After I got a jb psvita and loaded it with 256gbs of games, I couldn't stop playing burnout legends for months. Desire to play other titles burnt out :p Whenever I switch on my psvita, I have to play one sesh of road rage! I love how one can quickly jump into gameplay. Great soundtrack! Thanks for the video. I'm excited to try Burnout Revenge on my jtag 360 which I didn't know existed. Didn't like playing Paradise on the 360 so def gonna try Revenge now. Many thanks!!!

Great video. I picked up the series with 3, and share a lot of your opinions! One thing I do feel differentiated 3 and Revenge was the difficulty level - I felt that traffic check made the game a lot easier, and very much changed that knife-edge feel of dodging traffic that 3 had. I also sort of slept on Paradise for a while when it came out, but at some point it clicked and may be my favorite in the series now , especially with the remasters. The handling is so good, all the cars feel unique. The sense of speed and danger is crazy, and the crashes have so much momentum and look incredible . And I had a great time exploring the map for the collectibles. The parking garage mini-platforming puzzles were a ton of fun. The map is really well thought out in general. And learning the city and the best routes really rewarded you the more you played. The more time I spent with paradise, the more I loved it. I still play it every couple months.

Paradise City is the best one imo. It's not just the graphics, but the mechanics were really improved. Not to mention the huge amount of content and stuff you can do. If you wanted to platinum the game on PS3 you had to clear each street's time trial and crash score! Also, the opening song is by Guns N' Roses!

As a 8 year old, paradise determined my music taste at the time, and my love for cars, and rebuilding them

only played 3, revenge and paradise as those were the games on ps2/ps3 when i was a kid 🤣🤣🤣

Burnout Takedown all the way

PSP Burnout Legends was a m a z i n g! Incredible fun. DS version looks like they stole it from an arcade machine.

2 things extra about Takedown: 1- The only drawback was the rubberband was insane even if you you're really ahead. 2- YEAH! The DJ in English was a little cringy, meanwhile the one i had a chuckle off was the Spanish one (since the version i play has a language selection and since my native language is Spanish, that is the version i play), since it has some more humor with how hyped up the guy sounds. It doesn't help the Voice Actor been doing a lot of other Spanish dubs in the past.

Burnout 2 gang rise up (Its the only one I had as a kid)

Video just popped into my recommended. Watched the whole video and noticed Dangerous Driving wasn't an honourable mention as it was made to resemble the old Burnout games. If you see this give it a go as I enjoyed it

Which ever was the fast and furious inspired burnout was thee best. It was fast and absolutely manic!

Revenge was second to Takedown for me, as the traffic check mechanic and events seemed like a gimmick in an attempt to innovate gameplay. It also lowered the skill ceiling, which didnt feel as exhilarating as avoiding all traffic. I also didn't like the lack of freeplay and the crash events were not as good. But the shortcut/aerial system was fun and I wish they kept the demarcation for shortcuts in Revenge for Burnout Paradise, as you essentially had to memorize shortcuts and their exits on Paradise's map, which was huge, and one wrong shortcut could send you into a closed off area or travelling the wrong direction. Takedown just felt perfect; the sense of speed, the brake-to-drift smoothness, the colorful and nostalgic environments, the carnage, the soundtrack, the Y2K menus, the replayability. I've always said that if Need For Speed's brake-to-drift felt like Takedown's, the game would be far more fun, albeit less realistic, although NFS games never really were to begin with. Takedown and Revenge's B2D just felt so damn good to play.

Burnout Paradise city had Bikes!

I could not get into Paradise. The open world just killed the game for me. It felt like the menu driven setup was faster to get to the action and that’s what I loved about the series: raw speed.

Burnout paradise was my childhood. From playing on my wii when it first came out, to the ps3 when it came out. That game had my attention for hours and hours on end. Doing the take down events were one of my favorite pass times, and playing as an adult I enjoyed the racing events much much more. God everything about the game, the progression, environment, everything was bliss. Always nostalgic to come back to it, but somehow I’ve never tried BOP3 It’s certainly on my to do list!

Burnout was something else on the og Xbox. One of the few games back then that felt really like 60 fps. Also Burnout Paradise and NfS Most Wanted are the best open World and best games of their kind. Ohh yeah and love the video. Really love youtubers that tests whole series and give opnions on them

Anyone know about a flash game in the burnout series? I used to play it and loved it but haven’t heard anything abt it in a while. Lots of nostalgia there and hope it’s not lost!

Burnout 3, the Underground to Pro Street NFS.. no modern games beat those banger collections of iconic songs.

Burnout Revenge is my childhood. I will always love that game and I keep on going back to it.

Burnout 3 is better than revenge purely because of traffic checking. It ruins a critical balance mechanic in burnout because instead of having to take risk by driving into oncoming traffic you can just cruise in the right lane ramming trough traffic to earn boost.

First place burnout 3, I hated the non destructive traffic in revenge🤷. Close second paradise I somehow loved it and the first crash I had on my PS3 looked so amazing, only bmg drive has better visuals for destructive cars😅

I wish paradise had 3's modes would love to play online road rage again

THE HAMMER! I loved this system where your cars built personality with the damage they heroically accumulated over time. I really wish Wreckfest used the same single player design as TD: EoD. Just extend the hubworld and event season, and then maybe make multiple seasons possible, like a sports game's dynasty mode, in order to provide unlimited possibilities in terms of how many seasons you could go, until you run out of money or cars, or become the undisputed champ.

27:13 One reason you might find this game more palatable now, is that since release, they updated the game... with a RETRY RACE option! That's right, when Paradise first released, if you failed a race, you had to drive all the way back to the intersection in order to try it again. In a game where memorizing the route is more important than ever, where you will lose because of wrong turns and want to take what you've learned and try again, the most optimal use of your time would have been to take a different race, and race back to the race you want to retry. Needless to say I did not finish this game because of that terrible design flaw.

Don’t forget you can unlock five hidden characters in this game, and this is the order you’d want to unlock them in; first you’d want to unlock Sebulba ( Episode 1 with his original pod designs from the movie ), Darth Maul, Watto, Young Anakin ( with original designs for his pod from the movie ), and Darth Vader.

I absolutely loved this game. Custom soundtracks was a nice touch
