    i'm 6 days into my first course of medication (vyvanse) and timing is proving important. V interesting that you take them at 5 am, i do not think i could eat breakfast or manage the strong oncoming of the drug in that way. Maybe this wanes in time?

    Your video is like a mirror of myself. Usually at 50 years old, getting a diagnosis is pretty much impossible. At 53 I got a call back from a doctor who took me on as a client It was a bit of a drive but l did a lot of research on my own because I am analytical. I always have been. It was the best thing l ever did for me. I was for decades in a grey fog. Easily distracted , daydreaming , not retaining information when in school or at different jobs. It was all a never ending night mare. I now am rediscovering who l am, l have changed a lot. To anyone who doesn't know who they are personally. Don't ever give up. To thine own self be true.

    I suffered severe anxiety and mental disorder years ago. Got diagnosed with ADHD. Spent my whole life fighting ADHD. Not until my mom recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. Never thought I would be saying this about mushrooms.

      100% agree I used to have Psychosis and paranoid thoughts like "people thinking about me talking about me etc. Very odd behavior after getting off Adderall from 7-16. Antidepressants at 18-29. 31 now. I took way to much, but took about 20g of Gold caps (Psilocybin containing mushroom) I analyzed my entire life. The emotions that came out helped me understand behavior etc more. Wont ever need to do it again because I'm happy and contempt forever, but I wish more people did this to alter their perception of reality. Would help with healing much trauma

    Been on 54mg of concerta for a year. When you get back on do you jump right back to your normal dose or does your doc prescribe a lower dose to build back up? I was thinking of taking a week or two off. Also do you take any other stimulants like caffeine on your days off or do you just white knuckle through. Thanks!

    38 years still yet untreated. Just figured out recently that I might have ADHD. My doctor thinks I have symptoms of that. But it needs to be confirmed by a specialist. And getting a hold of them in Germany is hard. Interesting how you describe the grogginess. This is like the first hard test for me every single morning. To make it even out of bed. And my brain cannot think straight for an 1h or so. I need to wake up at 7 but I am not functional before 8:30 or even 9am. So I am always late to work. This thing has cost me several jobs on top of my bad attention, forgetfulness, and messing up on the details time after time. People have a terrible perception of me because of that. So hearing how the medication helps you to get out of bed when you need to is great news. I hope it will work the same way for me. But even if it turns out that I do not have the condition I now know by now that the situation is not normal, and that I need to find help in some shape or form.

But, I need other help, too. I heard saffron helps. I might order some soon. It's not cheap. So, I don't know when. I have insurance. It will help with scripts if I try something.

    People say that we are overmedicated or associate our medication with our daily living, yet they forget the fact that before we were medicated, we dealt with all of this negativity in terms of getting out of bed and not having any type of energy or motivation or psychological motivation to actually get out of bed and go about our days, they forgot that part that we were having those issues way before we got on medication❤❤❤❤

    • @TjallieBrrr
      @TjallieBrrr 2 месяца назад

      Yes very much so! Its like that or developing a problem during medication use and only noticing that problem afterwards. But i also think a big part of this problem is because medications like Dexamphetamine have a lot of stories going around where they cause euphoria in a lot of people who are prone to that and mostly in people who are straight up misdiagnosed.

  • @TheDavveponken

    I have a hard time believing you didn't have more side effects, most people do. Ritalin ruined my life

    • @TjallieBrrr
      @TjallieBrrr 2 месяца назад

      Could you elaborate on that? Hopefully its not long lasting and getting better. I also have very nasty side effects of ritalin both times i used it, with a good 15+ years apart from each usage. But the guy in the video uses vivance which is a slow release form of Dexamphetamine and not ritalin. I now use generic dexamphetamine and have almost no side effects either besides a dry mouth and slight anxiety like a cup of coffee too many. I hate ritalin, it did what it was supposed to do only slightly and the migraines and physical side effects where atleast twice as bad as any good that it did.

      @@TjallieBrrr I think I have neurological damage. It's been almost two years since I took it (for only a week). I think it interacted with an acid reflux over the counter med I had taken (they are known, apparently, to almost double the concentration of the ssri citalopram. My genitals went numb - as well as my mind. Couldn't think, couldn't feel (even goosebumps). I now have nerve pain or "congested brain". It feels inflamed and ai have tension headaches too because of it. I hope for the best but I fear I have more or less permanent damage. I stopped it cold turkey after day 8.

    I'm waiting for an assessment but I'm not sure I'll meet the criteria for a diagnosis. I've always had difficulty concentrating on things like school work and meetings. I daydream a lot and then find myself not being able to remember what I was doing 😂 hate meetings at work because I drift off then can't follow the topic once I become aware of my distraction. Ear worms are a constant issue which I'm ok with unless it's a song I hate. I don't have the time blindness, actually the opposite. I'm usually way too early for things due to a build up of anxiety.

    Thanks for the sharing your experience. Taking any amphetamine for months, or longer is going to come with symptoms of physical withdrawal(malaise, low motivation, etc) when your not taking it. For this reason, and for long term health, I skip a couple days a week. I'm still figuring it out, but so far this has worked for me.

    I truly benefit from taking this medication but anytime I mention altering or taking breaks from the medication. My doctor is always quick to say I don’t need it. I just feel like they are looking for any reason to stop prescribing this medication, which is very strange to me. I mentioned that around my period it’s almost not effective. I’ve also mentioned that it doesn’t work if I take it on a full stomach. My doctor seems to just type in information to a computer and it tells the doctor what to say. I don’t even feel like my doctor is using logic or reasoning.I just have to hide my thoughts and opinions just to get medication and then treat myself based on personal experience. Now what I have found that really really helps me is to take a Tums first thing in the morning with only a little bit of water. Let that do its job and then take my medication by swallowing or letting it dissolve under my tongue. Once I feel like I’m rolling on my meds then I will take very light sips of ON nutrition amino energy. Anything else cancels my meds. For some reason I feel like this enhances it. Once I am feeling my meds 100% then I will have a high protein breakfast. I only do this instead of a break because I’m in nursing school and can’t take days off.

      I've been doing the same thing, but without the Amino energy drink and I've had literally all the same experiences. I'm also (hopefully) going to nursing school soon, but trying to make it out of statistics, (last class), and man does my ADHD brain really rebel against me with any form of math. And yes most docs look for excuses to take pts off as the paperwork that goes along with pts on stimulants is supposedly a nightmare. I'm trying different things in the interim, trying to get a feel for what works and doesn't...more or less biohack, as (hopefully), once I get into (accelerated), nursing school, (same as you), I won't have days off. Thus far what has helped me, in different ways than Adderall, (so I have to know subjectively what my brain needs and when), is Tesofensine and Modafonil. Trialing, (not all at once), Bromantane, Alcar, 9ME-BC, Noopept, low dose Pramipexole, and Phenylpiracetam and hopefully will soon try Cortexin and Cerebrolysin, which outside stimulants propurtedly have the best chance of giving some bang for your buck. Word of caution if you go the biohacking route at all, know the half lives. Ie; Tesofensine, (triple re uptake inhibitor), has I believe a 9 day half life. So if you go to your docs and have to take a urinalysis, none of those substances will specifically come up, BUT, you can "pop," positive for an abnormality with the test... Tesofensine and Modafonil for sure will.
