- Hello and welcome to Showcase Watches, the channel with zero editing sharing my journey through the luxury watch hobby. I specialise particularly in Omega as this brand is what first drew me into the hobby many years ago.

Hi James. Glad to see u again. I've always seen your personal sharing/content, and thoughts as sincere, pure and true. Do'nt shut down the channel. Keep the vids. Theres a whole new generation that might reach out to the tube and accidentally bump over your sharing.
On the tube content, cars, books, etc. Whatever catches your fancy.

I enjoy your content because you stand out from the toxic watch crowd. I'm not interested in drama and playground spats. Whether it's watches or machinery, I'll be here for it. Listening to a well adjusted adult on RUclips is an uncommon treat these days so keep the channel going please.👍

Showcase - I 100% love your attitude and 100% agree with you. I too have had it with the drama and have been stepping away for may of the same reasons. With 8 billion people on the planet,, you be you. Follow your own heart and make your own content on your terms and people will follow. Lead your own new eco-system and generation of followers. There will people that follow as I’m sure there are many people out there that feel,as you do. Don’t let the world change you when you have the power to be the agent of change. I like all of your video's. I'm all in too neo vintage sports watches, and think they are great buy and much better looking. The Seamaster 222080 is now on my radar. I know you also like that watch too. Keep on making video's !
Definitely don’t remove your channel, still to this day I go back to older videos to watch them.
You’re right unfortunately on the direction many live streams have taken. Have a look at the watch colony for what has so far been a drama free channel and I’m sure you will recognise some names there. If you do set up your own stream I will certainly be watching 👍
It has always been about money and creating an echo chamber! But when the tide recedes, you can see who's really engaging. Forums offer a different experience from RUclips channels, allowing you to indulge in your hobbies without the distractions and drama!

It's great to see you post a video after a long time. Some Omega focused watch content is definitely a go I think. The Omega market is going to be an interesting segment to watch, especially with the word that they are phasing out the "Mum & Dad" ADs and looking to go exclusively boutique only. You can get some real good Omega's on the grey + secondary market now at good prices (Seamaster 2234 & 2254 references just to name two) & the punters should be informed of this. You are 100% correct - we are lacking solid watch talk that isn't either drama or hype fueled, and need to get this back.

I found you many years ago, when you were doing Planet Ocean vs Sub videos. I have slowed down myself a lot this year but money is needed elsewhere right now and it really makes you think about what watches are short list. There will always be ups and downs, a few years cool off is not unheard off and honestly pretty healthy.
Looking at a new Sub no date, Explore 1 40mm, maybe a Zenith Shadow and Speedy FOIS, have a few Speedy Pros already.
Definitely keep channel up and I like the thought of a deeper dive into Onega, plus also throwing in some tractor and car restoration.
Don’t get involved in all the drama, can’t stand it. Do your own thing. As a fellow Omega fan boy I would love Omega content, reviews of current catalogue, perhaps what future models Omega could release, looking at reissuing old models. Still hoping they will reissue the 2254.50 at some point. Do what feels right for you, don’t chase views / followers, going on past experience your content has always been excellent. Cheers

Long time no see!!! Keep your channel and keep it watch related. Don’t delete your old videos. You have some very great vids. I’ve been turned off from following the usual Watch RUclipsrs that went full live stream content. I don’t watch those channels with unknown creepy looking random guys talking crap about who knows what. Or those grifter grey market deal channels (some of which support criminals ponzi scamers). I follow smaller channels that put watch review content. I suggest add restoration videos to your channel or start a new one for just that. Restoration channels are popular, ESPECIALLY if you restore vintage tractors. You are on to something. Not much is out there for that. You should keep your channel for watch reviews. I agree the watch hobby is not the same. Too many guys got suckered into buying hype watches and lost money. So much toxic people in the watch industry. Even Hodinkee has gone to crap. Thankfully there’s less grey market watch channels. Perhaps you can do watch collection reviews from people you know or they can submit a SOTC for review

Bang in the money james. The minute the chats got sanitized they started going downhill. Been taken over. Unfortunately the begging for money online has spoilt the fun. PS: do the tractor refurbishment even though most of us have an interest in tractors its still intersting content regarding refurbishment of things.
Yes please start making live streams, I stopped following a lot of the shows I used to like because of the reasons you described. I just miss shows just talking about watches.

Just talk about what you love. Other people are worried about getting views and growing their channel. It'll be refreshing change of pace.
Do what you love and what won’t bore you ! And yes I feel watch collecting has changed and youtube is saturated in watch content and cheapens the experience

Couldn’t agree more! Factionalism has taken over the watch space and has driven me away from lots of channels. Can’t stand to see viewers give money regularly to these guys just so they can feel like they have a friend. Most of these guys don’t give a toss about their audience and just want the $$$$. I’ve got a “grail” on the way and after that, I may return to my sunglasses collection. There’s a ton of new 714 out now👊👍.

Please put up any content you have on your projects. Omega isn't well represented on the tubes so more Omega vids would be appreciated.
to many watch chanels anyways, its always been toxic, a few tractor vids myabe different, maybe a milk float vid, a horse and cart vid, watch this space !!!
Since the Speedmaster scandal I've also shared no interest in omega.
So because the scammers and inside job in Omega, they’re not desirable? It fucking fooled their own experts.
Egomaniacs always end up ruining things
I have never understood the endless 3 hour Archieluxury live streams. Who has the time to watch people talking crap and fighting with each other? Don’t get me wrong I love watching Archie go off about peoples Watch collections and e-begging but the live streams are very strange. I can’t spend 3 hours on the off chance something might happen.
My advice is do what you like to do. If talking about older reference watches and fixing up tractors is your thing then do it. If people find what you do interesting then it will take off. If you are passionate about something then I am sure it will show through.
A word of advice. Don't delete old videos for any reason. Its a bad idea for a RUclips channel to get into several unrelated topics, like watches and vintage machines. You will get views from different audiences and the almighty algorithm will hate you and push you further down. Most people who did that eventually created a separate channel for each topic/audience. I know your youtube journey is not money based, but at least pay attention to that before making a decision.
