  • In this video I take a look at and evaluate a Ganzo 729 folding pocket knife that's very similar to a Syderco knife.

Doesn’t look like a Manix, but does look a little like a Paramilitary 2 with a bar lock. I love Benchmade’s Axis lock, Spyderco’s compression lock is my favorite. I work around people all day, so I prefer a little smaller knife, like the Para 3.
If it holds up, the Ganzo looks like it could be fun to put to work.

That's what I had thought, I'm currently carrying it to see how it holds up to daily use. At this price point it could be an alternative for people that wouldn't spend the cost of a higher quality brand.

@@Alloy211 I had an entry level to the carry/knife addiction. Of course, it was Spyderco’s Delica, when they were introduced. Having a clip changed everything. Working in the warehouse, I used quite a few cheaper Chinese Spydies too. I’ve only Carried a Benchmade 940 for the past 2 weeks, so I’m not just a Spyderco guy.

I had my share of budget knives before I started carrying my Benchmade every day. Although my AFCK is my continual companion I always appreciate a well made and designed knife. Spyderco is a company that overall I can't think of many bad things to be said and I'm looking forward to when I add one officially to my collection.
