Yeah it’s the 3060 model and most of the ones they made had only the orange lighting.

Is it the same specs? I read that only people with the 3060 or higher have the option.

@user-wm3zc9sx6u I think you should have the option too, but there’s a chance they only started doing it with the 11th gen Intels. Only thing I could think of is check to make sure your bios is up to date.

That’s weird. Does the trackpad work when HandheldCompanion isn’t running? If it still doesn’t work you might be missing a driver.

If you’re using Linux you should probably just use SteamOS and its controller configurator.

You have to run any apps or games through Steam so SteamInput (controller support) will be active. You can manually add any non Steam game or app to your Steam library.

You need a windows pc for Rufus. Doesn’t work in Linux unfortunately. Rufus will also erase everything on the external drive to put Windows on it so the games will have to be redownloaded too.

Yeah, everything is on the SD card so you can have two SD cards, one for each OS, or change the files on one card. You can’t put both OSs on one card and swap between them though.

I have read that there was an update that was eventually pulled that was killing monitors. It’s unfortunate that these companies don’t do a good job of testing before releasing updates. I can tell you that no company is immune to doing this though, but it’s worth considering how well they handle support if something goes wrong.

If you’re adding the storage to the second slot you don’t have to do any data transfer. It’ll show up as a second drive (usually D:) in Windows. If you want to replace the drive in the original slot or want to use the new drive as the main Windows drive you’ll need to do a data transfer. Most new name brand SSDs will let you download their data transfer app for free and run you through the process if that’s what you want to do.

It should still be working. The key is it’s switching between Xbox wireless mode and Bluetooth mode and you can have one device for each. Xbox wireless is limited to an Xbox Series console or the Xbox wireless adapter for pc.

Yeah Valve is taking their sweet time with drivers this time.

Is it the model with the same battery size? If it is just give it some time. I don’t know what it is about Windows, but it seems to eat battery life after setting up for my devices. What I do now when I get a new Windows device is update everything first, then I leave it on, plugged in, idle, and don’t let it sleep for a day (screen off is ok). Let Windows take care of everything it want to in the background then try a battery life test in low power mode. Let me know if it helps.

It’ll be perfect for Roblox and Fortnite. Luckily the CPU hasn’t improved much over the years and the newer 4060 GPU isn’t that much better than the 3060 unless you need DLSS 3 so it’s still very usable now.

I’ve been using the black more lately so it doesn’t stand out much when I’m out, but I think I like the purple’s single color buttons and styling better.

Can you try without the hub and see if it boots into Windows? You might not be able to set it up without a keyboard and mouse, but at least you can see if it’s the hub causing problems.

No, it doesn’t work any better than Gen 3. Some Gen 4 drives can be found pretty cheap though especially if they’re the slower speed ones so you should shop around for both. A slow Gen 4 can be about the speed of a fast Gen 3 and be a better price sometimes.

It should work for windows 10 too. It doesn’t launch manually either? It might not be set to auto launch in its settings.

Yeah, Windows won’t boot as an external drive normally. The key is that the shown process with Rufus makes a “Windows to Go” external drive which can boot.

I haven’t tried Steam Deck Tools, but it seems like it’s a good simpler alternative. Handheld companion has more features and is constantly being updated. Depends on what you’re looking for I think.

It should work fine, but you won’t be able to take advantage of the faster speed. The Steam Deck’s USB port is the limiting factor.

The t7 is probably quite a bit cheaper to buy, but if the cost doesn’t matter and you’re looking to use it with a newer device in the future the t9 would be a good investment.

I updated to the latest and it seems to fine. What happened?

@@Loaded0 I lost the access on bios doesnt show bios logo or boot logo. But windows start normally. And the led on side are blinking 2 ambar 7 white.

Wow that’s weird. Sounds like it’s still working at least. I think a CMOS reset might fix it, but it means you will have to unplug the battery from the motherboard. @@Loaded0 I dont do it we used this notebook to work, but we checked the dell support site and the latest bios was removed. Appear only 1.16.

I’ve heard this usually happens because of the type of cable or hub being used.

My white one came with a loose screen too, but the weird thing is the looseness went away. My theory is that I used it so much that the screen’s adhesive warmed up and made it attach better over time.

There was some bios updates that broke things but this one seems pretty stable so far. It might be the last one we get too as it seems like it’s getting longer between updates.

No, we have to wait for Valve to release the drivers. You can use a usb WiFi/bluetooth adapter and I think I read the headphone jack might work for audio, but I’d wait on official drivers to install Windows on the OLED.

Hybrid graphics need to be on in the bios so the AMD gpu is detected. Should let install after that.

I try to stick with good brand names because they’re more reliable. Ram isn’t so much of a problem since they don’t fail very often, but SSDs do tend to fail so at least get a good brand for that.

I haven’t noticed any problems with this bios so far and of course very happy the brightness controls work. Seems stable with the latest official AMD and Nvidia drivers too which is nice for newer game optimizations. I can get at least 60fps for every game I’ve tried and that’s all I really care for.

Obviously I fell in that trap too. I can’t use all of them at the same time, but as least they’re pretty to look at.

I originally purchased the white, then decided to get the grey instead and begged the seller to send me this instead. He did and understood the struggle. xD

Is it giving you an error every time it boots? Likely a ram or SSD problem which is replaceable for this laptop and can be fixed.

The new SSD won’t show up until you put an OS on it. You can either do a fresh install of Windows on it or if you have the old SSD with your data on it still you can put that one back in and clone it to the new SSD. Both are not difficult to do, but can take some time setting up. Also to clone the drive you’ll need an SSD enclosure.

I just charge in between uses, but you can use a usb hub that has power passthrough to charge at the same time. A lot of cables though. It would have been great if it had at least two usb ports.

I haven’t tried fornite, but yes it could be detected as a cheat since it’s emulating a controller. Also why you can change between an Xbox or PS controller type. It’s not ideal, but you can use an actual Xbox or PS controller via Bluetooth to the PC and it should let you play.

@@Loaded0 i heard some say they can use it in fortnite. That’s what gets me puzzled. I just don’t want to plug in an external controller. But thank you for the suggestion.

if you change any of the default tdp or fan control settings or anything overclocking (basical anything but the default hardware settings) especially while running fortnite or call of duty or any game with anti cheat matter of fact, it will detect as an "unusual input" or whatever and will assume your using tools to cheat, a buddy of mine found this playing call of duty, Ive been playing fortnite for about a year now with HHC and no issues, kept everything default.

@@CJKile I didn’t change anything but i figured what the problem was and it don’t have anything to do with HC. Something to do with the wifi drivers

I haven’t tried it on my Legion Go, but once you uninstall everything it should be back to normal. Maybe try installing the Legion Space software again.

Yeah I’m still very much appreciating the battery life. Unless the LCD bothers you I don’t think it’s necessary for the OLED screen though. I tend to make up excuses very easily to get new stuff and it’s not a great habit to have.
