I own 3 of them and never had any trouble with them… one of my favorite models of pump shotgun ever.
I have a question? On my Windham AKA Bushmaster AR-15 on the lower stamp it has the Bull pup insignia, then on the adjustable stock it has the Bushmaster emblem but it doesn’t have the bull pup or the AR-15 rifle on it. It just says “Bushmaster under the emblem. Does this mean that my weapon is older with these differences.
Is it a Bushmaster made in Windham or is it a Windham Arms AR-15? As far as I know, the Bullpup Bushmaster logo should be the older of the two. It seems from what I read they began changing to the new logo around 2004-05. I know when I replaced my fixed stock with the telescoping stock directly from Bushmaster in late 2004 the new adjustable stock has the newer logo.
@@Alloy211 On the lower receiver it has Bushmaster on it, then just beside the the trigger housing it say’s Windham MC. Maybe it was put together with left over upper and lower receivers. Thank you for responding means a lot.
@@Alloy211 I would like to send some pictures to ya and get your opinion on the rifle. Just let me know if you’re interested. Thank you so much
I love my Hipoint 995 but I just forked over the money for a Camp 9 and I am looking forward to being able to compare them. The newer PC carbines are great but nothing is better than a classic wood stock Marlin.
The classic wood is a very pleasant departure from most modern pistol caliber carbines. Not that I don't appreciate those as well, but there's something that's just aestically and ergonomically pleasing about the full wood stock.
Our government and business will allow anything else Chinese to come in ,,including masses of Chinese nationals over our border ,, and if the price is right our government will allow the sale of millions of acres of farmland and allow the Chinese to own 25% of the hogs in the United States if that doesn’t frighten you then I don’t know what does it basically means the government is for sale and Wall Street who will sell their own mothers for a profit run our country ………But,,, But , we can’t let law abiding citizens buy Chinese ammo no way,,

Thanks for your post on the Chiappa 1873-22. I have 2 of them each with a .22LR and .22WMR Cylinder.
You're welcome, thank you. I wish we had the convertible Chiappa as we have the convertible Heritage in .22LR/.22 WMR and I'd like to see how they compare.
The manual says disassembly is seldom necessary for the model 20 and this would probably apply to most pumps. The Model 20 is a great shotgun. Someone probably abused this trigger assembly trying to force it into place. Cast aluminum alloy? Really smart, effective and professional repair!
Thank you, unfortunately I've seen many trigger assemblies damaged in such a way. I do agree that it is something that with care the chances of this happening could be mitigated significantly.
Thanks! This helped me a lot. I couldn't figure out what was wrong. While watching your video, I disassembled my trigger assembly. Found the problem almost immediately. I had a broken hammer strut. I replaced the strut and reassembled while watching this video. I really do appreciate your hard work making this. Thank you 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
You're welcome, it makes me really happy you were able to find and repair the problem with the help of the video. It's a big part of why I do my channel at all. Thank you and have a good day.
I unscrewed my Poly choke off. I can't get it lined up properly. When i tighten down and then click counter one click it should be set to FULL but it's blank. I have started the choke at all six locations and still can't get it lined up like it should. You have any tips. It is driving me crazy
That's an interesting predicament. The Mdl. 200 is a close friend of mines and is not in my possession at the moment so I took a look at the adjustable choke on my J.C. Higgins Mdl 20 last night to see if I could gleam any insight from it. Unfortunately I think I'll need to look at the Mdl 200 itself before I can be of much assistance. Although I would suggest dissembling it again and seeing if there's something you missed that might index it to the correct position. This weekend I'll try to get a look at the 200 and get back to you.
Nice video, nice rifle. I've got an earlier SOLID FRAME MODEL that needed a little TLC. The bore was PRETTY BAD. 😢 It looked like it was shot A LOT and NOT CLEANED much or not at all. 😮 There was a bit of old hardened lead stuck in the rifling. I removed the stock and forearm and soaked the action in a solution of 50% hydrogen peroxide and 50% distilled vinegar. I used the same solution to get lead out of a 357 that shot a bunch of cast reloads at magnum velocities which made getting the stuck lead out of the rifling, IT WORKED with the help of some hard work. It looks much better NOW. I shoot CB Shorts, CCI QUIETS and Aguila SUPER Colibri. It shoots pretty good and mine extracts the empty casings very well if I do it correctly. I load and shoot then after cocking the hammer I pull the breach block back halfway before it starts to extract then pop it back the rest of the way and the empty case POPS OUT SMARTLY. Don't know if it was supposed to be that way but I DO HAVE ANOTHER Remington Rolling Block a (1 1/2) one in 22, it's just slightly smaller FRAME than the #1's (still a big heavy rifle with a heavy contoured octagon barrel (3/4" across the flats). That rifle has a different type of extractor that comes from the left side of the chamber and REALLY POPS OUT the empty casings. 😮 I would hate to have to LUG that rifle around much because of the weight, but it's a GREAT SHOOTER. I'm trying to find the ammo it likes to find out its REAL POTENTIAL. I have a few other old single shot 22's, they are FUN TO SHOOT PLUS THERE IS A LOT OF HISTORY in my hands!!!😊
Thank you and thanks for the great information on removing leading and what you've found to help with extraction on the rolling block. I really love all rolling blocks in their simplicity and reliability. Last year Apex gun parts had some shot out surplus rolling blocks from overseas. I can't recall the exact models but I really wanted to pick one up and try making it into a .22 LR with a barrel liner. Unfortunately budgets and time conspired against those ideas.
