Dudes! Thank you both for taking us along, showing us the ropes, and getting us on some killer fish. Helped us check Algonquin Brookies off the bucket list 😎. Happy you enjoyed the video, thanks!

Awesome video. Have great memories of fishing Algonquin with my Dad and brother. Always used old school spinners and caught lots. Ben if you are having line issues close your bail by hand. Every time you snap it closed with the reel it will put twist in your line. You can also get a line conditioning spray which takes the memory out of your line and you have fewer issues with twists and knots. I got mine at Bronson and Bronson here in Kingston and a spray bottle lasts forever. Spray your line (on reel) the night before you fish and it will relax all those curls and twists. Also use a good swivel above your spoons or flashers as they create a lot of line twist. Tight Lines and looking forward to the next video.

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. It wasn’t the line twist necessarily, the spinner would get fouled up on itself.

Hey guys, I love fishing specks. Was wondering what is that new canoe you just got?

@@robshulist2400 sorry for the late response! This canoe is called a Canadian from the Heritage Series made by the company H2O Canoes. It's the 16'6" model in Innegra/Bassalt and has the "Brute Force" epoxy finish. Absolutely love it!

Not the first, probably won't be the last 😅. Gotta love those Algonquin Brookies! I (Adam) can fling a fly, but there's lots of room to improve 😎. Thanks Rob!

i was in there 2 months back and was coming to the end of a big lake heading into a river system and portages. when it tightened right up i was swarmed by horse/deer flies on my gear. fascinated with the materials but weren't really going at me for awhile. weird. they also love the black plastic around vehicle windows. mystery.

That sounds like a good news story to me! Dear flies are the worst. Fun times, thanks for watching!

Copper is a killer color in the park on most lakes

Regarding the deer flys, yeah it was the color. Look up deer fly traps and they're all blue. I learned that the hard way with a Barrel works pack in Georgian Bay Blue. Absolutely hounded that bag.

Oh interesting! We're not even sure these were deer flies, they almost had a bee type pattern. But that's a great little factoid to remember. Thanks Adam!
