This was an awesome event, honored to be chosen to be a part of it. Still can’t believe I won the welder lol. Thanks JC for all the work you and everyone else out in to have this event. I learned a lot and would be happy to come back again!
I really enjoyed having you here. i would be happy to have you back anytime. in fact, soon i will be announcing a new project that i would love to have you be part of.
What an event you put together. Excellent work and a learning environment, too. Job well done, sir. This was a great idea and a success. Thanks for sharing with the rest of us.
Hope this was a great experience for you I am sure it took a lot of planning and additional work for you and Mrs.JC. Hopefully it was a worthwhile experience for all thanks for taking us along. Tom
Glad to see it turn out so good. You picked a great group of guys to do this project. They worked well together and turned out a great end product. And your one hell of a guy JC for putting this all together it was great working with you!
And that's why there will be no others like you J.C. Smith your goals for life are unmatched I'm just in aww and thank you for your service to the truckers community and for keeping the truckers dreams alive and well bless you always my friend and brother like no other💯💯💪👍👍❤️
Beautiful job to all of you guys!!!! Everything worked out perfectly!!!! This was awesome I was so anxious to see the video it was awesome you’re the best JC smith great group of guys you picked 😉
Looked like fun was had by all! I’m so glad it was a success. Plus the fact that you guys were able to get it back in the road in such a short amount of time is really cool.
Very well executed sir! It certainly looked like everyone learned a lot and had an enjoyable time. The giveaway at the end really tied it all together! Great videos and kudos for putting it all together! I enjoyed watching!
G'day J.C. Great episode, Always a treat to see nice people working together, However, what makes it all work is the mutual respect for each other, particularly for you JC , and of course the Lovely " Big Boss" , (Mrs JC). Thanks for sharing it with the faithful. Respect...!
Hey JC, thanks for the shout-out, i was happy to help in my own small way! Hopefully i can again in the future, on the next viewer event or project. Dont hesitate to reach out.
Well, the wheel base on this one here is a little short for an ambulance body …. And i almost think a “regular” 12,14 or 16” box would be better than an ambulance with all the strange cabinets and stuff …. You could do so much more with a blank canvas box that you lay out the way you want it ….
At 0:56 Pica-Dry heavy duty mechanical pencil, None better! White “leds” graphite leds several colors. Built in sharpener in the cap. You gotta get one. Maybe 2 in case your friend steals it from you.
A suggestion on doing a Raffle, you pick the ticket for the best prize first then the next best prize and so on, and put the tickets on the side. This way everyone has an equal chance to win the big prize. Then you announce the winners starting with the lowest prize to build suspense.
That was a lot of work in a couple days. Too bad you couldn’t have kept the guys there for another week or two to help with some of your other projects
@j.c.smithprojects makes sense I have a 6 speed manual and with heavy loads there is to much distance between gears. You inspire me to find a parts truck!
The final drive ratio was changed …. With the new axle with different gearing in it it can go even faster than 75 BUT top speed was not the goal it bringing the engine rom down do it becomes more fuel efficient and quieter inside while driving and keeping up with highway traffic effortless From the factory most military and fire trucks are geared for city or “off road” speeds …. Those type of vehicle typically dont exceed 50 or 55 mph …. And the engine will be redlining …. Now this truck has “highway gears”
@@ZILAwelds yeah the gears ⚙️ make a difference but I was thinking about the ride itself unless other stuff is changed too. The shorter the wheel base is the longer trailer will smooth out the ride somewhat. A single axle with a pup is brutal
@@kevinlamarr1424so i heard 😂 I didn’t go on the test drive … well …. JC is lengthening his c4500 from 60” cab to axle to 84 to improve his ride quality, Josh picked 60” cab to axle so it fits better in his driveway 🤷♂️
@@ZILAwelds I’m interested in how the final product turns out. I just like the fact that he had an idea and is actively trying to put it together while adapting to all the ups and downs along the way. That’s the interesting part of any build to me. @@kevinlamarr1424 well - to me personally 60" cab to axle screams : "bro dozer" ... those medium or heavy duty crew cab trucks with a "regular" 8 ft pickup truck bed .... Looks awesome (if you are into those looks) but has very little day to day usability ... rides rough (even with air suspension) till you put a ton or 2 in the bed or haul a heavy gooseneck trailer .... so I can appreciate the thought, however that is not the type of truck that I am looking to build for myself ... everybody has different needs and wants .... so no 2 guys build the same truck ....

The truck turned out nice 👍🏻
Why the short wheel base? That was very nice to open your shop up and the wonderful gifts. Congratulations!
Bless you 🙏
Awesome job guys..
👍
Great opportunity for everyone there
Love the event. Do it again
id like a crew cab like this, with an ambulance box and make an overlander out of it.

Can you explain what the De-ox is please, I’ve never seen that done before. Thank You

Tools he'll I want the 5ruck.
What transmission would you prefer in these FL Series Trucks? I've seen 9 speed, AUTO, and 6 speed?
if i am swapping a trans into one, i want a 10 speed.
@j.c.smithprojects makes sense I have a 6 speed manual and with heavy loads there is to much distance between gears. You inspire me to find a parts truck!
yep. cant make enough power to hold one gear. drop into a lower gear and your maxed out in rpm. cant gain speed and barely maintain.
What is that fantastic pencil you’re using ???
its called a "pica" pencil
You were supposed to blame the problems on me remember? Haha
Yes
no way. cant push my mistakes on someone who gave so much.
@@j.c.smithprojectsit was all in a good joking spirit.
We know you wouldn’t really blame anyone else …. It was the running joke of the weekend
What's the closest town to u?
75 mph seems a bit much for a truck like that unless I heard the guy wrong
