Red Dead Revolver is a classic and still stands up today as a good solid game.
Never played it, thought I might play it and now it's added to the list of games that I need to play 😂😂 also this video seems really well made I was honestly surprised it hasn't gotten more likes

Red Harlow is not Uncle.
It was a great game and Red as a protagonist is the reason we have John and Arthur but out of all 3 Red dead games. Nothing will ever top what Red dead redemption 1 did for the western genre in Games.
(And yes, I believe RDR2 was the overall best well made game out of the 3) but where revolver opened the door. RDR1 blew the door off the fuckin hinges so RDR2 run through the gap where door once was

We need a remake of this
couple months back I knew so little about both red dead universes and during my first playthrough of RDR2, I caught a quick glimpse of Red Dead Revolver in the PS store and thought that it was a hard rip off of the Redemption series. Up until now, I've seen so many videos on Revolver and after this video, I'm actually thinking of trying it. Beautiful video and condolences to your late Grandfather

@@NoMooreMercyTV The strat I had to use was Escopeta or any other long barreled shotgun combined with barrelstuffing the bosses with deadeye. It shreds them quick if all the pellets hit. That and once you get the Scorpion Revolver it’s much easier.

Love westerns as well RDR1 and 2 really capture what makes westerns so great. Fun factRockstar actually wanted this to be open world but ran out of time. So they focused on getting this out the door so they Could work on redemption.

Also, I've enjoyed soo much this game before and idk what it is that I'll never dislike it: maybe as I get older I get to value it even more for the fact it is so much fun and I can still play it, even better that It's RC now with newer consoles.

I remember on how much I used to play this game, heck! I've even played with my cousins and did a sort of play with this hahaha.

red dead redemption 2 was the best,but still outlaw has a special place in my heart, songs,multi with friends
No doubt about Redemption 2 being the best in the series. It completely changed my view of how detailed a video game can be. It's funny because before it's release, I didn't know how they would top the first one!
Rockstar must of seen how good Neversoft’s Gun video game was an said why didn’t we do an open world western game 😄

@@NoMooreMercyTV I know man, I would of loved to of seen what the teased sequel macgruder’s ghost could have been like for 5 years I didn’t see a single open world cowboy game do it like gun until Red dead redemption came out an I gotta say rockstar definitely took inspiration from what come before an excelled on what neversoft did an done it better but gun for me will always have a place in my heart over revolver cuz I’m ngl I’ve still got both of these on the old Xbox an I must of got quarter or halfway through revolver an it crashed on me at the saloon fight with a big guy if I remember correctly an then I stopped playing it not to say I didn’t enjoy because it was good but because I played gun before it an it was the newer game at the time I was expecting gun out of revolver an because it was a rockstar game I thought maybe revolver would be better but for me it actually weren’t still I’d play it again today an with updated graphics not the most minding blowingly detailed ones like RDR2 I think it’d be even greater
@@bfields5516 I believe there was a GUN sequel in the works, I remember seeing ads in Gameinformer for it, I think? But anyway, such a shame what Activision did to Neversoft. I'll never forgive them for turning them into a Call of Duty studio and then axing them. With that said, Redemption definitely took inspiration from GUN and they made an excellent game. I love all of the Red Deads & GUN.

Whenever I see a video on RUclips about Red Dead Revolver I wanna share a glitch I encountered back in the day. I can never remember how to replicate it, but in the first "open-area" of the game, the town of brimstone, I encountered a glitch which would double the size of an NPC's head everytime you talked to them. This resulted in me running around the town of brimstone with most of the NPC's heads taking up the entire skybox with floating eyes and floating mouths too.

I disagree that this game doesn't need a remaster, mostly because it's not on steam or the PC Xbox store.

Actually playing this with a friend right now on the ps2. Good game for its time, challenging and fun to play. Looking this vid I am afraid it is going to take ages at the mansion :P.
I beat most of the missions first try but the mansion took me about 30-40 minutes to complete. It was a real PITA!

