Great review! Man when I see that Unreal engine style vegetation I know my computer will melt. Wish they embraced a more minimalist, cartoony, or cute style. But it looks like it has more platforming like Mario Odyssey and has a skill tree. Pretty interesting.

I actually like his retro look. This game is as if Congo’s Caper was in 3D.
I rather enjoyed his original look, too. They "cute-ified" him by going from small eyes to huge eyes, which has been a cross-medium trend for a while now (e.g., Disney, Beanie Babies).
