Great review! Man when I see that Unreal engine style vegetation I know my computer will melt. Wish they embraced a more minimalist, cartoony, or cute style. But it looks like it has more platforming like Mario Odyssey and has a skill tree. Pretty interesting.

The first Elex is just terrible. It's weird and janked,,up but Lord it's fun to just explore and do bad combat and listen to atrocious voice acting. But I still loved every gruelling horrible minute of it!! This new Elex2 looks even maybe worse some how. But damnit I'm gonna buy it. Lol. God in heaven I do love true gamer misery.

Its fun but need a lot of improvement (especially in term of playability/shotcuts/visual). But the idea behind it is really strong, a few good patch to improve it and we good to go (especially the shrines area of effect, shortcuts to upgrade all houses, etc) Being a fan of city builder, its great that the genre get more attention and games but the dev need to go beyond just "city builder with unique theme (underwater, on top of a mountain, on the back of a giant monster, with beavers, aztec) but also bring unique mechanism (with was the case for Against the storm and made it so good)

I guess you have a bit overrated this game. I mean isn't bad at all and it's interesting but there is no replayability, i have done everything in less than 2 hours (2 campaign also in the hardest mode ever). No possibility to long building or stay around since all resource wil be depleted soon or later....I mean is not bad but i won't give more than 7/10, too few hours gameplay and repetetive content is mostly the problem (as well as low difficult)

I palyed the demo for this in a previous Steam Next Fest as well as Aztecs: The Last Sun. I ultimately forgot which one was which, so I put them together, but I do remember Aztecs being slightly better. I guess that's a definitive judgement on which of these civilizations was superior.

well lets not forget that lol started in 2009 and too be honest the UI / the champs have improved but on some thinks, they got stelae . also venguared fucked by system up so i am always open to check out other moba styles games at this point

I only heard about this game a few days ago and grabbed the demo to check it out because it looked great. I really enjoyed the combat and the designs. But I know in reality, I have a terrible time finishing 4X games. And I'm kind of surprised it costs as much as it does in early access. I feel like by the time it hits 1.0 they're going to be knocking on a AAA price point.

I'd not call it an evolution. Evolution would be a full-on nation simulation, 100 hours per session. This is more like a snippet game.

I must say the art is really stunning. Never saw so good visuals in a indie game
