It really is amazing with stunning views in lots of the country, in fact we met a couple who had been touring here for 30 years and they'd still got a list of areas and roads to see in the future. 👍😁
Thank you Mike it's been great so far but of course will have to head back soon but we're making the run down a two day one as it was a bit of a stretch at over 8 hours driving to get here. 👍😁
How's it going mate, is this the second or third time you left England. All I can say is Wow! absolutely stunning scenery, you can not go wrong with Scotland I love Scotland the mountains, valleys the water, you can see why Scotland is Wales big brother, the scenery reminds me of Snowdonia on a bigger scale. It's a different driving for pleasure than driving for a job. Hope you both have a great time, catch you soon mate, take care
Hello Shaun thanks for that and completely agree that you can't go wrong here. Wales bigger brother is quite an apt description I think. Will be back to reality in a couple of days, take care. 👍😁
Hello there it's been fantastic so far but have got to get the bike loaded tonight ready for the return trip back to the Peak District, making the return leg over two days. Beautiful sunshine and warm here so far today, I'll try and bring some back with me! 👍😁
@@cloudmaker It looks lovely, I've never ventured that far north yet, and yes please bring some sun and warmth back as it is currently quite cold and damp.
@@Peakwanderer We've had a lot of changeable weather but you need to get up here as I realised I'd wasted a lot of time not coming here back in 2017 when I rode up from home and rode the main coast of Scotland from the south west all around to the south east at Berwick on Tweed. 1956 miles in less than 4 days. Seen lots of bikes today in some appalling rain, so pack your wet gear just in case!
I hope you are having or have had a great getaway! Its on my bucket list to drive to and around Scotland one day! I hope all is well! Stay safe out there 🚗🚗
Still in Scotland mate start heading south later making a two day journey of it. Don't put off going to Scotland, I made my first proper trip here in 2017 on my bike and realised I'd wasted a lot of time not getting here before. Met an English couple from Cambridgeshire yesterday who have been touring Scotland every year for 30 years and they still had a list of places they've not seen yet. 👍😁
Hello K9 we are still here, hoping I've got a clip of a deli that would suit you, The K9 Deli! Drive through/ drive in place for dog food I think but not looked it up. Back to reality in a couple of days. 👍😁
Welcome to bonnie Scotland driver, although you're well used to narrow roads in the eight wheeler. But it's nice to be able to stop when you see a scenic spot. I hope the weather is kind to you.
Hello Colin we've had a bit of rain but it certainly hasn't detracted from the fantastic time we're having. Beautiful and warm this morning near Forres but soon we'll have to travel back down to reality! I've been competing in the Scottish National Road Rally since 2017 but these last few years we've turned it into an 8 day trip as well, well why wouldn't you with such stunning scenery. 👍😁
Hello Sarah, thanks for that. Just a snapshot of one days journey to conquer the Bealach na Ba route that we did South to North before now we've done it North to South. A bit misty on the mountain and not a road for a nervous driver. We made a video before showing the full route for anyone that could not experience it for themselves part 1 is in this link ruclips.net/video/5P-UkfwzrH4/видео.html All the best Sarah.
The Monroes look good this time of the year. We did a 3 week tour of Scotland last year in our motorhome, 1439 miles round trip from Bristol at a cost of £388 in diesel plus 11 individual campsite stops. Looking for a local brew in Edinburgh ended up having a pint of cornish Tribune but we did find a pub serving haggis. It was I was told, made in Scotland. Beware of mad Scotsmen speeding around the bends.
That works out at amazing value for money when you think about it Das. Your pint story reminds me of going to Cornwall and spending ages finding somewhere that sold Cornish pasties! 👍😁
@@cloudmaker Lol. I used to deliver to a trading estate on the docks at Teignmouth and regularly bought a traditional cornish pasty, made in Nottingham. You're not alone.
Hello Kevin we'd had torrential rain both before and after this video. Not any warmer than at home but a lot more changes in the weather as you travel about just due to the height changes I think. 👍😁
@@cloudmaker Well, that certainly looks deceiving! 🤣🤣 Here I was thinking it was all sunshine & roses! 🤣🤣 That scenery reminds me of northern NSW through to the mid coast of QLD. The difference being it's always warm to very hot up there. And the humidity rarely gets below 65% in winter. The gauges only read to 100% for summer.. the real figure? 🤣🤣

Absolutely right Graham but we were surprised to see just how many foreign visitors were travelling in that part of Scotland yesterday, some even in classic vehicles. Of course I suppose even I'm a foreigner up here! 👍🤣
Absolutely stunning. Have a nice break.

Well to us that's called a mountain but up here it's just another hill!😂😂🤣👍Peak wander has it nailed below.
It just goes to show that you don't need a Passport to find a worthwhile place to visit.

So beautiful. Was this Scotland?
Yes it was indeed. Love Scotland, pity it's so far away or we'd go more often.
Did rex enjoy the trip also.
He didn't travel this time he was left guarding our house! 👍
