Easy way to connect footwell LED to dome light on 3rd Gen Tacoma.

How to power footwell LED's from dome light on 3rd Gen Tacoma access cab. Lights will go on when doors open. You can also add fender well rock lights to this connection.

You could have just tap in behind the panel on the left side of the steering wheel. Good video. Thank you

The problem with that is, first you have to order some piggyback fuse adapters. Then you have to find the one to tap into that controls the dome lights, if it is there, because that one could be in the engine compartment. Then you have to figure out which size fuse to use for the new fuse. Then you have to drill or cut the cover to run the wire thru. See how "easy " it is? I didn't find any videos of anybody taping into that panel to do this mod. If you know how much easier it is then I would like to see your video and I'll do it that way next time.

KISS method. I like it. Question - why not route two wires from the over-head cabin light - forward to the map light area, then along the windshield molding then to, or otherwise direct to the passenger front door a-pillar?

There are a million ways to route these wires. For me this was the easiest way to do it. If you want to do it differently then do it the way is simpler for you.
