Best channel thanks Roger always learn something new! Still haven't caught a single salmon yet but the day is getting closer using the tips you provide mate cheers keep it up
Another nice video mate. I did spend part of the video watching the reel in the holder kiss the water at times 😬 Love catching and using nippers down Jervis Bay here.
Hi Roger, can you use anything for bait found on the beach such as a piece of metal, plastic, I mean anything? As fish eat anything that moves when hooked to a line. This will be a good challenge adventure fun video😊 Thanks for sharing your wonderful videos. Cheers and greetings from Canada🇨🇦🍺✌️
I use and like to use 8-10lb line on a 10' Ugly Stick to fish for most things. Taylor are great sport on light gear. A block of pilchards, light gear is a great mornings fun. Keep a couple and release the rest. Go home happy!!
Rodger , I,m a beach fisho and i love your videos , I have countless rods and reels that are showing there age , I know I've probably seen it somewhere on your show but for the love of me , I cant find it anywhere, Sir , what I would like to know is your preference in beach rods. the only reel that I don't lay claim to is the side cast , I love the overhead and egg beater for the beach. love ya show
Fishing can be so subtle - two people standing next to each other fishing the same gear and bait, and one of them catches all the fish while the other catches nothing. It’s not luck either: Roger is presenting a more natural looking bait and that’s making all the difference.
I wouldn't want to be William when I go out fishing with other buddies... Being useful with the landing net and being a great help while others are sticking Gold 😂😂😂.
hi,roger. wading out into our waters here in south africa is not recomended. we got crocs & zambizi sharks on most of our coastal eastuaries, & inland lakes attached to the ocean.
It depends where you live in South Africa, as it does in Australia. In KwaZulu-Natal, where you live, you stay out of the water. In Australia it is Queensland where the crocks are. On the other hand Western Cape / Eastern Cape are OK in South Africa. With the equivalents in Australia being Victoria / New South Wales.
Not far north from where Roger is the Bull sharks start to get more in number the further north you go the thicker they get. Then the jellyfish come in... horrible things. At the top of the country its full of crocodile, shark, jelly fish, stone fish, cone shells etc
Your a absolute legend mate nice and calm when I was learning how to fish my mate that was teaching was so annoyed by me lol and now days I just feed them
@@SouthCoastChompers Depends what you are fishing for. Also im assuming u have the 70mm one? For whiting just do a constant retrieve and for bream & flathead do 2 pops.. pause... 3 pops pause... and if you see a boil behind then pause for like 3 seconds and then give it another pop. If you need more info if I was a bit unclear feel free to ask :) happy fishing.
@@muhammadhamza4563 Nah, I'm not a vegan. What Roger does to his live baits, rip its little claw off, shove a hook up its backside and out its mouth the poor little guy isn't going to be a live bait for very long.
I’m enjoying your videos. Inspiring me to get out there for a fish.
You are a born teacher. Much appreciated.

Can you do an episode about fishing on a reclaimed beach?

that taiwan looks similar to our east coast silver stump nose?? stripes+yellow fins. (south africa natal).
roger pls advise on your hook size and long or short shank??

Lmbo 😂 I feel for William! Roger should have given him some tips
Beach worms would work well there too though? Doesn't have to be local bait. Is that burrill or the other lake

You wouldn't want to do that sort of wading in croc country

Where’s the salmon? Haha good vid
Which lake is this?
Great eating fish - bream. Used to eat many many bream in Tassie on the NE coast.
You should try the mmd splash prawn in that lake! absolutely slays fish on the flats :)
What retrieve do you use for the splash prawn, I just bought a couple 🤙🏻
