3 Days Backcountry Camping in Bug Season | Heavy Rain and Mosquitos

This trip we went back to Kawartha Highlands to take on the Serpentine Loop. Day 1 was full of heavy rain which I thought may keep the bugs away but it just seemed to make them mad. After battling the bugs and the rain, it all finally came to an end just in time to go to bed. Great way to introduce your friend to backcountry camping!

Glad you had a bit of sun even if it was on the last day, that looked like a very hard portage there hopefully the fish will be biting the next time your out camping together.

We end up with a full day of great weather!(next video) but ya that first day was pretty rough and we’re glad to have that portage behind us! Was great to wake up to the sun after all that rain

I laughed about the question; so do they make canoes lighter than this? LOL! Ya, much lighter but they also come with a heavier price tag.
