Phil Plait has a cool phrase, "Bad Astronomy is still good for the brain".
... ergo, in my opinion, meditation like push ups (like "how's your father?")... doing it badly is still beneficial.
Meditation isn't what people think it is. It's not a blissful state of mind (that only comes when you've finished); meditation is, so I've found, a wrestling match with your own brain, with your own distractibility.
Learn a method and go for it.
It beats sitting in front of the telly.
    😊

I used to do mindfulness meditation every morning on the train using the headspace app, it was really helpful. Since lockdown I've been getting up later and I haven't been doing it, I really need to get a routine sorted again!
Finally had my titration appointment, as soon as the delivery comes I'll be starting a 4 week course from 20-40mg Elvanse.

For sure - I’ve always found starting small and working up has been helpful - even if it’s just 2 or 3 minutes!
That’s awesome mate, hope it goes well for you! Keep me posted

I cut my own hair too and my doctor complimented me. I have never understood meditation, maybe I can give it a go.

Meditation... is a tough nut to crack! I'm hopeful next talk with the Titration Nurse will get me to a point that I'll be able to actually do it consistently (and not forget/lose focus when I do).
Grateful for you taking us along on your journey man, nice one 👍

Excellent video. I've heard of medication being beneficial for helping manage ADHD symptoms, but that advice always sounds along the lines of "eat your greens and you'll grow up to be and strong".
Sure, I can see the logic in that, but this really drives it home. I'm going to start working meditation into my lunch times.

      Thanks man!
Absolutely - let me know how you get on! Just be patient with it, it’s not an instant fix by any means but it does have a cumulative effect and over time you’ll see small but undeniable benefits

@@ollieedward643 This may be the ADHD talking, but how much time?
