- IN THIS VIDEO WE BROUGHT MATT AND NEIL BACK IN TO HELP WITHT THE FRAME CUT AND WELD. SUCH A GREAT WEEKEND. GOT LOTS DONE AND ENJOYED HAVING THESE GUYS BACK. WE ARE MAKING INCREDIBLE PROGRESS!
I'm so glad you are having people come over to get the experience to work on your channel I would like to be there but I'm not in the best of health love to watch you work
I can sympathize with you on the health
I'm there too. Your mind says go but your body says no.
I hope your health improves.
I came THAT close to losing a leg. I'm just happy to be able to walk.
Celebrate the triumphs no matter how small.
Cheers
Terry
Great 2.5 days & great teacher! 20+ hours of work in a 30 minute video!
Nice build , great welding Matt!!!
Thanks! I had a pretty good teacher I must say
That welder is great too!
Love it. I can't wait to come back and learn some more from the master with the plains in the sand😂😂😂
You are going to get spoiled having people help you on these projects. That was some quality work on the frame modification
Really Cool project cabover . Just heavy duty enough without being too heavy .
Videos in the shop seem so much happier. With it being cleaner and much brighter then the other shop you were in
thats what happens when i stop working on other peoples' trucks and focus on mine. has nothing to do with the shop.
The frame looks awesome after all the work is done . Have a great evening, JC and Mrs Smith
Great video J.C.Smith really enjoy watching you work on this truck with Matt and Neals help this weekend. Looking forward to your next video stay safe Mr & Mrs J.C.Smith.
I love the way you 3 working together teaching learning.
I like where you’re going with the front suspension looking good 👍🏻 JC and crew. Can’t wait to see how the cab looks on the frame. Nice 👍🏻
This truck has 3 good fellows working together wish i could be there
Good work! Your an awesome teacher JC! Keep up the good work and good videos
That is going to be one badass truck.....
Dear J.C. Smith projects family.
👍👌👏 At last you've had a welder in your shop! 😁 ;-) 😋😜👅😇😘 2) Yes, Sir, please take the 5.9, 24 valve Cummins so that it's out of your way. The engine is already in your shop = looks like a perfect solution respectively easy decision to me.
Best regards, luck and especially health to all involved people.
Great job love it
Great idea on the frame J.C! 😎👍 Gunna look sweet closer to the ground. Nice work fellas 🔧
Definitely I'd plate the inside as it's a narrow channel right now, also running a sleeved rear shackle you may not need a castor wedge and will lower ride height that much as well as the lower front hangers. Keep up the great work
Going to look awesome when you get it done
Wow dr jc smith good class a one
you really do sound like your having a great time it comes through the camera jeez i wish i could get lessons from you for welding !
Love your work Jc,it’s great to see others getting involved with your project..Dave UK🇬🇧🇬🇧
Looks like a great experience for all involved and that was some mint welding.
I love this!
Love it
Looking good!
On one swing past that 5.9 in the shop, it appeared to be equipped with an air compressor. That is a happy accident.
That is the only reason it was in the group I was considering.
This build is going be SEMA worthy when it is done ! J.C. & guys thanks for bringing us along & yes box the frame in the front area will make it stronger then it was before cutting it !
Hi J.C & Hi Mrs.Smith & Hi Matt & Hi Neals & it's is Randy and i like yours video is Cool &Thanks J.C. & Mrs. Smith & Matt & Neals & Friends Randy
@@randydobson1863 Hello Randy!
Love it!!!
I'm thinking the small cummins ( 5.9 or 6.7 ) is a better fit for a jump in and run around play toy type rig than a big truck engine but some noisy jakes would be nice too lol hmm... straight piped 12.7 maybe ?? Haha
When in the 70’s I lived in Burundi in central africa, truck frames were in high demand for the steel for any job. Anything other steel was expensive and hard to get.
😎👍
Want to lower it smaller rims and tires . I wouldnt take a spring out . Especially in the front end
its done on semi trucks all the time. they haul a lot more than i will. not going with anything smaller for a tire and wheel. i want the opening filled.
Who says you can't weld a truck frame? They don't know you too well now do they...
I think that truck needs an old two stroke Detroit of some sort, just so it sounds it's very best!
You will never see me do anything with a 2 stroke. I plan to improve the truck. Not go backwards.
Curious where your located and how much you would charge to shorten a uhaul truck and add a dump bed.
Or just to shorten alone
Easier to change the injection pump from vp44 to p7100 then to swap a whole another motor trans
Cheaper to swap in another engine and trans. P pump requires timing cover, pump, lines, and so on. Quite costly to buy.
Go Mr. J.C.
Wassup
Is that a factory frame if so you may have a problem as factory frames dont want you to weld on as it affects the heat treatment, weakends the metal
