I like that you had positive insights as well. I really want to pull the trigger on this one but I'm weary of the wasted time aspect due to crashes. Losing up to an hour of progress, repeatedly, would be a complete demotivator for me.
What the hell, quality of this video is not what I expect from a review I found on steam. This is quality I'd see out of a few million sub channel. Keep doing what you're doing man this is quite good
edit: just finished the video, I'd like to participate to win one of those key, on a sidenote I've wishlisted this game as it seems really fun compared to other survival games I've played, but while it seems fun to play right now the save system / other game breaking bugs just don't make it really worth it for now

I really appreciate that despite glaring issues You've noticed some potentially interesting stuff and end on hopeful notes - usually youtubers tear games to shred and leave no redemption for the devs. Hopefully they'll take that feedback seriously.

Thanks for the first impressions of WS. I was waiting one year for this game and a first impression is always necessary before buying a game. Tbh in an early access phase nobody can expect a game without a big amount bugs and glitches, especially a week after the release. And the development team seems to be quite active in the steam comments to show, that they are working on all the reported issues. In some way of playing video games I feel quite masochistic for playing hard and/or early access games. Nightingale (much too easy) just shot the first place this year so far but maybe Winter Survival is able to compete properly. I just bought a couple of games, so WS has to wait for next month but maybe I am lucky and have a chance to win the second key (:

my review of Story Mod:
the devs were saying they wanted to release a huge game about 3 years ago and all the release times were delayed about 6 or 7 times I stopped counting, the reasons were the game was too good to be released at a bad time or they wanted to add more to the game,
after all that Quatsch the game was released in the early access phase and I just finished the "Story mod" Sadly the "Winter Survival Prologue" 3 years ago is better than today's "Story mod".
not recommend it because of Devs lies about past delays, so I'm not sure this game will be fully released before Star Citizen.

it amazes me the fact that a broken game like this can be sold in steam for real money, i guess EA means a pass for anything nowadays
I’ve been playing it for a few days and I haven’t had a single problem with it. No crashes, no performance issues, no visual issues, nothing; games been fine and great fun

I really wanna playtest this, but idk after your review i really do not think i would wanna spend money on it. Afterall right now it seems broken and needs alot of love, hopefully the dev will pussh the needed updates/patches.

I played the demo version when it was available... I didn't have too many issues and enjoyed the game... So that makes me wonder, what did they change since I played the Demo version 🤔
After having played the demo and being really optimistic about the game its kinda sad to hear that its borderline unplayable I just hope that they fix most of the crashes and bugs in the near future

I'm downloading and playing this tonight! I enjoyed the Prologue and the Demo. I did have a bug with the bear show up but was able to still play the game after doing what the game wanted me to do, which was hide behind some rocks.. not on top of them. haha
I’d be interested in a key. It has potential for sure, but the amount of early-access games that also had “potential”, yet, never delivered, makes it hard to be optimistic for a game like this

Its again a case of "wait 3-4 weeks till the biggest issues are fixed" and "wait 3-4 days for the reviews"... i would love to try it it really scratches my itch for a winter survival scenario but im not sure if i should pick it up now

Boy oh boy another great development team releasing garbage for money got to love the credibility of Devs now adays
This game was broken for me while still in the menu. Uninstalled. I watched another youtuber play it and he was getting killed by wolves that were glitching through walls. I just couldn't imagine doing everything perfectly in terms of survival in this already not fun game and then dying to a glitched out wolf entity. This game is at such an immature level of development that I don't think anyone outside of staff should be playing it.
Bingo! If you're going to create a mechanically punishing game, you need to make darn sure that everything else is polished beyond reproach.
