Ah well apparently there are two trains of thought here; 1st is that there is a chemical reaction to a human entering the car which disrupts the gas and chemical balance of the vehicle whilst stationary, there is the sudden change in oxygen levels as the human breathes it in then replaces that with carbon dioxide. Then there is the gas level differential, which of course is dependant upon the individual driver, a higher level of methane of course is resultant in how much of a shithead they are! Forgot to say that Ashbourne has one place that 90% of drivers fail at, lorry and car drivers, bottom of Buxton Hill. After passing the last parked car I always pull back to the left in case a lorry is coming up around the corner, most drivers and it seems all car and van drivers try to straight line it from the last car to the junction, even when the traffic is hardly moving, to do so they cross the white line even though they have six feet to the curb on the nearside! Many have to put on full left lock to get over out of the way of lorries coming up Buxton hill. A simple thing that nearly every driver misses, really annoys me anyway! 🤦‍♂😡

Hello Kevin oh I missed that one Air head Taxi Driver. On seeing that bump again I can see the man to the side of the silver car rubbing his neck too, whiplash is a massive claiming tool, can't really be proven, so easy money for the unscrupulous. Stan had just been shunting to get out the bottom of that layby, obviously reversing was not his strongpoint. We always used to carry chains too but these days it's heavy duty tow strap. Fantabulous is a real word, well it is according to Google and it's hardly ever used, I like it! Most of these horse riders have less sense than the horses they ride. The old woman with a stick reminded me of the aggressive old woman on a cycle in Stockport who used a chain with a padlock to swing at passing cars she deemed had got to close, she then put it back around her neck and carried on. The stuff we take to the fields is Lime, not to be confused with burnt lime this is just Limestone rock which is ground up to less than 3mm. It is used to raise the Ph level of the soil. Raising the Ph level means that it is better for grass or crops, with the exception of potatoes that needs a much lower Ph level. If fertilizer is used the higher level of Ph makes it work better getting more from the fertilizer. We live in what is described as the White Peak of the Peak District National Park and the limestone here is some of the best quality in Europe. Trucks from lots of different countries in Europe load from our area everyday. It is also used in many other things from animal feeds to tooth paste! Have a fantabulous week yourself too. Still in Scotland mate start heading south later making a two day journey of it. Don't put off going to Scotland, I made my first proper trip here in 2017 on my bike and realised I'd wasted a lot of time not getting here before. Met an English couple from Cambridgeshire yesterday who have been touring Scotland every year for 30 years and they still had a list of places they've not seen yet. 👍😁

Hello Colin we've had a bit of rain but it certainly hasn't detracted from the fantastic time we're having. Beautiful and warm this morning near Forres but soon we'll have to travel back down to reality! I've been competing in the Scottish National Road Rally since 2017 but these last few years we've turned it into an 8 day trip as well, well why wouldn't you with such stunning scenery. 👍😁

@@Peakwanderer We've had a lot of changeable weather but you need to get up here as I realised I'd wasted a lot of time not coming here back in 2017 when I rode up from home and rode the main coast of Scotland from the south west all around to the south east at Berwick on Tweed. 1956 miles in less than 4 days. Seen lots of bikes today in some appalling rain, so pack your wet gear just in case!

Hello mate well as you asked last weekend was a 385 mile route on the National Rally on Saturday I had planned a route for Sunday taking in the north coast but thick fog on the 50 mile return to our accommodation from loch ness really put me off and as I'd already done enough to claim a 3 nations award we had a long lie in, until lunchtime! Hello there, over the years I have tried to send really shocking stuff to the Police and even following all the stupid rules, Manchester for instance insists on 4 minutes of pre-incident dash cam footage and six months not releasing it on social media, just for no action to be taken. So now I don't bother, especially when the Police have departments that pick up stuff from social media, including YT to prosecute for themselves. Thank you for the comment.

Hello mate, house building there since 2019 and now even more land is being opened there so looks like a few more years there yet. This site is so big it even has it's own ring road system! And it's not the only one in Stafford, we are delivering to 3 major ones there at the moment. All the best.
