A Thing of Beauty is a Joy Forever! Whether it's Sunday, Monday or any other day of the week. I am of course referring to Lottie - well done. I have no comments on the beauty of the rest of the introduction. 😃
Hello Don is that quote your own at the start? Less said about the rest of the introduction the better! Lottie is my go to bike for long rides and has served me fantastically well on all of the National Rallies in each country, never had less than a Gold. Scottish is the next one in September. Thank you for commenting have a good week Don.
@@cloudmaker Apparently I am more 'cultured' than I knew. It's from a 1818 poem by John Keats, according to Google. As Michael Caine did/did not say - not a lot of people know that. I certainly did not.
5:18 Very surprising to see him take that turn. It's bad enough getting a car through when there's parked cars there. Although there is a factory further down that lane, on a turn before Clifton. Great video as usual 🙂
Ah that might have been why then, still been better coming in the other end though if that was where he was heading. Glad you liked it. All the best. 👍😁😁
What a twat at 11:00 - told by a pedestrian and shown the sign, yet she's going right no matter what! Fool in front of you let her in - reinforcing that behavior. Let the cars in the lane she blocked bib her mercilessly!! Thorncliff looks so beautiful, all nestled in the rolling hills. That was a beautiful ride, but definitely steep and narrow! Glad you and Lottie got the gold and had a great ride!!
Hello there, Thorncliffe is certainly a lovely little place, but don't think I'd want to live there. That hill is certainly steep that's for sure. About 30 years ago my brother and I, both in our respective trucks, tried going up there to get home, it was clear in the village but by the time we crested the top of the hill we were bursting through 3 feet high snow drifts, how we made it home I'll never know, we were very lucky that night. Lottie has never let me down and she is so comfortable to ride, however this time I did notice a few aches creeping in to my old body, arms and buttocks to be precise! Don't know if it is my physical fitness, or lack thereof, or simple old age and the inevitable march of time. Thank you for watching and commenting. Have a lovely week.
Posting a day late is better than no vid at all....... You're not in any danger of having no content to upload, mate - not unless STUPIDITY suddenly gets cured 🤣🤣🤣 Fat chance of that. You can only do that to Pork 🥩 as it cannot be educated lmfao.
Your mannerism whilst driving your "wagon" , reminds me very much of my late mothers second husband John Powell(Johnny Airbrake), who also drove a wagon around England, he sadly too is no longer with us , they lived in the black country in a town named Wednesbury, I used to love going over to visit them from Ireland, been only over once now since both passed away 😢
Hello Karl, Johnny Airbrake sounds like a good CB handle. Lots of good men, and women, have gone before us to be sure. Only just lost my Dad last month (Double Decker) so named as he always had a few of us in the cab! We do a few deliveries around the black country, used to be there regular years back in the 80-90's. Thank you for the comment Karl.

Hey there Tuga, as you mentioned Skipton I had a lovely meeting with two Scottish competitors as I was signing in at 18.10 on Saturday night at Route 59 Café. We met back in May and shared ice creams in west Wales back then so it was a nice surprise to see them again. After this we were all doing Halifax, Barnsley and Hatfield near Doncaster to end day 1. Got home at 10.35pm then left at 6.30 Sunday to start day 2. Needless to say there was a few aching bits on Sunday night! Have a great week as well Tuga. All the best.

Great video as always mate, firstly don’t think much of the tanker driver. If your driving something that dangerous you’ve gotta be bloody good. Wouldn’t want to meet that hgv driver on that narrow street either 😂. And I think the same thing winds you up that winds me up, when people overtake and then put the breaks on, life why did you overtake in the first place and I’m not even driving a truck 🤣. Have a great weekend mate and stay safe 😃👍

Hello Neil yes a rare moment caught on camera! Thank you for the comment. By the way met a lovely chap on Saturday who also shared your surname. Are you related to any artists living in Cumbria?
8:08 float/lowlaoder ramp: now if you hit it right, and at the speed, you could have gone through there on ya left side wheels with no need to slow down 😇
Like the bike. Did you low fly to the meet? I was hoping a german car/range rover would be passing by when the cattle were having a shit. Poetic justice since the drivers are usually shitting on us. Old bike trick when you had no brakes was to put your foot on the rear wheel. Did you do that or chicken out and use exhaust brake/retarder? No dig at your driving, just stirring the pot. Stay safe and thanks for the great videos.
Hello Jamie, that bike is one of the best I've ever had, so comfortable you can ride all day and night in some cases. Never used that old bike trick of using your foot to brake, we always had good brakes! I always make good use of the exhaust or engine brakes on whichever truck I'm driving as we have some big hills around here and I like to save my brakes for those just in case moments. All the best.
Awesome video. The start made me laugh. Did Rex enjoy watching the tarmac men.?? Would that lorry have to back all the way out of that little road?? I’ve seen somethings come off backs of lorries but never runny 💩 lol 😂.
Rex always loved the tarmac men, and also the women that are on the game, sorry that should read in the game! 😉😂🤣🤣 Glad you liked the start, with my talented acting and modesty being my great strengths, my early days on Coronation Street were not wasted then! 😉👍😁😁That truck would probably have squeezed through but whether he did and not take any ones wing mirrors off is any ones guess. Someone just pointed out that I had not responded to a particular comment and found a great load that have not appeared to me on the page video but have been put into channel mentions by You Tube which covers the whole channels videos.
