Easy Way to Install Linux Apps On Chromebook via Flatpak (No Voice)

  • This is the easiest way I found to install the latest and best Linux apps onto a Linux capable Chromebook. In this tutorial I install Godot, a game engine that doesn't offer a deb file. Many other apps can be installed using the same directions.
    Basically installing Flatpak allows you to use the Flathub website to find a searchable and categorized list of great Linux apps. They show you exactly what to type into the Terminal and once the app is installed it's in the Chromebook App Drawer.
    Flatpak: flatpak.org (set this up first)
    Flathub: flathub.org (search your apps here)
