Ice Fishing on SECRET Backcountry Lakes for Splake

Lately Ive been on a mission to explore new backcountry lakes trying to catch different species of trout. This trip I was able to catch my first ever splake and cook it up right there by the lake.

Extremely deep to be fishing dink perch. Ever hear of barotrauma?

We kept almost every fish we caught that day. I did release one and watched it swim back down on the livescope although I know that doesn’t mean it stayed down there. I honestly didn’t think I would even catch perch at that depth.
