- Have you ever wanted to play Disco Elysium but it’s set in Steampunk London at the turn of the 20th century where dwarves, centaurs, cyclops, minotaur, werewolves, and prostitutes converge in a seedy dance of death and deception? If so, you’re probably the team behind Sovereign Syndicate.
As always, I hope you enjoy this spoiler-free review... and, believe it or not, it's my channel's 100th video!

Thanks so much for the review! Glad you enjoyed your time with it. Yes we're definitely working on those navmesh issues that are getting the player character stuck, hope to have those all ironed out before release. We also increased the number of autosaves to prevent the accidental saving while stuck. Happy to answer any other questions about it.
You're very welcome! Thanks for pouring your heart into this fascinating game. I'm excited to give the release build another playthrough :)
Ooh nice, this game seems right up my alley. Good video.
Thank you! I hope you enjoy the game as much as I did :)
This was a great overview, I enjoy your editing style
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it. More reviews to come :D
Great review and review style of a game i was very intrigued about, will probably pick it up a little after full release.
Wouldn’t mind if the video was 1-1.5 minutes longer if it meant you took a breath every now and again and gave us a few more seconds to consider your words and the scores given.
Thanks for watching and for the helpful feedback! I've gotten that a few times, lately, so I'll plan on slowing things down in future reviews 👍
Been waiting for this game to come out since I played the demo last year! You can tell the devs put a lot of passion into it, and I'm glad to see that it's done well other than a few little issues here and there. Can't wait for release :D
Indeed! It's a real labor of love. The developer has confirmed that the release build will address several of the concerns raised in this review, so I hope you have a great time with it :)
the voice acting in Disco Elysium was a huge factor in the game, although the original version didn't have it... maybe it'll be added to this game later
the devs have said they would like to add voice acting if the game sells well enough that they can afford it
@@DocXango someone should make an A.I. voice generated mod for the game, like they did for World of Warcraft quests
Thanks! Yeah we'd definitely love to add VO and localizations if we can afford it. Hopefully the game sells well and we can re-invest in it.
Wonderfull review, thank very much. I'll definately check it out.
You bet, dude! Thanks for much for watching, and I hope you enjoy the game as much as I did :)
I´ve finished the game few days ago. And I have to say - I had a blast! Even though the start of the game is too...wide and slow paced, the ending and "segmented story" via several characters clicks together and it was very pleasant experience :) And it even had Arcanum-style nuances, which I dig very much!
Nice! Glad you enjoyed it as much as I did. I thought it was pretty special and would love to see a sequel someday :)
You're a fun writer my dude :)
Thank you! Appreciate that compliment and am glad you like the style :D
What were you're thoughts on the no combat. I felt it a little bit stranged, but finally settled into the story during act 2. Dropped you a like.
Thanks for the like! Generally, I don't mind non-combat games, but I was personally hoping for a little more action in Sovereign Syndicate. As is, the action sequences feel pretty static and hands-off. Still a fun experience overall, though.
i still prefer you doing deep dives and slow the phase to make it a little bit longer but cant force ya to
Noted! Thanks for the feedback :)
Autosave is thr WORST Aspect of Disco Elysium. You get game over and autodave was HOURS ago
Brutal :/ Luckily, the developer has commented saying tomorrow's release build will have more autosaves.