I mounted a scope on mine. Fun plinker. Good hog thumper up close. Very informative video bud. Good job. ✅
My model 20 does not have a tiny flathead screw, it has a roll pin that does not need to be removed
I appreciate your additional information. I'm sure there could be small design differences between different production years. Do you happen to have an idea when yours was made?
Buy China, make China Great Again. Oh, and Make EU great again too!
I'm thinking that's sarcasm..... hopefully. Although buying either is buying Chinese.
How did you add the pic rail on the handgaurd?
I used a short section of picatinny rail with slotted mounting holes that enabled me to use the round holes in the bottom of handguard as mounting holes. Removed the inner heat shield and used a couple threaded inserts inside to screw into. I also drilled through the heat shield to allow the screws room to be tightened. I'll try to get a short video up of it this weekend as I did that a long time ago and am just going off what I remember.
Hi There, I’m only a year late. My GSG MP40, 22L calibre, comes with a foot long silencer. Well, a foot long, plus or minus a few inches. Either way, it looks ridiculous. But, since the folding stock won’t fold, it’s considered a rifle, and requires a 16in barrel. - Regarding sac religious with an optic, I can only imagine what they would say about the dang-long fake silencer. Oh, I forgot to mention; the silly silencer is indeed fake. Maybe one day the gun rules will change and I can cut off the offensive piece of tubing. One can only hope.
Hopefully as I'd love to be able to add a folding stock to mine but it's not worth the hassle. I have considered putting a linear compensator on my GSG but only as I think it would add some novelty. I'm curious how does you .22 function with different ammunition?
This gun was made earlier than you stated, it was made from 1946 or 48 to 1962. You can find the date by the code on the barrel. Mine is Model 583-53 which dates it to 1948 I believe. I did the proper research long ago so don't hold me to these numbers but I certainly wouldn't do a video unless I had these facts fresh
Thank you for catching my mistake, I hadn't even realized I said "1956-1962" instead of "1946-1962". I miss spoke as my example was made I believe in 1956. Production did begin in 1946 from my research which I did at the time. Regardless of your assumptions and attitude, I do appreciate it.
California has some strict gun laws but the one ammo that is always available in my area is 22 lr we have a ton of 22lr for decent prices I stocked up on some aguila in hollow points & solid points I bought 5000 rounds of aguila for about 30 dollars a box for 500 rounds 22lr is very abundant in California
I'm glad to hear that something other than very strange political ideals are abundant in California. Seriously though, that's not a bad price at all.
@@Alloy211 as bad as the California gun laws are when it comes to 22 lr it’s considered cheap ammo in California but any other ammo is very expensive I own several firearms in different calibers & 22lr is always available & still affordable over here in Comifornia 😂 specially the aguila which in my opinion is just as good & in some cases better than the more popular cci ammo & for the price it’s my go to ammo for 22lr can’t beat it’s quality & price
@albertojuarez8324 Agreed on the quality and price. I hold out hope that maybe at some point things will change for Californians.
one time i took it down to this level and reassembled it. After 200 rds one of the two ejector pins walked out of the whole just a 1/16th of an inch. It locked up the slide so it could not be removed. That 1/16 wound up in the slide groove and wouldn't let it come off. Suggest installing new pins once they are removed.
I'd definitely agree if there's any looseness to the pins. As mine even after removal are still tight as the dickens. But certainly something to consider.
I got my Mitchell Mauser back in 1989 for the under $300 it came with the Bennett and holster tool kit two magazine holders. Plus leather gun strap that is worn and not stiff. certificate of authenticity and I still have the box it came in. When I shoot the rifle, it kicks like a howitzer cannon.
That's pretty close to what mine came with, I still have my box around as well. We love taking ours out every time we go to shoot. If only I could get the time to shoot mine more. Thanks for watching and sharing.
