Yeah, sound design could use a lot of work however. The weapon sounds especially feel very weak and monotonous across the board.

So far it looks like we've got Vespid with their standard neutron blasters, what looks like a neutron-upgraded railrifle, and some kind of rocket launcher, also shooting the green neutron energy. That new helmet on the Vespid looks great too!
It's probably a communion helmet or whatever they call them so that they keep contact with the Ethereals. Not a T'au expert in any way so people can feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
@@Imfil it’s less for keeping in contact with the ethereals and more so for talking and understanding Tau, Kroot and other auxiliary members of the tau empire.
There is a chance however that I am wrong tho.
@@dogmeat1414 no you're right, Vespid mouths cannot make the sounds needed to speak directly to Tau so they use helmets with built in translation software.
I believe the reason flr the explosion wasn't a rocket launcher, but that there were some Promethium barrels
It's both. In the lore, the Tau had issues communicating with Vespids due to their societal structure being too different to the Tau. After the helmet was developed to communicate with the quees of the Vespid, the previously hierarchical hive society suddenly gave it up to help the Tau.
This trailer made me want to buy more plastic men

It is so cool to see two regular Sci-Fi Armies clash in Warhammer 40K. Great Trailer. The Vespid scenes gave me Halo 3 ODST Flashbacks.

Apparently not an airbursting fragmentation projector (thank god) but a neutron-based derivative. Considering how ass indirect is this edition it better not be that
Extra eyes are for thermal and a few other vision options. Makes it near impossible to hide from them
The last part with the Scion who despite losing an arm and having an injured leg continues to fight generated more dopamine in my brain than ever

Yeah, the streamlined Tau style helmet and the more refined heads were the only changes I wanted and I think they delivered. Unless the models are badly executed somehow I think this box set will be great.
Holy cow, quite a bit to love here. That giganto "screw your continent" gun in the background, the dark comedy of that poor Fire Warrior just flopping over like the Kreiger did against the Orks, and OH MY GOODNESS THOSE BUGS ARE SEXY. New helmets and armor that actually tie them aesthetically into the T'au, new guns including what looks like a rail rifle, and they actually kinda look like proper bugs now. Kinda give me the vibes of Hopper from "A Bug's Life".
Dang it, now I need them.

@@HebrewHammer1337 they use AI plenty... like the machine spirits in tarantula turrets to the Deathstorm Drop Pods which auto targets hostiles within area...
So it would be more accurate to say that 'sentient' AI is banned in the Imperium, while the lower level AI is either directly or indirectly allowed with a different name ie: machine spirits.
Of course in practice some machine spirits are basically 'sentient' but hey... this is the Imperium we're talking here.
And if 'sentient' capable AI is really required in a machine that can fit it... there's always the servitor route.

When grilling a steak, you can start by cooking it over high heat to sear it, then move it to a lower heat to prevent it from drying out. This technique is called indirect grilling. For example, you can sear a 1-inch steak for 3-4 minutes per side over direct, high heat, then move it to indirect heat until it reaches your desired internal temperature. You can also try reducing the heat to low on one side of the grill so you can move the steak around and get color.

Despite trailer being just pure awesomeness, I can't grudge the fact that instead of making Harakoni or Elysian Drop Troops, GW just made Scions with grav-shutes
Elysian drop troops are boring and it would have been a waste considering how uninspired they look. Plenty of other way more unique and interesting regiments that deserve the spotlight over essentially "cadians with jetpacks".
Agreed, plus I'd rather see already existing regiments get fleshed out more instead just having a single unit from a bunch of disjointed regiments

Let's be real here...Tau not precise enough to eliminate that aerial drop thingy, but it can eliminate them in turn is a fantasy
In fact they have done it, they have killed a huge number of tempestus that have entered their territory
Praying to the Machine God that the new Scions have the jump packs as an OPTION and we can still build them on foot from that kit.
It'll probably be a similar thing to tau fire warriors where you can add them but it's not a part of the torso. So I imagine no ones gonna argue if you prefer the new sculpts and just don't choose the jump packs.
I gotta say, seeing Vespids in a cinematic truly made me happy. I guess most of us have come to love the Tau after all. I wish they showed some Kroot warriors.
