    Thank you. I hope to do this as well with the Kicker tweeters. You have been the only person that I found that shows the OEM wiring and the diagram. Crutchfield and Kicker have been disappointing at this point... Thank you!

      Glad it helped. That's why I do the videos. I was also going to do the Kickers but since my speakers came with the tweeters I decided to use them. But from what I hear the Kickers sound really good and are easy to install. Thanks for the comment.

    Thank you very much; disconnecting the factory harness and wiring it into my new speakers worked perfectly for me. I did wire-in crossovers as well.

    Thank you. I'm installing Infinity Primus tweeters with inline crossovers and all four door speakers. I had the door replacement under control, but the tweeter was giving me issues.

    I took the stock capacitor on the factory speaker plug off and soldered to the upper part for the negative.

    What hole saw size did you use ? I used one and it was too big

    • @juliodavid49
      @juliodavid49 7 дней назад

      I don't remember, and I can't measure it without taking it apart. Find some scrap plastic and make a plastic washer. Make it so that the tweeter does not go thru it and big enough to cover the hole on the on the plate. You can buy plastic pieces at the home center that is used for picture framing if you don't have a scrap piece lying around. Test the size of the hole by making it on a piece of cardboard first. Hope this helps.

    Did you ever add an amp? That’ll make a massive difference, even without a sub

    • @juliodavid49
      @juliodavid49 3 месяца назад +1

      I have not added an amp. I don't feel that I need it. I am very happy with sound I get now with this setup. I also changed the back door speakers and everything sounds really good. The highs are very nice and the bass response is really really good without distortion or rattling.

      @@juliodavid49 I hear ya man. I just replaced mine also and am for the most part pleased as well. I may eventually get a small powered sub, but I’m not in any hurry. I mostly listen to metalcore, worship music, and symphonies, so nothing overly bass heavy. They have some 8” powered subs I’d like to eventually look at, but that’ll be down the road.
      Glad to hear you’re satisfied with your rig. I hope it continues to work well for ya.
      Thanks for the video, it helped me out a lot.
      Be blessed, sir, but most importantly, be a blessing. ✌🏻

    There is no sub in this package, crutchfield sends you a metra 71-8110 so you don't have to disassemble the factory speaker

      Nope no sub. But I get really good bass with this set up. Bass is really good and no distortion. Crutchfield didn't offer me the adapters at the time, also I wasn't planning on using those tweeters. I was going to buy the Subaru tweeters but I figured since I got these I might as well try them and save a couple of bucks. I am glad I did because they sound really good too.

    What wire did you connect the jl crossover with?

    • @juliodavid49
      @juliodavid49 3 года назад

      Look at the video at 5:43 it shows the crossover connected to the tweeter and the factory connection that I took off of the factory tweeter. That means that the crossover goes between the tweeter and the wires that go to your amp, even if you don't do what I did and splice into the factory wires. Positive to positive negative to negative. Hope this is what you are asking and it helps.

      @@juliodavid49 oh ok. Your jl tweeters are not perform to their full potential bc of the stock capacitor. Also the jl doors speakers they are not flushed tight to the door like the stock speaker , if you look close you will see what I'm talking about.

      It's not the tweeters. It's the head unit They're de tuned. No speaker will live upto it's full potential with a crappy stock radio
