It still baffles me why people come out of their property to try and tell people what the law is, when they haven't a clue.
Territorial pissing.
Because certain managers spend all day telling colleagues what to do, so they inherit a god complex, where they believe that they're right about absolutely everything.
And therefore everyone must agree with their opinion, or they're wrong. Police are absolutely typical of this.
I'm a contractor and I can tell you, 100% of the time, you can count on the health and safety buffoons' to overstep their boundaries and fuck with you over the silliest things.
I can confirm that - always looking to assert their authority.

A lot of people in Health and Safety roles, in my experience, are petty little people and are attracted to it for the percieved power it gives them. They give the decent ones that actually care a bad reputation.
The only reason some of the idiots are in H&S position is that they are No good for anything else and because of the position they expect to be OBEYED

Anytime you see products in a yard without cover, inquire about whether their items are UV-stabilized and if all stock are properly rotated. What QC processes are there for ensuring products meet proper certification etc.
Also, carry a clipboard and make notes furiously.

Before giving orders, do yourself a favour and check, look up drones and drone requirements and laws, and a simple Google search will make you less of a fool, especially HSE advisors, in my opinion they are the worst species, promoted above their intelligence and in some cases dangerous in their own right, his mate was just being an ass trying damage control.

Using the Health and safety officers logic, when he leaves work he will undoubtedly stop outside several private businesses and homes he'll not actually be going in but he will be closer to them than the drone was to Polypipe, thus causing a distraction to employees or home owners.

Legally the situation is very simple.
If the drone is a genuine distraction to their staff, then the company should have stopped those allegedly distracted staff from undertaking that specific duty until the 'distraction' was no longer present.

I used to drive those combilift 3 wheelers. Great machines that can get into the tightest spot and down an aisle, but God almighty they leak hydraulic oil like a sieve and wear through hosea like crazy.

Perfect scenario with security 👊💯…. The pipe is stacked like that, so when you unload it… it goes end to end so you can connect it easily without turning every second pipe round…. And the brains of the company makes an arse of themselves 🤡😂
and you couldn't stack the pipes without the stagger because the socket on the end of the pipe is a larger diameter than the pipe and therefore cannot be packed tightly together without the stagger.
One of these times ask them if they can find out for you how much they bought or rent the airspace for and what altitude that goes up to 😂

Should have asked him for a written copy of his assessment that the drone forms a credible risk to their operations.
That the law permits such drone flying indicates any risk has been considered as part of the regulations for drone use.
Did the chief seagull ask permission to fly over these premises. If so, did they promise not to cause a distraction.....
