- Godsworn is a promising (if unpolished) resurrection of classic RTS titles like Warcraft 3 and Age of Mythology, which makes it tough for me to objectively review, seeing as I am inherently biased to the genre. But when did that ever stop me from sharing an opinion that nobody asked for?

That you missed how to make groups while it is almost the standard shortkey for this genre is beyond me :D

Ugh, I promise I tried that keybinging a dozen times-it’s the default keybinding in every RTS lol. Weird it didn’t work for me, but good to hear the game has it.
i would include the references of northgard as is shares many building features outside of zones.

I feel like the problem is that the genre was essentially perfected in the early/mid 2000s and there's only so much you can do with it. And each map tends to take a long time to play and life is so busy these days..
It's weird to think that a game genre could be "perfected," but I think you're pretty much right. I can't say that any of the RTS games I've played (with the exception of SC2) stand out as superior to anything that came out in those early/mid-2000s heyday. Retro RTS games like Godsworn are basically living proof of that argument.
I feel you, its sad that the RTS game isn't popular at all and not even well known at all. But I am part of the younger generation and I know quite several people around my age who also play RTS games. But overall they are rare.
Every RTS is at its best with others, so I'm glad to hear you know some younger folk that still play the genre!

There is an option to make squad keybindings, Ctrl+number will create a control group. :)
That’s weird, because I swear I tried to make that keybinding work on multiple occasions :( regardless, thank you for letting me know. I didn’t ding the game’s overall score for that, for what it’s worth.
They need to put in a save option.
Not having a save option is ludicrous. I almost dropped the "Playability" score to a 2/5 for that alone.
Looks like this will be a game that I will wait on getting till it gets more updates, bug fixes and balancing. The issues with the "teammate" sound annoying.
I should've mentioned this in the review, but you can also co-op the campaign, in which case you wouldn't have to deal with the silly AI ally :)
Would be awesome if they would rework UI a little bit. Feels, like it takes too much of the interface, and also icons of some characters looks to doll-like (ex.: Saule looks awesome, Michael looks like really cheap 3D avatar).
Otherwise, as person who have not yet played, looks promising!

I should've noted this in the review, but you can reduce (and increase) the size of the UI from what you've seen in my gameplay footage. But I do agree with you about Michael looking like a stock asset haha.
Sadly I tried the demo and it the units felt so floaty. You'd have to play to feel it.
Old RTS unit pathfinding were snappy, this one just feels clunky.
That's an interesting observation, because "floaty" is typically a critique reserved for platformers... and yet I agree with you here in the RTS context. Hmm. I guess you're probably right that it has to do with the pathing animations-units look light, like they weigh less than they should. Audio/visual feedback during the movement animations, too; Warcraft's units (sans Night Elves) all sounded like they were stomping their weight into the ground, which isn't the case for anything in Godsworn, even the giant Leshies.
2 people are developing the game, with good feedback and some help, the game can be so good.
So for 2 people, supporting them i thinks tis totally okey.

Aren't the developers of this game 2 of the developers of Warcraft 3?
I don't believe so. At least, I haven't read anything that says as much. I think they'd have to be considerably older than they look in their About Us section: www.thunderoakinteractive.com/about-us.
