Man no offense but 2 things, A wrong about the front cam bearing being the one to not worry about. Next time use the second from the rear. The front actually carries the most load of them all. An the rear has the stabilization load.. B lol my God use your other arm to support and guide that cam in... You just raw dogged it lol

I picked up the same welder in the last 12 months and it came with the 220 cable connected to the machine, the adaptor came in 120. Excellent that you pointed out to the manufacturer the mistake waiting to happen. I glade the one i have is setup the safe way. Thanks J.C. Alan

Where did you order the lifters from?

I did same and none of the doors have power. All plus fit except one gray one at passenger right kick panel by fuse box. Did you have to add any relays or fuses for power mirrors, windows etc?

JC are you boxing in the frame in ? for added strength

Fyi, your ohm meter sends a known current or voltage through the load, then measures the voltage or current across and through the load for you to readout resistance or ohms. You are in fact putting power through load when you use an ohm meter. Ideally, resistance value should be checked on isolated loads.

I think the old 4070 b tractors had the same door hardware as that model !!

I did the same. However by passenger kick panel I now have one gray connector that does fit the gray truck connector. Also had to change gray connector that goes up driver rear wall. I'm guessing it's to dome lights and front passenger is to maybe extra plugs I now have going to bottom of front seats?

Calliper slid was the problem. It must be common problem with these isuzu nprs I had the same problem 70 percent warn on the outside and no pads on the inner .

That summit 1102 cam is a lot like the edelbrock 2102 performer cam. I have used it on a couple of 305's and a 307....smooth idle, high vacuum, broad torque range even on a little 305. A little.....very little port bowl work, a good 3 angle valve job, a performer like intake or a slightly tweaked factory 4bb intake and you are rolling. You will love how it drives on the highway, not what you might expect from a 305.

If what you got is a 305, go for it. Throw a little cam in it, a small 4bbl carb, some vortec 305 will work good. Build it, have fun, don't tell it it's NOT an ls and get rolling. You will be rolling and others will be still jacked up on bricks.

Being an old crack filler of some forty years JC, its a good idea to always rap the corners with weld for thats where cracks will start, great project.

Are you going with 19.5 or 22.5 LowPro? There is a fellow down near Parkersburg that has one like that and he has it painted with Black Imron paint and polished alum wheels. It has a 20 foot aluminum EBY livestock body on it and it really looks sharp. You two are having too much fun.

I had no clue about monitoring the changes in the frame when welding. Picturing how the structural elements are going to fit while figuring out the steering is really interesting

Is it possible to flip the axle over the springs?

J.C, U cut that frame channel in half height. I'd had done 3/4. Lots of forces at the rear spring shackle. Lateral too from steering. I'd reinforce now de frame over the front wheels with an angle iron on the inside x2, n long enough. Nice n educational show. Thanx

The cab looks great on the frame even when you set the weight of the engine and transmission on the frame it looks great. You might can go with a little taller tire and still have clearance in the fenders. Again I love where this build is going JC.

Is that a factory frame if so you may have a problem as factory frames dont want you to weld on as it affects the heat treatment, weakends the metal
