Kinda sounds like you're sucked in by the hype which is a little lame and you sound way too old for that. Sure he wore it, but it wasn't the famous watch from that movie. Nor was it the first Bond Omega or from any of the better Brosnan movies. It's a little known watch from that movie and you sound obsessed (not in a good way) with the train scene. Guessing you don't have many friends outside of this hobby? And you trash talk other bond watches which makes you seem like a giant wanker.

Got 5 Omega. Sold one Rolex and will sell my second also. Would love a Planet Ocean 42 mm but i think it's too thick. And no micro adjustment i guess

Too much high polish means it attracts fingerprints, scuffs and scratches. Otherwise, I like the design.

This watch is best not to be worn in or around water. Or on land. It is best to not be purchased. Go with the Rolex or Tudor. They are built to be used.

Great watch, masculine and stylish, too bad though prices a bit higher now on Chrono 24 , but definetely worth it comparing to the foolish bigger modern version of 42 mm case these days.

Would you recommend to get the 60th Bond or the NTTD? Currently debating between the two.

Very good review. I knew you’re true watch enthusiast from your point of view about accuracy of the watch. I also find myself very concerned about accumulating delay of 2 seconds per day. Rolex and omega so far is the most accurate. Its thats not enough, get a spring drive.

Speedy, obviously. All the reasons you cite and one more: Buy a Speedy. Go to any air and space museum. You will see your watch. You may see one that went to space such as Jim Lovell's moondust scarred Hesalyte at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. Explain its history to your children. They will look at your wrist in wonder. Take them to an air and space museum so they can see it there. When you are ready hand it to your children. They will understand and give it to their children. Their children will do the same. IN A THOUSAND YEARS Rolex, Patek, V-C...all will be uttterly forgottten. Your descendants will look at a photograph, at a museum exhibit, then at their wrist and see THE pivotal moment of human history. Nor will you be forgotten.

Two small things I don’t like about the 3861 speedy is the big omega font they used and second the chronograph pushers are shorter than the 1861. Other than that it’s perfect.

Is it stiffer to start the chronograph than Stopping it ?? 🤔

I picked up a Rolex DEEPSEA recently and I can see the same thing happening to me. It makes everything else - including my 42mm Explorer II - feel like a lady's watch. Now I'm thinking about picking up a Planet Ocean Chronograph to go with the DEEPSEA. Great video!

Rolex makes excellent quality watches, with time-tested designs. But the brand has so much extra baggage right now; flippers and resell speculation, amd the impossibility to but at retail that results from that; it being the go-to, obvious status symbol brand of the nouveau riche, etc. Omega is free of all that baggage, and the watches are just as good IMO. Also, lyre lugs; Can't beat that.

Hesalite is the way to go. It’s the only real Moon Watch
