- IN PREPERATION FOR OUR VIEWER PARTICIPATION BUILD, I NEED TO MOVE SOME TRUCKS THAT DONT NEED TO BE HERE. THIS ONE BELONGS TO A FRIEND OF MINE. HE HAS CHANGED HIS MIND ON BUILDING IT. SO IT NEEDS TO GO TO HIS HOUSE. NOT AS EASY TO MOVE AS ONE WITH ALL WHEELS ROLLING BUT NOT A BIG DEAL.

That's a good idea on chaining the front axle to the bed and push it back. I have to remember that next time, so I don't have to drag my rollback out from underneath an old truck 🔧🔩
Get you a pulley block and double it back to the front axle for the trucks with locked rear brakes to reverse shove it off with the wench.
if the free spool worked on my winch, i would. takes too long to run it out far enough. i can push it and get it done faster.

When I drove Flat bed tow truck. We had a pulley with a chain attach to it, we used that when you had a vehicle that was on an angle so it would go on the bed straight, but we had a vehicle that wouldn't come off the bed, we would attach on the rear of the bed or wheel lift
with the cable in the pulley to pull the vehicle off.
I run a rollback for a friend that free roll is a pain in ass never easy

I use a snatch block and do reverse winching to get stuck vehicles off of the bed

this is my small 26ft rollback. the freightliner is 30ft. im not familiar enough with the old chain drives to know what you might have.
I had an opportunity to use a Landol type trailer. Where the axles would slide . It was a slick setup. Tractor had a big deleted n turned up ISX. Nice setup. To bad that company was a no go. Lol.
a landoll would be a great addition for me but not always the easiest to get into spots like this. acked down a narrow drive. around a garage one way, around an obstacle course of trucks, trailers and tanks. then the other way around the gas well.
@@j.c.smithprojects those slidebacks are nice but they attract to much attention. The creeper cops will mess with them even if their registered private. Commercial official isn't a road I'll ever go down again.to many monkeys on my back. Lol. I do enjoy driving those big trucks though.
creeper cops have absolutely no jurisdiction over this truck at all. we have to know the laws better than they do.

Get a snatch block and winch it off next time
i have a snatch block but the free spool doesnt work on the winch. it takes longer to run it out than it does to use the skates.
We use a snatch block from back of deck to front of truck
freespool doesnt work. if it did, a snatch block would be faster.
You should tilt the camera so it looks like it's rolling down hill backwards.
Whats the deal with the front mounted muffler?
moved to the front to avoid accidental ignition of fuel vapors as it was used to fuel air planes.
I didn't know air was that heavy... think i'll let some air out of my tires...LOL

I only drive on flat tires, this helps me to reduce unsprung mass ….