The aluminum piece in the forend is original, its to keep hot gasses that blow by the piston from building carbon on the wood and then eventually interfering with the piston and being hard to clean off the unfinished wood underside. If you dont clean it for a long time of shooting you'll see the carbon builup on it.
Thank you, that's good to know.
Tula too me is stock it up ,,it is cheap, and if TEOTWAWKI ever happens you’ll have it
Agreed, I've had good luck with Tula, it was just an interesting observation more than anything.
@@Alloy211yeah it works and goes bang I’ve never had a problem with it ,, but it’s not gonna win you a competition and you don’t want to use it for hogs or Deer,, the 154 grain soft point maybe.. That’s why I said it’s a good cheap stock up ammo
@Jrh-rp7np Agreed, out my long barreled AK I can't really say I have too many complaints about it's accuracy.
Rought Rider is not USA owned anymore; it's owned by Taurus from Brazil 😢
That's true, although at least it's not a Chinese firm or an investment group that will gut the companys it buys and destroys the brands...... Remington, Bushmaster..etc.
I love my JC HIGGINS Model 20 12 gauge shotgun that I purchased years ago, I had it professionally air brushed in camo. Also had a gunsmith install choke tubes so with a rifled tube it shoots 2” groups at 50 yards. With an extra full choke patterns 79 +% at 30 yards and is a great turkey gun!
I certainly can't fault your appreciation for the J.C. Higgins Mdl. 20. It's one of my favorite pump shotguns to take out to the range. I was very happy to have recently gotten mine in working order again. It sounds like you've done a lot of appropriate modifications to yours. Thanks for watching.
@@Alloy211 Yes, I've done a couple of slug shoots with mine on my RUclips channel as well: ruclips.net/video/OzphQmysIIE/видео.html
My dad bought me that gun in 20 Gauge when I was 10 years old and like any 10-year-old first thing I did when I got home was take it apart. It took me 3 days to get that spring back in that magazine tube. Those guns came with a wooden plug to limit how many rounds you could put in the gun for duck hunting. You take that spring stick it in the tube then the retaining cap and use that wooden plug to stop that spring from going all over and it helps push that retainer clip in place. I didn't dare tell the dad I had those parts out of the gun under my bed he would of beat my @$$. He used to get so mad at me for taking everything apart. And yes, he told me when I got DON'T you LOL
That's a great story and I can really relate to the taking everything apart. Although I was usually just taking my own things apart so I mostly got in trouble for getting into my dad's tools. I'm pretty sure when he passed away in 2015 he thought I still had some of his tools from when I was a kid.
you were lucky those fragments not bounced back to you
We shoot thousands of rounds at these targets and other than AP ammunition we have no problems with ricochets or fragments splashing back. But I also make all of the steel targets we use so I have a good knowledge of the subject. I agree though caution and safety should always be taken seriously.
Looks like a solid fix. Something I was thinking about is having the action back then zip tie the group to the receiver so the group sits against the bottom of the action. Then you know for sure the action slides atop the trigger group and maintains the smoothest movement back and forth after being pinned.
Thank you, it's holding up well so far. I should have mentioned it in the video but with the bolt all the way back the trigger can still slide a little too deep into the receiver. The best place seems to be, at least with my shotgun, about half way opened for depth. That's why I didn't use my bolt as a gauge for final placement but it's definitely a way to verify things before you commit.
It’s a very affordable OTF for common use. Take it easy on it lol Also it’s still available for $20 it’s great for that price
To each there own, but quality wise it's at best flea market and wouldn't hold up to of regular use. At $20 it's about $15 more than it's worth, given that for less than $40 you can get a serviceable knock off but not counterfeit OTF knife. As I said though, other people can do as they do, I just don't want to be that person.

You’re a life saver!!!!

You're more than welcome, I'm glad you found it too be helpful.
Good presentation
Thank you, I appreciate you watching.
How is the drum silly? Lmao
It's always telling lame fart and dad jokes but besides that and more practically, rarely does the drum make it through all 75 rounds without additional winding and the clear plastic back although cool to watch isn't really strong enough to believe it won't break without kid glove handling.
@@Alloy211that’s why you should’ve went with the rwb Korean 75 round drum mag I got one off gun broker for about $80 and it came brand new and greased to hell and my zpap92 and wasr 10 runs it FLAWLESS through all 75 rounds haven’t tried it on my vska yet because im scared the dam gun might explode lol
@@trollyoazz5439 I have heard that the steel backed KCI drums function better than the plastic backed. If I had the budget I'd prefer to get a Romanian made Romanian pattern but those are a bit pricey.
these guns wont fire when out of battery when slam firing unless they are damaged. they are meant to do this, the hammer should drop only after the bolt locks up. if yours doesn't talk to a gunsmith,
That's correct but if someone doesn't realize their gun isn't locking up it could certainly be a problem.
my m200 hasnt been taken apart in the 20 plus years ive owned it. i guess its about time for a good cleaning. still works great though, and super smooth even after only cleaning it from the outside.
