I could see Christian becoming AEW champ when Danielson's reign is over by the end of the year. Let Christian tease his cash in like the heel he is, and have him win it after Brian his final match and he’s blown up battered and bloody
Christian Cage double champ perhaps give him the TNT Title by making Jack Perry cry a river by him losing the belt and him winning against Brian for the World Title sets up multiple story points
That is Tony’s decision. Don’t look at matches based on a wrestlers ability but on whether or not Tony favors them, this org are just life sized dolls for a rich kid.

One of AEW's best shows ever and it showed their growth with great production value and feud building payoffs. Some amazing matches as always, Nigel and Jamie were big surprises, The American Dragon as world champ is great to see, and Swerve showed why he is a top guy.
During Summer Slam weekend Westside Gun hosted a concert at House of Blues Cleveland that had Swerve and Bun B both perform sets at it. I like to imagine that concert helped lead to this ring entrance for Swerve.
I'm happy about Bryan getting his moment, even though I haven't watched AEW since 2021 when CM Punk returned I respect AEW still going strong and trying to stay in shape even though Tony can't stop making fun of WWE and not being a good boss, but it's nice to see the company doing well.
The security guard who was thrown to the barricade by Hangman was Spanish Wrestler Zozaya! He wrestled in RevPro 12 against RKJ and against Gene and Dereiss in Progress. Quite a 3-day stretch for him!
It’s ridiculous. They have a good finish but no, we have to get the dramatic kick out and then go another five minutes before a worse finish with the result.

Agreed, nothing to do with the character everything to do with how they avoid work at all costs and expect to be treated as gods for being a small part in the creation of aew, both on screen and behind the scenes. They just take up tv time actual talent could use
Yeah. Like, yes, they're a spectacle and good at that, but they also seemingly need to learn to step aside and help build up other teams. It feels like a given that whenever the Bucks are involved, they're either holding or chasing the titles. I get that there aren't necessarily a lot of tag teams that could challenge them... but isn't that the point? Help build up other teams by helping to build memorable matches and putting them (and the title) over. It would feel great to have another tag team holding the titles and the Bucks challenge them - wouldn't that make the titles and the team feel more important? Having the Bucks just challenge another team in a storyline feud without the titles, that'd make the team feel important too.
What a "meh" show. I wanted so badly to be brought back into AEW but this was just kinda confirmation I'm not missing much. Perry vs Darby was lame. Mercedes vs Britt was sloppy AF especially the last couple minutes. Ladder Match was run of the mill and looked carny with all the diff sized ladders. Osprey MJF had a better match on TV. Sooooo many empty seats, and the crowd was super tame compared to recent WWE international shows

Good stuff but I absolutely hate how much stuff everyone kicks out of. Sooooooo many moves shoukd finish matches but everyone just keeps kicking out
It’s ridiculous. They have a good finish but no, we have to get the dramatic kick out and then go another five minutes before a worse finish with the result.
@@SpaceGhost92I think only serious title match and non title blood feud matches needs to kick out from finisher from only ple. I hate when they literally kick out from finisher in dynamite or collision that's insane.

Quality PPV. So many great matches. AEW needs to get some momentum again, it's only a good thing for wrestling fans.

Agreed, nothing to do with the character everything to do with how they avoid work at all costs and expect to be treated as gods for being a small part in the creation of aew, both on screen and behind the scenes. They just take up tv time actual talent could use

Yeah. Like, yes, they're a spectacle and good at that, but they also seemingly need to learn to step aside and help build up other teams. It feels like a given that whenever the Bucks are involved, they're either holding or chasing the titles. I get that there aren't necessarily a lot of tag teams that could challenge them... but isn't that the point? Help build up other teams by helping to build memorable matches and putting them (and the title) over. It would feel great to have another tag team holding the titles and the Bucks challenge them - wouldn't that make the titles and the team feel more important? Having the Bucks just challenge another team in a storyline feud without the titles, that'd make the team feel important too.

What a "meh" show. I wanted so badly to be brought back into AEW but this was just kinda confirmation I'm not missing much. Perry vs Darby was lame. Mercedes vs Britt was sloppy AF especially the last couple minutes. Ladder Match was run of the mill and looked carny with all the diff sized ladders. Osprey MJF had a better match on TV. Sooooo many empty seats, and the crowd was super tame compared to recent WWE international shows
