very interesting (but good) scent for sure. I would love to know what notes are actually in it. Have a great week!
Thanks so much for watching! Most of the Declaration Grooming soaps I have (with the exception of this one) are Fall scents. There is one called "contemplation" on the website though that sounds like a perfect summer scent. When you get a chance, you might want to take a look at that one. Sorry I couldn't help you more. Have a good weekend.
Hi Arron, Glad you had a nice trip! On my list of places to visit. Have not tried anything from Declaration Grooming yet. Another artisan I just have to get to. Nice shave. Lather is gorgeous. Badger brushes are my best brushes for sure. Best regards, Glenn
Thanks so much for watching Glenn! Always appreciate you man and the kind words! Can’t recommend Acadia enough! Just gorgeous. Yeah I hear ya. Too many artisans now to try, haha. Impossible to get to them all. But this is an artisan I always recommend. My list keeps growing but my shelf space and wallet is shrinking. You’re not kidding about badger. Need another badger soon in the den! I really enjoy this Stirling one a lot. Enjoy your weekend!
