Love your video here. Ive been collecting embroidered linens, hankies, sheets, doilies that are vintage for 22 years. At the time nobody liked vintage. Was told i wasn’t cool forever. My mom says if its ugly my daughter would love it. Was so easy to find vintage when i was 15. Now its so challenging and so over priced. Its the cool thing now. I always wanted to make clothing. Now its all over the place. But im still scared of using them to make things 🙈 i don’t want to ruin them til i am better at sewing. Like you dont sleep on vintage sheets. For me its pillow cases i hate using because sometimes my hair dye will rub off. And for sheets. My dog stains them. So I totally understand. I will have to check your other videos! Thank you!

I hung sheets by using 2 lines. It would look like a balloon. But the sheets would be dry before the next load was ready to hang. Shirts, I'd hang upside down. Pants, by the hems, matching the seams and one pant leg on each line. They'd dry in no time.

I love watching videos like this it reminds me of my childhood. I use to help my grandmother wash and hang clothes .we use to have the washing machines where you would pass the clothes through the ringer to get the excess water out and one time my fingers got stuck in there. Boy did it scare me That was an experience. But I continued to wash and hang clothes it was a must but I loved it. Now im 58 and I asked son to please make me a clothes line. Thank you so much for memories ❤️

I live in Illinois and I even use a clothes line every day all year I don't even have a dryer .. I even like dry in the middle of winter

I have one from 1939 and it’s in great condition and super big! and had the paper insert in pieces inside so I pieced it like a puzzle and laminated it. 😄

Not necessarily holiday related but your general ideas and process. Sorry to hear you lost your Opa and Omma. Losing both in the same year is extra sad but proves how much they loved each other.

What? I was wondering why you haven't posted! I loved the apple orchid house but you have to be happy! I hate that you fixed up the house and he decided to sell. That sucks! I don’t know if you’ve thought about talking about your relationship in a video, but if you are comfortable with that I would be very interested in hearing about it. My daughter married a woman this summer. She had only dated men previously. I am worried about this for her, as it came after a lot of trauma in our family ( a s u I c ide followed three weeks later by my dad’s death after four years with dementia.).
