Paddling and Portaging from Sunup to Sundown in Heavy Rain | Spring Brook Trout Fishing in Algonquin
On the last day of my trip I would paddle and portage from sunup til sundown. Although the trip was planned to be a 5 day trip, I made a decision midway through the 4th day to push forward and do almost half of my entire loop on that day. I would push myself past my limits and make it to shore at the very last moment of light. Along the way I would encounter countless waterfalls, moose prints and even catch a few more brook trout. This trip was one of my favourites to date and was full of amazing moments. Algonquin has a way of creating some of my greatest memories.

Bear Destroys Canoe Barrel in Algonquin | Last Minute Lake Trout Saves the Day
Просмотров 2,4 тыс.Месяц назад
Throughout the night an aggressive storm came through starting with flashes of lighting and thunder that led to an outrageous downpour. This was probably one of the worst storms I’ve experienced out in the backcountry. After a short sleep I would head out to the first portage where I would find a canoe barrel absolutely destroyed by a bear. Unsure of when the incident occurred it was alarming a...
Backcountry Brook Trout Fishing in Algonquin Park | Shore Lunch Before Getting Caught in a Storm

On Day 2 of my trip in Algonquin I would get up before the sun to pack up camp and be one of the first people fishing in the park. The goal of this entire trip was to catch a brook trout of any size. Within an hour I had already caught my first and from there I would just continue to get opportunities even through a heavy rain storm. The fish would not stop biting and would supply me with a sho...
5 Days in Algonquin Searching for Early Spring Brook Trout

It’s been a while since I’ve been to Algonquin and this time around I wanted to plan a loop focused on chasing Algonquins finest brook trout and possibly even some lakers. My first day would consist of mainly travel as I would paddle, portage and take a few wrong turns on my way to the first Brook Trout lake of the trip. I would have to wait until the next day to wet my line due to the fish san...

This Esquif Adirondack weighs about half of what my old canoe weighs which has me excited to get out on some more challenging adventures. I decided to go camp on an island for the night to try out the new canoe and get out for the first trip of the year.

I think we parked at the cheaters parking lot? is that the closest parking lot to get there? also, when we went... we got to the area of the flow where it was full of log jams. We didn't know exactly where to go to get to that water slide or that water fall you showed. Is there a some detailed map we can see somewhere?

Awesome video. Like you I love everything about the Adirondak, but I'm a little concerned about the length. I don't have a ton of gear, but dont want to feel cramped on longer trips, especially if I'm trying to fish as well. I keep talking myself into 14', but thr Adirondak is hard to ignore with everything it offers, especially at the price.

Hey @cowbway8462! For me my journey was kind of getting more into the outdoors and doing a lot of solo adventures that pushed me out of my comfort zone.
