    The problem is the design with both the switches amd the controller. The computer controls the horn and the switches are on-off type. Iys as if whoever designed the horn system wanted it to be as unsafe as possible. The switches would have to be replaced with those that give variable voltage depending on how hard they're pushed and the wiring would need to bypass the computer and go straight to a relay that activates the horn. A simple design overlooked by the politics of carmakers.

      The purpose of the video is to show how to make the mounting holes for this type of lights that do not exist on older 3 gen Tacomas. the wiring can be done in many ways depending how you want the lights to light up. They can be connected to the dome light, an independent on and off switch or connected to power when you turn on your daylight driving lights or anything you want. I did a video on how to tap into the dome lights or look at a video by Yota Xpedition they show an easier way to connect the wires to the dome lights. Hope this helps.

      Well I guess you will have to call the Jeep manufacturer and tell them that. In 2015 they got rid of the tombstone tweeter and put them pointing up to the windshield. And they are still the same way today. I did not notice any difference in sound after doing this mod. And I don't see any videos of anybody modifying their Jeeps to face the tweeters forward. And I guess you you might as well call Toyota and tell them the same thing. The tweeters on my Tacoma also point up to the windshield. You might hear a difference in sound if they are pointing forward but nothing that I noticed. However you will notice a difference if you replace the factory tweeters with better ones. So do the mod and don't worry about it affecting the sound you won't notice a thing specially if you put better tweeters than the factory ones. Those Cali raised fog lights and ditch lights are horrible. I bought a used 2018 Tacoma that already had them on and they were badly corroded. The amount of rust on the metal plates that hold the fog lights was astronomical, never seen that much rust on a fog light assembly. Regardless, I ripped them off and put the stock fog lights back on and I also removed the ditch lights completely. Now the truck looks fantastic!

    • @juliodavid49
      @juliodavid49 7 месяцев назад

      Well some people don't take care of their trucks. Anything that you buy and don't take care of it will deteriorate very fast. My truck is washed often and is garaged, so so far no rust. Do you really think that the stock equipment is much better than the after market stuff? If you take care of it it will last.

    • @giorgioskaraiskakis9548
      @giorgioskaraiskakis9548 7 месяцев назад

      @@juliodavid49 No I don’t necessarily think that the stock stuff looks better but it definitely alleviates problems such as burnt out LED pods etc. You can install super bright LED bulbs that when they burn out you just buy another bulb or even halogen bulbs for that matter. When you install a pod that is a closed unit you put yourself into a situation that if and when the unit burns out or stops working you need to buy another sealed pod. Those Cali pods are typically sold in pairs and here in Canada that pair costs $300.00 CAD. Much easier, cheaper and much less potential for headaches with just changing the bulbs from halogen to LED. There are so many LED bulb options that even reach 24000 lumens and you can even select amber or white. I’m in Canada, you have zero chance of those metal plates not rusting and corroding with the amount of snow that we get and with the amount of salt that they put all over the roads in the winter, even if you wash your truck every day.

    Great fix! Thanks for the video, it gave me the confidence to fix up my own gauge cluster 👍

      If you spray it thick enough it you can peel it off. For areas that are thin, just use Goo Gone automotive and let it sit until it is soft and just wipe it off.

      It will take a couple of days for most or all of it to clear up. If you have some stubborn ones that just won't disappear, just take a sharp pin and very gently poke it once then rub it with a dry microfiber towel. Get as much air out of it as you can. It might not disappear completely at first but mine disappeared completely in a day. Good luck.

    Just to be clear is that the original one or did you buy a new one for that spot? Is it cool to feel it as you drive and listen to music?

      It is a different subwoofer with a much bigger magnet. However it did not change the sound much. I think that the CD player did not have enough power to make a difference in the sound. I probably would have needed a separate amp to amplify the bass.
