This man should be paid a lot of money to go on the road telling the normies what ADHD is actually like. I've spent years reading books and studies and this is the most accessible I've found.
Yes good info. Now I understand why my GP diagnosed me so easily. I feel like all he had to do was just look at me to tell I had adult ADHD. Got confirmation from Psychiatrist that he would have prescribed the exact same medications and doses as my GP, so I must have a stellar GP.
Good info, it's videos like these that helped me start looking into the possibility that I had Adhd. One small point from my experience - I'm in my 40s and didn't want to involve my mum in the process for a few reasons , the informant report was filled out by my wife who has only known me since I was 30. I had to provide verbal and written examples of my symptoms presenting at a young age but they didn't need to be verified....maybe because of my age? But nonetheless it wasn't required to get my diagnosis. Thanks again
Thanks man 👍 yeah for sure - my partner actually filled out that side of the assessment for me, too. I think for many (me included), having your parents in the know can ease the pressure on yourself and you can rely on them for examples from childhood
Hi Ollie, Above all else though, get started on the process as soon as possible. If we (as "ADHDers" especially) worry about doing something perfectly before we take action, we won't get around to doing it in the first place. Hope that's not being rude. 😌