As long as you're not having any issues with reliability or fouling you may never need to break it down that far. Although there are people that would certainly disagree with me.
When u shot it did it jam if so what did u change on it ?
Let me know
Because the grip is so short it can wabble a bit and cause jams. It wasn't a constant issue but an issue nonetheless. There are a few different solutions to that problem, the simplist solution, and the one I use, is just a layer of electrical tape on the magazine. Placed far enough down from the top that it's just inside the grip. With the barrel I haven't experienced any jamming from just it's installation.
Thanks for the video. Mine came with the wide trigger, and the two points on the top dig into my finger and make it painful to shoot. I swapped it out for the old skinny style and it feels great now. I don't know what Beretta was thinking with the design of the wide trigger.
You're welcome, I like the wide trigger for double action firing but if you have bigger hands than mine I can see how that could be a pinch point. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.
I believe they may have fixed this issue with newer productions of this gun. I noticed that my trigger bar is completely different from the one you showed, and was alot more similar to your trigger bar solution.
That would be great if they've addressed the issue. Honestly that's sort of thing I like to hear. Unlike my video I did on purchasing this and my Heritage from Rural King, I still have people commenting on that video that the situation has gotten no better.
Looks exactly like the one I got from my grandpa
It's a handy little rifle and great to have gotten from your grandfather.
The police may tend to round up to the next 1/8 inch. Just an opinion. If you are connected to the right political person in Corrupt Chicago ?
I'm sure if you have the correct "friends" in Chicago carrying a knife is the least of the things you're getting away with. Not to be taken the wrong way, I have always enjoyed visiting Chicago..... visiting being the operative word.
Thanks. I doubt I could ever get them to come out that symmetrical, but if the need arises, I might try. Two suggestions: If you remove the oil from the gun, I think good duck tape would work better to hold it in place and be less "in the way" when working on it than a zip tie. Also, I think a slotted button head type screw with a thin edge on the cap would look better, something like you see on other firearms. Plus, you wouldn't have the allen head holes collecting dirt, etc. They also distribute the stress of tightening over a broader area, maybe less likely to back out? Just a couple of suggestions, not criticism, that might prove useful. Thanks for the video.
Those are good points that you raise and if someone else were to do it they may want to consider them. Going with the flathead screws would definitely give it an older pump shotgun aesthetic.
Found one on EBay for $30 and jumped on it. Guy had no idea what it was. I have a Yugo M24/47 that needed a bayonet without paying K98 prices. Technically it’s a variant of the VZ24 short action Mauser so it’s about as correct as it can get for the money
That's a great price and they look really handsome on the K98, I really like the reverse blade as well. If you're looking for a long K98 bayonet check out Apex gun part's FN Model 24 long bayonets. I picked up a "rusty" quality one for less than $20 on sale I believe, and it turned out pretty decent with just a good clean up. I have a video on that as well.
Wow
Amazing
If your still here I need help, I can't knockout the trigger pin, I've done everything I can to it but I can't get it out. Any suggestions?
I'm still here, is the pin moving at all?
New one for me! I can't help but believe that came from the ammo factory that way. Just got by quality control!
If I hadn't gone through ever round meticulously, as I had no idea of their condition, before I put them in storage I'd say that was possible. I pulled any suspect rounds out. I would have caught that as even corrosion would get a round segregated.
Looks fantastic to me! What size shot was that?
It was an alternating mix of birdshot (7 1/2 shot) and 9 pellet 00 buck.

That's a great find at that price especially in today's market, assuming you did purchase it recently. I wouldn't pass that deal up if I had the chance regardless of if I already owned a K98 or two already.
@@Alloy211 oh yeah I got that k98 in January you do have to look for a while to find good deals but Mitchell’s are refurbed russian refurbs. Good for shooting and that’s what the gun is meant for but just not collectors pieces and it’s sad to see so many with rich history refinished that’s why people don’t like them. They would restamp guns and grind off OG markings
@WhiteBirdPlays Being that recent it's a very good price, I've seen people trying to sell M48 Yugos for that much recently. I understand why collectors have their issues with them but as a shooter I have no complaints. Then there's that lack of collector interest that allows me to throw a front sight hood on a rifle that wouldn't have had one without ruffling too many feathers. That and I don't feel like I'm ruining a pristine example by taking it out to the range almost every time we go. So there are certainly disadvantages but also some advantages, I'd never buy one as a collector's item though that's for certain.