@@NoMooreMercyTV I hope so. I think you’ll do great in the following year. Also as a tip that I would personally recommend (you don’t have to follow it) I would work on thumbnails. You nail your editing but I just think you could improve thumbnails a little bit.
Oh no I appreciate the constructive criticism, what sort of things would you like to see in the thumbnails done differently?
@@NoMooreMercyTV When you place the video game’s title in the thumbnail the small video length bar in the bottom right covers the title up. I’d place that in a different area. With a few thumbnails there’s a lot going on in it, and it’s difficult to find out what’s happening so I’d stick to maybe using less effects, but enough to fill out the thumbnail. I just wouldn’t place anything important at the bottom right that’s usually a no-go place. I think it’s fine you stick to artwork from the game for the thumbnails as well, but capturing a screenshot from the game and creating something from scratch could work as well. That’s your choice though. Some of the thumbnails are maybe a little too bland and could possibly use a brighter artwork or picture. I’d personally watch a few videos and look at other creators thumbnails. That’s what I did. Early this year. I’m no expert, but I hope any word I said could help you even the slightest bit.
I'd say that's a fair assessment, regarding the bottom right bit I mean. Problem is, if I'm using the artwork, the logo text just doesn't look right at the top. I prefer using the artwork because its a recognizable image, there's zero chance of clickbait and I despise thumbnails that are full of neon colored giant text. I only use screenshots if the cover art looks bad zoomed in, like Manhunt for example. I'll mess around in Photoshop later and see what I can conjure up. Thanks again for the suggestion.
i personaly played it on series x and the console freezing didnt happen to me nor any frame rate issues but thats prob from the series x being so beefy
I'm jealous! I'll have to get one eventually. I think I read somewhere that Microsoft patched a lot of these games to run at higher frame rates and resolutions, that's so cool! Is it sad I want a Series X just for the retro games? 😂

I think less remaster and full on remake. Maybe 2 games. I think the redemption stories are kinda done, maybe they could do just one more redemption game with Charles or Sadie. But other than that I think it’d be awesome to move on from ‘redemption’ to a new red dead R-something, keep the theme going a bit lol. I’d be all in on a revolver full on remake.
I'd be down for a remake, but I want it to be as wacky and weird as this one was. I'm not sure they'd be able to pull it off anymore sadly.
Dan houser said when RDR2 came out he would do another one of they had something meanful to say. I think civial war could make for a fantastic redemption. Sadie is great but not sure how you would make a redemption Story.
I was under the impression Red Dead Revolver was made by a different studio that rockstar bought the rights to in order to make their western version of GTA?
You are partially correct, so the story is that Angel Studios was working on a western game for Capcom, but it was in an unfinished state. Rockstar had a previous relationship with Angel, they developed Smuggler's Run & Midnight Club for them. Rockstar bought out Angel Studios in late 2002 and renamed the studio Rockstar San Diego. They were then going through their unfinished projects and that western game caught the Houser's attention, so they decided to fund and finish it. That game later became Red Dead Revolver.
The reason why it's so campy and silly is most likely because Red Dead Revolver was actually a Capcom game originally.
Yep! It was unfinished when Rockstar originally bought out Angel Studios, which later became Rockstar San Diego.

I have a little question. How did you get your first views on YT? Did you share your vid with your friends or on your social media or did it happen in itself? Cause I figured that your first video always absolutely DEAD. If you're beginning your journey on youtube and you post your 1st video, then even if you search for it writing word for word THE EXACT title of your video, it would show you some vaguely related videos by someone with more subs and likes but not your video.
Even if you get some whacky title like "GTA - This game would fly you around Africa and back to your place" and you write exactly THAT in the search bar, YT would just show you some over 500k views videos related to GTA, but not your vid.

The key to growth on RUclips from what I've seen is consistency, I try to share a new video every week and so the algorithm has picked up my channel and shares my content among the gaming crowd. I'm really new to this too, if you check my channel my earliest videos barely have any views, but that was also before I got picked up from the algorithm. I shared my first few videos among friends, and also among gaming websites (like backloggd) that may have an interest in watching a video review.
