- Manhunt had enough success, despite the controversy, to get a sequel in 2007. Manhunt 2 marks a rare L in Rockstar's reign of incredible games in the 2000s to the early 2010s. Join me as I rant about it for 11 minutes.

I loved manhunt 2! I might be one of the only ones. Admittedly number one is the better game but 2 for me had THEE most memorable level from the two games, which was sexual deviants. The dark club music, gritty dirty horrific seedy atmosphere where you’d be getting a lap dance on a chair full of sperm and blood, unclean. And when you eventually get downstairs the music turns into an anxiety ridden pots and pans smashing style type of music which completely fits the narrative of a complete psycho mutilating people, alongside the cameras inside the torture rooms and the “dungeon” feel to it.
That was one of the better levels for sure. I think the game just went off the rails later on.
I always felt like the melee in the first was more balanced, both with the grapple attack & how you don't quite get stunlocked the Same way you do in 2
The first game in general felt more fluid and intuitive to play.
manhunt 2 was a bit shorter than manhunt but the story was great and the gameplay went smooth without being stuck in a level
What version of the game did you play? I got stuck multiple times on the PC version.

@@cornelims7441 Interesting. I had quite a few issues with the PC version I talk about in the video.
the only thing i loved about manhunt 2 is its realistic executions, you aren't some inhumanely powerful person, and the enemy wants to live, as seen by how both of you battle and fight in most of these killings, using all of your strength to try to survive. And I also liked that Manhunt 2 had SOME disturbing sequences like in the mission "Sexual Deviants", it reminded me of the horror movie; "Hostel". If Manhunt 1 had these executions, it would've been superb. I just wish that Manhunt 2 was a follow up on the first one, it would've been cool If we actually were a different protagonist that was held against his will by Mr. Nasty or something.
I love this game. I play it on insane difficulty with out a radar. So i wouldn't get your critique on constantly running in circles and watching the radar as you run away from the enemy. I try not to get spotted by the enemy. I also hide the bodies i kill so the enemy doesn't discover them, get nervous, then start doing frantic out of nowhere 180 turns like you mentioned.
Also you dont have to auto lock. You can free aim. It really gets suspenseful trying to free aim and line up a headshot as youre being shot.
I also know how to sneak past the dog in the lab, took me a while to figure it out.
Did you play the game on PC? I'm realizing some of the issues I may have experienced in this playthrough for the video may have been PC-specific bugs. Not 100% sure tho.
Manhunt 2 is amazing. Way better than the first.

The only thing disappointing to me is I can’t play it on Xbox. I don’t wanna go to my buddy’s house to play his PlayStation 😂😂
True! That's such a bizarre choice to skip the Xbox, or even the 360.

True, I just expect more out of sequels, not less.
Manhunt 2 with the rage engine would be so amazing.
to be honest manhunt 2 is a bit more violent because there is uncut which is uncensored

@@NoMooreMercyTV some other great classics popped up in my mind right now, check out max payne 1 & 2, 3 is also really good, but it's a newer title compared to 1 & 2 and you will probably prefer the old ones, because you seem to like to review classux games, which is really cool, to bring light to forgotten games, or to bring nostalgia to some people, who haven't heard about these games for years

If the lore was fleshed out more and not rushed, I feel it could have been better than the first.
I think it just tried to do too much and that was ultimately it's downfall. The first game was much more straight forward.

I always felt that Manhunt 2 gets a lot of unwarranted hate. While the first one will always be superior, I felt that part ii was a more than worthy sequel. Dark storyline, brutal executions, and an atmospheric soundtrack (Origins music, for instance). It could’ve been a lot worse.
