The reason why the rubber on the tires still work better than the new ones is because it was produced mainly by the rubber tree plant so it was real rubber today tires are made out of synthetic rubber

Planned obsolescence. Lots of products were made better back in the day. Problem was they were too good and you wouldn't need new tires unless you put lots of miles on them. After WWII when people started moving around the country, there was a demand for better tires so the tire industry did all sorts of research into better treads against road hazards, bad weather, poorly maintained highways, etc. And the shift to synthetic materials for better treads had the side effect of having not-so-great sidewalls, and that's where we see most of the crackling from tires sitting unused for years.

That car reflects the Art Deco movement of the 1930s. The Empire State building and the Chrysler building in New York City are also built with this design principle.
With their sloped hoods and hooded wheels, the cars were designed to appear in movement, even when they were parked.
    Absolutely beautiful!

From the mid 20s to the early 40's After that they started looking like hard-shell bugs. they stayed that way all the way into the late 60's there were a few exceptions like the T-Bird and the Corvett. Ford came out with the mustang. But for the most part the 60's cars pretty much sucked. Then the 70's and they all turned into boxes and stayed that way until the late 80's The 90's came along and they started putting lines back in cars, given them that sleek animal lines to them. Don't like boxy diamond cut cars. Give me the long lines that have aerodynamic curves to them.

Those few decades were loaded with innovation and some of the sleekest designs of all time. This is all coming from a ’90s baby who never knew anyone who owned a classic when I was little… I just love the whole streamlined era more than just about any other.

I am almost speechless . 30s in my favourite decade . I am in the UK so never see cars like this . The quality , the style . The art deco features . It is art at it's best . I would give anything for that car . I cannot find words to say how beautiful it is . A glimpse into an almost forgotten world .

You guys did a very respectful job. The upholstery was a especially well treated. One way we used to clean the wide white walls is with a wet SOS or Brillo pad.

I want you to know, I am really proud of you guys. Your video quality has gone up like crazy from your old videos, as well as tour skill levels! Also, I REALLY appreciate that you try to start them now and get reactions. I became a fan just recently and kinda started backwards- watching new videos and then watching older then older. Gotta say- something was definitely missing im the older videos when you didn't try to fire them up and when you didn't show the reactions from the owners. Loving the new video style for sure! Great job!

I really enjoyed this video. The mid-thirties cars are some of my favorites of the older style vehicles, and it came out beautiful. Bravo! They don't make em like they used to!

I love seeing really old cars (like '60's or earlier) being brought back to life. There are plenty of '70's (and newer) cars still on the road, so it's not really so thrilling to see them (unless they're very unusual, exotic, or rare, or in super filthy condition). To see these gems brought back to semi-new condition is just a treat, especially knowing they've probably been given a new lease on life. You hate to see these "old glories" just rusting and mouldering away!.

Those cars hold up better than the newer ones because it was from an era where they took pride in their work and it wasn't built as quick and CHEAPLY as possible and charged as much as possible knowing they were selling you some junk, In other words, give the people what they expected in a car with no games. That is actually a beautiful car! I love the lines of it!

I love to detail and actually did 2 of my granddaughters’ cars this week, a ‘15 Ford Fusion and a’12 Ford Escape. I prefer doing the exteriors and using products that make all the plastic and rubber parts look new as well as the polish and buffing out the shine! I get lots of compliments on my finished cars!

Beautiful Car Gentlemen! Great job cleaning it up. First car I ever owned was a 1950 Plymouth Coupe. I rolled over in that car on an icy road, and was amazed how little damage was done to the body. The metal must have been a lot thicker I suspect that in modern cars. Thank you for sharing this with us! Joe
