    38:32 Creatine - helps with strength and ATP, which is also important for aerobic exercise (edit: like endurance/distance running) and recovery. ❤️‍🩹

      Just remember Aerobic would be more distance running or sprints with very very short rest cycles.

      That’s usually about right for most people. Just concentrate on the key terms from there. People use index cards for memorization, test yourself, anything to keep the concepts in your head.

      Obviously everyone is different in their needs, but I will say that many of my students have passed by using the book and these video resources. It also depends on your comfort of grasping the materials. I hope this helps @janette499 !!!

    This might help someone find their predicted zones and vt1/vt2 without the vo2max machine using the formulas… NASM website said and gave the intensity of all the zones based on a study. They are zone intensity= Very light less than 57% intensity Zone 1 = 57-63% Zone 2 = 64-76% Zone 3 = 77-95% Zone 4 = 96-100% HR max = 208- .7x age (HR max - resting HR)x intensity + resting HR = targeted HR VT2 intensity= 76% VT1 intensity = 57% Now find your resting heart rate (radial pulse 6secs and #beats x10) and you can calculate the predicted heart rate zones 1-4 bpm. It will help when doing the talk test and RPE for you and clients. Remember this is a prediction. Good luck to everyone only 8 chapters to go (:

    This by far is the biggest memorization chapter. Honestly I feel like NASM should put your videos at the start of every chapter, with a few other creators videos to follow along with. I couldn’t thank you enough so far for making these lessons, so it’s not all textbook understanding. I do believe NASM should also split the exams in 2, and make sections 1-3 and 4-6. It’s a lot of information to take in and absorb. Also that 2 chapters a week is ridiculous. If you want to truly understand the information it should be a lesson a week starting from chapter 5. I really think NASM did an amazing job teaching everything to really apply and understand it. Regardless thank you so much for what you done.
