Don't forget the gearbox, it's air shifts the transfer road drive shaft to pump gear. You will need new drive shaft and carrier bearing and cross member. The pump module you will have out in less than 3 hours. The pump gear box attaches to the auto lube on the pump impeller. Have an enjoyable weekend project.
We sound a bit excited on this one Mr J.C ! That because we off to a good start decent used good to go (hopefully ) parts but just he's thought of some of the differences and you might have refresh serviceable items but yeah good start and fired up can't wait 👍
The pumps on the fire trucks I work on make 600 psi and some are high pressure pumps that make 800psi and that electro magnet brake is more than likely a telma brand and there’s 4 stages typically stages one and two come on when the throttle is released and all 4 stages come on when braking and it is very efficient. They are also on the ambulances in the fleet here as well but smaller.
Years back the company I worked for had a truck with a TELMA magnebrake set up…it had a lot of issues so we removed it….not a bad idea you doing the same
I would love to have international durastar currently better with the cab and steering wheel only. I may mount it on a custom frame and cut the cab to add a sleeper. This is my pipe dream. They had the looks. Today's MVs look like VW got a hold of it.

You're right that's a lot of work to do even before the project really starts. You got this! Can't wait to see the build.😄

Nice! Looking forward to your next video. Thanks for sharing Mr & Mrs J.C.Smith.
Great timing. I see a lot of municipalities sell off of their firetrucks. I'm sure everyone thinks how would I modify it to be a usable work truck.
That's gonna be really awesome when it's done. Can't wait to see the video
With regard to that pump, each 2.5" discharge off the main body of the pump is good for 250 g.p.m.

I know the owner to the fire truck and he's one of the most motivated people I've ever seen and I'm self employed
yeah buddy! he is a worker for sure!
Now this is going to be an amazing project, was this truck governor at 62? Or just the gearing is that slow ?
Looks like a fun project.
Is it a lot of work that's a lot of work?
I know you can get it done

Nice truck, I live in Houston and I have some trucks that I want to sell but don’t know what they are worth. Can you help me?
Holy Moses, that’s what, 70 hours worth of work to shrink into 20?
myself, peter, my son, my friend justin plus the 4 viewers. it will be tight but we will push hard.
Wow, she doesnt look that old.
Highhway speed is 65. Why does he need more than that in a tank. What is his gas guzzling hurry?
dont know where you live but its 70mph in ohio and higher in many of the flat states.
Holy Moses, that’s what, 70 hours worth of work to shrink into 20? And that’s not including the painting we know you’re going to do 🤔
