    Really good video and many thanks for all the advices, very useful. I own just 5 watches and it's more than enough for me. I have a Omega Speedmaster ( hesalite ) , Tudor BB Black, Tudor BB GMT, Longines Conquest Heritage and Suunto (just for running and sport). I'm more than happy with them. Thanks for sharing.

    Great video mate. Some great content on RUclips and your advice seems pretty spot on. Recently got into watches, went down the tag route, due to brands influences from my youth (80s child). No regrets, and can't understand all the hate on tag. However agree, would never pay full retail again. But never planning on selling them. They were bought cos I like them and they were more affordable for me.

    The days of 20% have gone in my opinion. I managed 10% on the new Speedy.

    Great video and advice. In Nov 2021 I bought the Black Bay 58 Navy Blue at retail on a bracelet to compliment a range of predominantly black-dialled watches in my collection that include a classic Rolex Submariner Date 16610 that I've cherished for 19 yrs. The Tudor is a super, very well-made luxury timepiece and I appreciate its rather understated blue dial and aluminium bezel compared to the 'bling-blue' ceramic of my Omega Seamaster 300. Like-for-like think of the Blue 58 as a more modern take on its original black and gilt sibling. The blue really pops in daylight or in well-lit rooms and a pleasure to wear. Although not quite up there with the Rolex in the absolute quality stakes - but why should it when it's barely 35% of a steel Sub's retail price (that's if can wait 3 yrs) - go to an AD and try one on. An in-house COSC certified movement, 70 hrs power reserve, staggering lume.... you won't be disappointed.

    A working class guy should not be worried about paying for a watch or jewelry he can’t afford. Rolex may be one of the few brands that can appreciate in value, but it isn’t the only one that retains value. He just needs to pick the models that hold value and he needs to be patient (and yes getting a discount is always a good idea).

    I think before buying something online it would be good to fit at an AD first. although i've bought several watches w/o ever having seen them in person.

    Very true what you said at the end. Easy to get into debt. Save for it, even if it takes 2-3 years. Don't get a watch on finance. No reason to do that. My casio F91W gold accent was £13.99.
    I also tried Hamilton and a few cheap brands like Seiko Turtle, but I find that a quality is worth saving for, and while I do that, a casio is cheaper than most and excellent quality and history for what it is. Super cool too

    Great advice. I have a G shock 5600E and a Casio F91W. On waiting list with the AD for the new Explorer 36mm, which will be my do it all (unless swimming or very physical stuff, when I use the G Shock). I would add that casio is a great start while you're saving for that grail. I used to have the hesalite 1861 Speedmaster and an Aqua Terra from early 2000s. Both great watches. (Railmaster 40mm Black dial really interesting. James have you ever tried it on? What's it like? I like watches 36mm-40mm, but as long as they're not too tall, I'm flexible about the size). Thanks mate

    Hi, so i'm in love with the looks of the tag heuer carrera sport chrono in green. It is however €5600. My dad calls me crazy if i buy it because in his opinion, tag heuer is not worth that amount of money. He tells me to get a breitling. I really don't know what to do. I see it also as money retention so i dont want it to lose halve it's value. I hope you can help.

    I have owned a Rolex. It's "Not" a Life Changing Experience. Stayed in the Safe 90% of the time. I would Never "play" the Games necessary to buy one today, now would I pay the outrageous prices people are asking rite now. Like I said, It's Not a Life Changing Experience. Pick up pieces that You "think" You will wear the most and get The One You Like, not what You think Other People will like

    Tags aren't my baby; but you can't diss them for not having in-house when they do. BTW do you believe Rolex actually make all their own parts, seriously? Do you think they use Chinese components, or not?

    • @robertpeters2141

      Rolex makes all parts in-house except for crystals. They even make their own gold.

    Rex doesn't really I terest me. Great for retail price, ur I'm not paying o er the odds for something that's not an a tiqur. And ebay? 😀😀😀😀 you are obviously amazing at spotting fakes and damaged watches. I'm not. Bought my Omegafrom an AD. Paid the right price for an amazing watch. Oh, and I'm covered by sale of goods legislation. When you get rhat luxury watch and you find out its not keeping time, good luck getting your refund. Might look at a good dealer one day, but I would have to have a great level of trust in them.
    Good luck and love your watches every body 😀

    "Speedmaster for 80% for cash or you pay20% APR?" Mate that's dangerous and wrong. I don't think you have the qualifications to speak about finance. Yet another Rolex fanboy who thinks he knows watches...

    • @pl8267
      @pl8267 3 года назад

      What do you mean? He advised to buy Omega with cash or credit card to get 20% discount. I got it this way and got 20% off. You don't need to get professional financial advise to understand how credit card works and how to pay in full to avoid APR.
