  • Chapter 4 of the 7th edition of the NASM Essentials of Personal Fitness Training manual talks about the behavioral coaching and the psychology of changing how a person sees exercise. The aspects of goal setting, building self-efficacy, and increasing adherence of exercise is critical in increasing client performance.
