I struggled with whatever coating was on that radio sleeve. peter suggested a different filler and it did better. i am enjoying learning more about tig but boy do i have a long way to go. by the way, i really enjoy your videos.
Great video J.C.Smith really nice addition to this truck. Also like the back up camera and the way you set it up. Thanks for sharing stay safe Mr & Mrs J.C.Smith.
Nice video and upgrade from the AM/FM radio. I guess UHaul felt generous and didn’t just install the AM radio. 🤣 Forward facing camera is an absolute must have in a commercial truck. It saved me twice in my career. I was brake checked twice by cars on the Interstate and being able to show Highway Patrol what really happened was always fun.
Seeing that bolt on the frame as a ground gave me another flashback. LOL! A friend of mine was having weird happenings with his car. The blower motor would pulse with the turn signals, turn on a turn signal and the dome light flashed, stuff like that. I finally found a ground wire melted into the harness going to the back of the car. Only the ground was poofed so i lucked out there. What got me was the rest of the wires. On both ends they were the same color. But spliced in between was all sorts of random color wire. So after that nightmare a couple of months later he let me know it was acting up again. Instincts told me to run because i just knew it was that ground wire again. I stripped off the rocker plate and saw something i didn't find before. One of the screws had been run through the harness bundle and chafed a lot of the wires. Knowing for sure now what was wrong i buttoned it up. Negative. Hours later i found the culprit. The screw that was in the body in the trunk had lost its grip on the body but was pulling ground through the other 3 ground wires with it. Pissed i drilled a hole where i could put a bolt and nut along with those serrated washers. No more failed grounds. I never worked on any more Fiat cars either. Cheers Terry
i have bought and fixed more truck with electrical issues that people have gave up on than i have any any other issue. they are ALWAYS my most profitable trucks.
I have no idea why anyone would tell you that it would fit just like that. All those GM double DIMM units always need an installation kit and wiring hardness to adapt the OEM wiring…. We all know anything you make to adapt it in there will probably outlive the truck……👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
All drivers are different I like to here music when driven over twenty minutes drive than listen to a engine as a journey can get boring. Sometimes I like quiet to think things over .
That fuel economy Guage is something I haven't seen in those series trucks but every one I have seen has been diesel . Maybe that's a u haul thing to keep people from holding it to the floor the entire trip?
Thanks for the video, what’s going on with your silver ram 3500 jc? Remember you saying it needed some things when you bought that red one. Would be cool to see some videos on that when you get the time of course.
yes. when i fix my silver dodge, the red one will be sold. my silver dodge doesnt need alot. i just want to do everything i can while i have it apart so i wont need to revisit any repairs.
hello J.C you can get a wireless backup camera be easyer to fit ? a lot of people now use dashcams seen trucks channels here on YT showing how bad drivers are
Most cameras have a jumper which will "flip" the image making them forward facing. Not sure if you mention it in the video. I have ADD and if don't comment when I think about it, I will forget.
When the TIG comes out for a stereo install... Love it! This is turning out to be one nice rig.

Tim, I normally don’t watch RUclips shorts but this morning I had to watch all your high-speed footage Tig welding videos very interesting
